We usually get flyers that remind us that Shaw's will be in town the week before and my pops-in-law already had a plan to grab a ton of ribs and sides. This past weekend I found myself getting down and dirty with these tender, flavorful bbq pork ribs, mac n cheese, and of course the Filipinx side of me had to add some rice. We asked for a BBQ style cuisine so he made pulled pork sliders, caprese sticks and bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese. Absolutely to die for! We were so happy that we hired him again for my grandmothers bday dinner a few months later. It was a formal sit down dinner for 10 people and he not only cooked an delicious meal with duck roulade that blew everyone's mind, but he also was a wonderful addition to the event. It had the same great flavors. $15 for 4 pieces cut in half was steep but it did hit the spot at the event. 2. Cali drip - I was excited to try this. I'm a big fan of calamansi. Sadly, this disappointed me. It was all sugar and less tart. It reminded me of the sugary kool-aid my aunties and uncle's used to make.
