Piece of advice have the right bar tender behind your bar. This will be a lengthy review. First drink we ordered and asked a question her response was filled with attitude/rolling of the eyes. Keep in mind at time she was serving one other customer because it was not busy. Closer to the end of night an elderly man across from the bar sitting at a table was trying to grab her attention, ignored. (Keep in mind again at this time only serving one customer). We approached the bar to tell her this elderly gentlemen needed assistance. Her response and demeaner right from the start was disgusting. Her initial response because at this point the band was playing was WHAT!! Better response would have been - Sorry I didn't hear you, please can you repeat. Then we proceeded to tell her the elderly gentlemen was trying to get her attention. The level of disrespect this bar tender had. Her response, the rolling of her eyes and leaning back with her hand to her chest - I am not a waitress I am a bartender (keep in mind no one at the bar except us and I am  assuming the Manager or body guard - don't worry I will get to her too); bartender better response - Thank you for bringing that to my attention I will see if I can get a waitress or I will go over to see how I can help. No she went across the bar to continue with her disgusting behavior over to the Manager/mother/ body guard clearly going on about how we brought to her attention someone out side of her bar needed help. I couldn't watch the nonsense and went over. Yes with great passion in my voice as I do not take kindly to younger generations and establishments disrespecting elders. I said all we did was bring to your attention someone needed your assistance and your response was not necessary with attitude. Then whoever she is; I don't care was acting like a bodyguard - we are adults -I'm not there to bar fight this is not the movies but I will not tolerate disrespect when I am in there giving you my time and money just like the rest of your customers who keep you open. Some advice for you - Make your new customer feel welcomed and they will come back - We had 15 others coming last night. Texted them don't bother not worth it. You treat your regulars good; guess what one day your regulars will move, find another establishment and even pass away. Two - Have your bartender and her body guard/manager/mother - Bartender teach her some respect when it comes to elders. Both of you need to go spend some time with other bartenders/managers/owners of great bars in the GTA. You both are not at their level. There is a positive - shoutout to the waitresses who did a great job last night serving their customers and to the band disappointed we couldn't stay to finish watching your set - enjoyed the music - beautiful voice from the young lady singing. Final note I usually do not leave reviews this one needs to be heard and as a bar goer I will make sure it is known you are not worth considering. One last comment to the bartender/Manager - Ask yourself if that was your elderly father sitting there and needed some assistance and you got the response we did last night - would you be satisfied with the response we got last night. The first area are high tables, the second area has roots and the third area has tables and is closed to the pool area. The place is really clean and looks new. Our server was friendly, albeit quite busy so she dropped drinks just by walking past, and we almost thought that she was not friendly but later on she did come and explain the wings flavour and realize that she was just busy. For the wings I would say that they aren't really huge rather. Are they more of a medium size what's good is that it seems like chicken wings it's heavily coated and the bones do not break up touch one thing about the wings here is that you can order one flavour for five wings, this will definitely make me come back. I really like the garlic Parmesan, the honey hot and the Monahans messy. They are coed with this sauce and I like it that way except for the honey hot one the reason I put one star is because the wings were on the dry side I hope they fix this. I did go during the wing night which is on Monday and I believe that their wings. $1.10 per wing. I think that they have these where there's actual entertainment. The balsamic vinegar salad dressing was overpowering the flavor of protein even though i didn't even use half. The service was moderate. Hot food came faster than the salad. Also our server was good she didn't come interrupting us too much. It wasn't busy even though it was about 12:45 p.m when we arrived. It didn't feel like a pub, more like a quiet casual restaurant. Couldn't even hear the sports tv on in their bar area. Even the music was very quiet so it was very easy to hear the other person talking at your table.

So, when my buddy's bar band was playing at a place that was nowhere near Square One, and that was kind of on my way to my buddy's place after we got off stage at Club 54, I decided to swing by and watch my pal's band rock the house. It's a British-style bar that brings some nice tradition with it. Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall fool you, it's got quite a bit of charm. It's set up in an L-shape, the bar lining the one wall with central tables and banquettes running parallel towards the stage area. There's also a patio which is secluded and quiet, that provides some sanctuary if you don't' dig the band's Tragically Hip cover. Another friend of mine (there appears to be a lot of my friends in this place for some reason) ordered wings which in turn made me order a plate. The wings appeared to be the size of a baby's forearm. Disturbing as that image may be, they were meaty and tasty. Sadly, I had to stick with honey-garlic as the majority didn't want spicy. Service (4.75/5) - I get the sense this has improved significantly over time but the current dynamic duo of Ellena and Yasmin do a great job of managing the bar and floor most nights. Food orders come out quickly and they are always attentive and friendly. Ellena is the sole reason I gave this place a second chance after having a couple bad first experiences. Atmosphere (4/5) - it's your typical locals bar with a central bar, lots of TVs and the requisite pool table. SJ is unique in that they have live bands 3-4 nights a week with no cover most nights. Crowds are muted Monday to Wednesday... and then fills up on Thursdays through Sunday. After coming here a few times I had locals coming up to me saying hi and getting to know you.
