Iced almond milk mocha

The coffee is delicious and the people are friendly and accommodating. This place has a very comfortable feeling about it. There's a small outside patio which is relaxing and a great place to distress or relax in the morning. Inside, there's an array of tables and chairs along with very comfortable couches and easy chairs. I give this place five stars and recommend it to any one.

If you're looking for a pleasant stop to chill on Bridgeway in Sausalito, I think this community cafe will more than do. The name comes from the firehouse next door, and it speaks to the welcome small-town vibe the place evokes. It was chilly the day I walked by, so I got the $4.50 cup of Coconut Grove Black Tea (Photo 2) to nurse while I debated with myself about walking to the houseboats. I lost. TEA - 4 stars...a nice brew with a hint of the tropical AMBIANCE - 5 stars...spacious with an inviting patio SERVICE - 4 stars...cordial TOTAL - 4 stars...definitely worth a respite here RELATED - Exploring north of San Francisco? Really fire coffee, pun intended! For years Firehouse coffee & tea has been on my bookmarks and finally got to try after a pleasant walk in downtown Sausalito. They did not disappoint. Waited in a short line, the staff was welcoming and friendly. Ordered a basic vanilla latte with oat milk. Really solid coffee and the syrups here are homemade. It was pretty good Perfect place to pick up caffeine and enjoy a beautiful day in the bay!

Cardamom Rose Matcha Latte (Soy Milk)

Working in Marin, my coworker and I typically rotate through a few cafes. At work, lots of people come to the office with Firehouse so I've been curious. During our caffeine carpool chat, I shared we should drop by and I'm so glad we did! We arrived early Friday morning. The cafe was quiet with a few people inside working and hanging out. Love the vibe of the cozy seating and neighborhood feel. There's also an outdoor patio but we didn't have time to look around. It's dog-friendly which is a plus and something I look forward to bringing my dog to. The service was efficient and friendly. Lots of neighborhood folks come by and the vibe is nice! Coworker and I are in our matcha era. We both got the Cardamom Rose Matcha Latte, I enjoyed mine with Soy Milk. This latte was so good, he said it was majority cardamom which I agree with. Very minimal rose flavor. This was a specialty drink but they also served typical coffee and teas. I look forward to trying their specialties or unique syrups! I highly recommend Firehouse Coffee and Tea for both Marin residents and visitors. It's a quaint coffee shop with good drinks. I'll for sure be back for my caffeine run before going to work! It's unassuming on the outside and located off Johnson Street with street and metered parking nearby.

Honey Lavender Late (Large) (6/2025)

Stumbled upon this cute coffee spot while visiting Sausalito. There's a tiny outdoor patio area in the back which is dog-friendly. There are a few other coffee shops nearby but this one seems to be a local favorite. It's just a block away from a police station and parking is easy with plenty of street/public spots. I ordered the Honey Lavender Latte (Large) ($9) - 8/10. The drink itself was delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the price. Like a lot of places, they list a base price on the menu but don't mention the prices of optional add-ons. I was expecting it to be around $4 but once the barista asked if I wanted all the extras, the price suddenly jumped to $9. I do wish they were a bit more upfront about the upcharges. I'm the type who doesn't like to cancel an order once I've committed so I went ahead and paid but it felt like a bit of a surprise. Still, the latte was tasty so I can't complain too much.

Got it. I'll turn this into a polished Yelp Elite-style narrative: observant, balanced, a little witty, and clearly written by someone who actually spends time here--not a fly-by latte tourist. This spot feels like the other side of Sausalito--in the best way. If Sausalito Bakery is the pressed-linen, weekend-brunch version of town, this place is where the everyday locals land. Same essence, very different energy. Cozy, familiar, and quietly charming without trying too hard. The space itself is warm and inviting, with a lived-in feel and a glowing sign in the back that somehow makes the whole room feel softer. There's a large communal table, plenty of indoor seating, and a steady hum of conversation that creates excellent white noise. It's a solid place to get work done--as long as you're not recording audio, because it does get a little loud--but for emails, planning, or a casual work session, it absolutely works. Now, the matcha. This is the real headline. I'll be honest: I used to actively avoid ordering matcha here. It was mediocre at best. About five months ago, they changed it--slight improvement, but still not there. I know the ownership was proud of that update, but something clearly changed again since then, because today's matcha was genuinely impressive. Like, stop-what-you're-doing impressive. At this point, I'm comfortable saying this is the best matcha in Sausalito. Egg Lady's is fine, but it doesn't come close. Sausalito Bakery is lovely to hang out in, and their pastries are great--but their matcha is forgettable. This one isn't. (The only matcha I've had locally that competes was at an ERIA Events gathering, but that's not exactly a walk-in situation, so it doesn't count.) If you're in Sausalito specifically looking for matcha, this is the place. They're also great with substitutions, service is quick, and the owner has a genuinely warm, welcoming presence--lots of friendly back-and-forth with regulars, which adds to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. I didn't try the pastries or sandwiches this time (not much of a pastry person), though everything looked solid. Outdoor seating exists, but with the weather being a bit unpredictable lately, indoor is the move. Fair warning: parking is a hassle. I parked in the lot near Trident, and while it worked, the valet experience was... unpleasant enough that I probably wouldn't do it again. Plan accordingly. All in all, this is a comfortable, local-feeling café with excellent matcha, good energy, and enough seating to make it a reliable go-to. It may not be the "scene," but it's exactly the kind of place you end up recommending when someone asks, "Where do you actually like to go?"

Excellent service and store presentation! I could not ask for anything more in terms of product, service, and store layout. White Chocolate cappuccino was engaging, fulfilling, and delicious!!!

Great coffee shop, super dog friendly, it was nice to just drop in and get some great tasting coffee. Staff was friendly and quick with the order. Very spacious place and has comfortable seating. Most definitely will be back. Whether you just want to chill here or grab and go this is the spot ! 5 stars all the way!!

This was our last stop during our day trip to Sausalito, we wanted to take some caffeine with us to go on our drive back! The interior is spacious yet super cozy - there's tables and chairs, and also some soft comfy looking sofa chairs near the middle of the space. We came in on a Sunday at around 1:30pm and there was nearly no one here, so we were able to order super fast. I got the chai latte with oat milk. It was a little too sweet, but still flavored well from the spices and drinkable. Heads up that there may not be any sweetness adjustment available (or at least we weren't offered any) so if you are sensitive to sweetness just be aware that this is on the sweeter side. There is a bathroom available with a code lock, just ask the barista for the bathroom code. Lovely cafe, would love to visit again!

I ordered the iced lavender honey latte, and it was difficult to taste the flavors. While I didn't quite enjoy my drink, the cafe itself is eclectic! It is attached to a firehouse and has a small courtyard in the back. The coffee itself was underwhelming, but I would recommend coming here to enjoy the cafe's unique location.

The vibe is chill, no false pretense airs - down to earth, welcoming you in to stay for a while. The coffee is spectacular with selections of flavor options true to their description including The Habibi Latte ($6.25) the Caramelized Banana Latte ($6.50) and the Strawberry Salted Honey Latte ($6.75). On my first visit, I ordered online for store pickup, The Habibi Latte ($6.25) 16 oz ($0.50) with Ghost Town Oat Milk ($0.25), Tigerwalk espresso ($0), double shot (default) in a disposable cup ($0.25). This latte has flavors of orange blossom, cardamom, clove and vanilla syrup. The Habibi Latte was velvety with the flavors of spice and a hint of orange lingering on the tongue. The milk was steamed perfectly, ready to sip and enjoy at the perfect temp. On my second, I ordered at the cafe counter then walked over to the coffee house to pick up my order. The young man at the counter had a beautiful aura, very friendly and engaging - I was grateful the online ordering was not accepting orders, otherwise I would had missed out on this experience. My order this round was the Caramelized Banana Latte ($6.50) 16oz ($0.50) with Ghost Town Oat Milk ($0.25), Mexico Pluma Oaxaca espresso ($0.50), Extra single shot ($1.25) with the default double shot in a disposable cup ($0.25). The profile is house made banana spice syrup. It reminds me of a banana foster, delicate with a pronounced balanced flavor. The drink is creamy, with a Caramelized banana flavor lingering on the tongue - so satisfying. The banana is far from overpowering, complimenting the caramel notes. I purchased a couple bags of beans, hoping to relive the essence of Sausalito Equator coffee at home.

I thought caramelized banana latte sounded interesting. So I selected that on the app, noticed it charged for a disposable cup and charges more for the 16oz size. But we got there before the time she had to select and it was already on the counter ready for pickup along with other mobile orders. As I drank it in the car, it tasted like a normal latte. It was only towards the end, did I subtly taste a caramelized banana flavor. Not sure if I would come back.
