If I was a local, Sausalito Equator would be my designated caffeine spot. The service here is amazing - friendly, approachable, having conversations as if we were familiar. The vibe is chill, no false pretense airs - down to earth, welcoming you in to stay for a while. The coffee is spectacular with selections of flavor options true to their description including The Habibi Latte ($6.25) the Caramelized Banana Latte ($6.50) and the Strawberry Salted Honey Latte ($6.75). On my first visit, I ordered online for store pickup, The Habibi Latte ($6.25) 16 oz ($0.50) with Ghost Town Oat Milk ($0.25), Tigerwalk espresso ($0), double shot (default) in a disposable cup ($0.25). This latte has flavors of orange blossom, cardamom, clove and vanilla syrup. The Habibi Latte was velvety with the flavors of spice and a hint of orange lingering on the tongue. The milk was steamed perfectly, ready to sip and enjoy at the perfect temp. On my second, I ordered at the cafe counter then walked over to the coffee house to pick up my order. The young man at the counter had a beautiful aura, very friendly and engaging - I was grateful the online ordering was not accepting orders, otherwise I would had missed out on this experience. My order this round was the Caramelized Banana Latte ($6.50) 16oz ($0.50) with Ghost Town Oat Milk ($0.25), Mexico Pluma Oaxaca espresso ($0.50), Extra single shot ($1.25) with the default double shot in a disposable cup ($0.25). The profile is house made banana spice syrup. It reminds me of a banana foster, delicate with a pronounced balanced flavor. My friend had mentioned this cafe before so I decided to try it. My friend had me look on the app for menu on her phone. My first time trying this cafe. I thought caramelized banana latte sounded interesting. So I selected that on the app, noticed it charged for a disposable cup and charges more for the 16oz size. My friend's order and mine were ready for pickup up. My friend told me the pickup times were in increments of 15minutes. But we got there before the time she had to select and it was already on the counter ready for pickup along with other mobile orders. As I drank it in the car, it tasted like a normal latte. always loved going to Equator in Mill Valley. I've been a loyal customer since it first opened. That's why I was so disappointed when I recently visited the Sausalito location with my family. The waffles we ordered had less almond butter, too much sweet syrup, and noticeably fewer fruits. It felt like we were getting more waffle, just bread, and much less of the healthy toppings. When we carpool to work, my coworker and I always stop for caffeine. Equator is on our rotation, and I'm surprised I haven't been to this location, considering how close it is to where I work! This equator is bigger than the others I've been to. There's plenty of seating inside, plus two separate areas for drinks and other items, like hot food. We ordered ahead, and service was efficient. All the workers seemed nice. I got the Iced Chocolate Mint Matcha Cream with Oat Milk. The mint and chocolate were definitely there, with a subtle matcha note. The drink was creamy, sweet, and good! My coworker enjoyed his drink as well. I'm always intrigued by their seasonal drinks, and they're typically pretty good! Sausalito has lots of cute coffee shops. Equator is a Bay Area classic. This is my usual stop for coffee and breakfast whenever I'm heading to wine country from San Francisco. I love this place, it's super cozy, and the baristas and staff are always really friendly. I usually get an almond milk latte with an extra shot, and it always hits the needs. Last time I was there, I had the summer hash, which was amazing btw -two poached eggs over summer squash, green beans, cherry tomatoes, white corn, red onion, potatoes, and fresh herbs- Super fresh and a great way to start the day. I've also had the avocado toast and tried a few of their pastries on previous visits, everything has been delicious so far. SEASONAL BLACK SESAME MAPLE SYRUP LATTE (4/5) - Didn't taste like black sesame at all, but otherwise still a nice latte and thankfully wasn't too sweet with the syrup. DECAF AMERICANO (4/5) - Fine, a little watered down. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating at this location which is nice. If you're dining in, you'll get a number for the table and someone will be by with your food. Otherwise, you'll be waiting for them to call your name for any coffee or online orders. This is a busy place so expect lots of people, a line to order, maybe some difficulty with finding a seat, and a wait for either food or coffee. Took the ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito. We were hungry so we were looking for something near the ferry and found the Equator. There is a side for coffee and a side to order food. There is also inside and outside seating Not much sun during our time in San Francisco so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The server greeted us warmly and took our orders. I ordered a Farmer's Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, smashed avocado, potatoes, wheat toast and coffee. My Sister in Law had a turkey panini sandwich with soup. i think this is a chain cafe but i liked it. this one in sausalito has tons of indoor and outdoor seating options. the views are amazing. great place to grab a bite to eat and a drink to sip and enjoy nice weather. the service was quick as well. the price was pretty good comparative to other coffee shops/cafes-- that are also chains. they have a big menu so i'm sure you could find something to eat or drink. i got the bridgeway berry smoothie which definitely could've used a little bit more sweetener. i also got the burrito bowl which was good-- just no seasoning at all to it and normal white rice. to be fair, it is more so of a coffee shop though. overall, i would definitely come here again and hangout on a sunny day. read more

I am not a coffee drinker, but love to try chai teas from various coffee shops while I work. Unfortunately, I have never been a fan of the chai tea here and have given it multiple tries. The tea is heavy on the milk with little flavor, and the flavor that is there tastes too bitter for me. However, I do enjoy the breakfasts that I have ordered here. The breakfast burrito I ordered last week was unbelievably delicious. I have always received good service while here and greeted with a smile. They have ample seating indoor (tables and booths) and outdoor which is usually packed with people in the mornings. We stayed in Mill Valley for a couple of days and, for those who know me, coffee is the only thing on my mind from the time I wake up until I've had at least a 500ml dose. My doctor measures coffee level as a baseline indicator in my yearly blood panel. Well, I had my 500ml at the Equator Cafe and it was great, not good, GREAT coffee. If I didn't already have a coffee subscription delivered to my house, I would order Equator Coffee so take a bag home with you. The croissant I had tasted like it was made in Paris. The BLT was a a beautiful blast of bacon. Everything is fresh and prepared in an open kitchen environment. They have lots of Vegan options as well. Everything is clean and well run. If you're doing the classic SF to Sausalito bike ride this is the classic stop. With numerous bike racks and quick food service it's the best lunch location. They have numerous healthy options and a variety of food to choose from. They have indoor & outdoor seating available plus lots of umbrellas for shade. My cyclist friends & I have been here numerous times and always enjoy our quick stop before jumping back on to ride. Be sure to refill your water bottles.
