    Play area for children

FANTASTIC place! This little gem of a place is not just for moms and children (because of the play area) it's a very nice and sophisticated little beautiful coffee shop. We stopped in for coffee and I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and kind the staff were. They made little jokes and had me in a great mood! They helped me when I needed help deciding and they made a delicious latte for me! 10/10 I will Be back. Thank you fox and Kit ! And thank you to your staff for being so great also!

I came here with my friend for the first time after hearing really good things about it from my boyfriend. The place itself is super fun, vibrant, and honestly such a cute spot--especially with the playground inside! I love that they offer yummy yogurt options and great non-caffeinated drinks, which is perfect if you're trying to avoid caffeine. However... whoever is in charge of washing dishes needs to step it up. The spoon I was given for my yogurt had stuff on it, and the cup I got--even with a lid--had visible gunk on it (as seen in the photo). I get grossed out pretty easily when it comes to shared utensils, and you really expect a restaurant's dishes to be cleaned to the highest standard because of germs and general hygiene. The interior and vibe are great, but the dishwashing situation is honestly a big deal and took away from the experience. If they can tighten that up, this place would be an easy favorite.

This concept I believe is popular in Japan so I was excited to see this spring up. Parking: street parking , and there's a public garage across the street. Normally 75 cents per hour and free on Sunday's. Coffee: got an iced latte and it was very strong, just like how I like it. It wasn't dilated by the ice or milk at all and I liked how it's served with a reusable metal straw. If you go into the play area you can get your drinks in reusable metal tumblers. Atmosphere: Beautifully designed space , extremely baby friendly. There's an enclosed section in the back where you can put your little ones down without them escaping. Bathrooms all have changing tables and a little toilet seat they can accommodate kids. Play area: $13 for kids 9 months-2 years, I think there's no time limit. It's a really well thought out design, much larger than I thought! There's costumes for kids to wear, books to read, a family friendly restroom in the back, and a two story wooden play structure. There's a hill that you can crawl under reminding me a hobbit hole and you can slide on the top. Overall I need something similar in San Mateo county because I loved this and need something similar closer to me. Please open one here!!

Wow...I'm amazed at how things have changed since the last time I visited. I'm shocked at the price they charged for a stamp for the kid to play in the playground, $16/kid! I thought they get a stamp if we bought something but I was so wrong! I don't know if it's age related but I had 2 kids with me so it really hurt to pay such a price for a tiny and basic play area. We came at around 10 and it was way too crowded this time than last. Full of kids running around and people working/studying at tables. I came here mostly to let my kid play while we have a coffee. The coffee and pastries were still good but I guess I can go anywhere else. I probably won't come back.

Really good coffee! Plus, I loved the vibes. The swings and decor were thoughtful. Kids playground was a plus! Service was friendly

My boyfriend and I were debating where to get coffee (we're usually Endless Quest people), but since I've been yelping more, I've been trying to branch out. This spot popped up pretty high, and funnily enough, my boyfriend--who doesn't live locally--had actually heard of it from a previous visit, so we decided to go for it. Right off the bat: huge win on logistics. There's a nearby parking garage with ample space, and parking is free on Sundays and holidays, which already put us in a good mood. The place was packed when we went (Sunday), but in the best way. It's honestly adorable--there's a small playground, multiple seating areas, and everything feels very thoughtfully put together. I don't usually gush over ambiance, but the furniture, layout, and overall warmth of the space really stood out. Cozy without being cramped, lively without being chaotic. There were three people working, one of them quite young, and while we didn't order food, I did get a matcha--and wow. It took a while to come out, but when I saw how they were preparing it, it all made sense. Unlike most high-volume spots that rush matcha, they actually take their time with the full process. The result? Easily top 10 matchas I've ever had. Fresh, clean, energizing in a way that felt genuinely good for my body--not jittery, just right. They do have pastries and a couple of food options, though the savory options didn't really tempt me personally. That said, I'd 100% come back just for the drinks and the space alone. There's just enough white noise to sit and work comfortably, and the ambiance makes you want to stay awhile. This is officially going into my coffee + work rotation.

Coffee was amazing, ambiance was so cute and trendy, and service was great. If you're looking for an extremely quiet place to work I would not recommend as there is a playground attached. I jut stopped in to answer a few emails and hop on a quick call so it was perfect for me. Overall great place to stop for solid coffee and good vibes.

Downtown San Rafael has a healthy dose of coffee haus'. But some stand out more than others for various reasons. Fox & Kit stands out to me for its outstanding coffee and design concept. Besides the beautiful, modern, calming Scandinavian-ish decor, they even have a glass window play area for the kiddos. You can keep an eye on your angels while enjoying some coffee, food, and company. Or join them in the room. The coffee is fantastic. I found out later they serve Temple coffee. That is one of my favorite all time coffee roasters. Darn good quality coffee. Plus they serve Strauss milk. Great local California partnerships. Parking is street metered. But don't fret if parallel parking is not your thing, there is a pay to park city lot across the street ($1 per hour). Street parking is free in Sundays. The lot across the street is free in the weekend.

What I ordered -Iced Vanilla Latte [4/5] _ I recently stopped by Fox & Kit while I was in the area and grabbed a vanilla latte--it was absolutely delicious! The café's ambiance is stunning, with a unique touch--a playground in the back for children, which I thought was really cool. The service was excellent, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. I highly recommend checking it out!

Cute coffee shop with a playground inside! Love the store concept with the open, airy vibes, ample seating, and a playground inside for both kids and adults. The staff are so friendly, and the drinks were pretty good too! I got the matcha latte and I thought it had a smooth texture and good flavor; it's not the best or most rich matcha drink I've had, but it's good. I also ordered the kouign amann pastry and it had the perfect flaky and soft texture. Love this place and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the San Rafael area!

I had heard about this coffee shop and I had it saved in my bookmarks for forever, but thankfully, we finally found a time to go! We came here with my mother-in-law , and our 5 year old son and our baby. The front of the coffee shop is very stylish and has great ambiance! There's even a play pit for crawling babies. I wanted to put our little crawler in there, but it wasn't very clean. There were a lot of little bits of this and that in there, and our daughter puts everything in her mouth, so I didn't feel good about putting her in there which is a shame. It really needed a good vacuum and a wipe-down. It would have been awesome! I could have relaxed with my coffee and sat on the bench that circles the baby play area, but no, I had to hold my wiggly baby the entire time. I loved the swinging chairs too, and my baby loved the long bench by the window where we sat. When we entered, I wanted to get my son checked in for the indoor playground they have in the back, but no one was available to check him in. Since we were new there, I didn't know how it worked. They closed at noon (for a private party), and it was already 10:30 am, so I wanted to make sure he had ample time to play. Your play session is for up to 2 hours. Anyway, he could have easily slid in there without paying since no one greeted us when we entered the shop. We didn't do that of course. I just looked around for someone to help. Finally, someone emerged from the back so I could ask for help. You pay for the play session at the coffee shop counter. So I had to wait in line to pay for his session. Don't be like us. Come earlier so you have time to wait to be checked in and don't lose play time. The play session is $16 which I think is steep since it's not that big. I mean, it's big enough, but my kiddo was ready to go after an hour for sure. It's pretty cool looking! I think it's probably best for a kiddo 3.5 years old where they are big enough to climb up the sloped grassy hill, but not so big that they're going to get bored quickly. My kiddo had fun, but I think it would be better priced at like $12. My kiddo wanted me to explore with him and I was surprised at the hidden dioramas at the top. Plus inside the hill is a dimly lit chill play area. It was a vibe. There's also some cool nooks along the wall with a book shelf! There was a dress up costume area too which was cool, but I really wish they didn't have hats/headwear in there! That's just a breeding ground for lice and I have to remind my son not to ever try on public hats! :) They should just not have headwear and it would be so much better. We also had some drinks. I had an Oat Milk Latte since I have to be dairy free right now. It was good, but not particularly remarkable. My mother-in-law had a hot chocolate, and my husband had this really fabulous drink called an Einsplanner! It sounded amazing and looked amazing, but alas I couldn't try it this time. Anyway, I LOVE the concept of this coffee shop and I wish something like this was closer to us! This is about an 45 min away from us. We went here before taking my mother-in-law to the airport (I mean, it wasn't on the way to the airport, but at least it was west). This is such a good concept and so needed! I would love a place to enjoy a beverage while kiddos can play. They should offer beer and wine for happy for sessions! The play area was also entirely behind glass, so the coffee shop area was quiet! That was a real treat! This place is so well done! I loved it.

It is such an absolutely adorable coffee shop with lots of natural light and two hammock chairs. Staff was friendly. I ordered americano with oat milk. They serve coffee from Sacramento called "Temple Coffee Rosters," and it was delicious. They also have some pastries that I didn't try. I will most definitely be back. CC accepted You can also earn points for free coffee in the future. And yes, they have a closed, fairly good pay playground for the kiddos.

They had 3 people on staff for our party. I brought balloons, snacks, drinks, cupcakes and colorful tablecloths. I wheeled in my items from the car, dropped them off at the front with the team, and they literally did the rest. Super turn-key. The first portion is play time and then you move to the party room for snacks and cake. You can also have some snacks laid out in the front part of the play area. The party room is in the back and I had meant to go in and give them some basic set-up directions prior to us going in, but totally forgot. I ran into the room while folks were already filing in as I hadn't even viewed the room, yet, and it looked amazing! They had laid out all the snacks and drinks; they supplied plates, napkins, basic party tablecloths and a royal birthday chair and birthday banner. I didn't even have cake stands so brought a few plates from home to display the cupcakes, but they had some cute cake stands and took it upon themselves to beautifully display them! Far better than what I would have done! They even took it upon themselves to move the balloons from spot to spot as the party migrated - whatever looked the best! Then they helped pack up the leftovers and clean everything. Easy peasy. They do include 18% gratuity, but with the amount of mental load they took off my plate, it was 100% worth it. And of course, the kids loved it! The only thing I wish they had was a bit longer play time option. The kids LOVED playing and wanted more! The venue and level of service is truly exceptional! The team at Peek-a-Boo in San Francisco are true pros, with a level of customer service that totally surpassed my expectations. Thank you, Peek-a-boo Factory Team!

Located in the local & city combo vibed Geary neighborhood in San Francisco, Peek-a-Boo packs a lot into a well organized kids space. Although it has limited seating, the entry way contains some retro distraction as you wait to be let into the main play area where your party time begins - those coin operated machines from the 80's that you win a prize from when you turn the slot with 2-4 quarters. My nephew & I played two. Then as his friends and their parents started arriving, it was the official time for his party start time and so our family could walk through the locked gate into the kids world of swings, slides, climbing walls, and colorful tunnels and passageways. For an estimated 90 minutes, about 20 kids ran through the time of their lives as their parents and Auntie looked on in awe haha! A face painter was also setup on one side of that main room who painted next level and intricate animal, tribal, and celestial themed designs on some of the kids' faces while the others played. When the clock ticked to a certain time, the staff made an announcement to head towards the back party room for pizza, cupcakes, and presents. (My brother chose the food options and arranged for them to be delivered ahead of time.) The staff had setup the room perfectly, with a happy birthday banner over the cupcakes on the middle table, then little tables setup on both sides of that table with snacks, drinks, pizza, goodie bags, and long tables setup in the middle for the kiddos to sit at comfortably as they entered the room. Then the staff served them pizza. It was a sweet time - filled with laughter, smiles, birthday song, and full bellies. What a wonderful Sunday afternoon of childhood bliss!

Appreciate their positive energy. I'd like to note that their policy allows for entrance 10m before party time, but not after? Strange. I had a 2-hour party and I believe it should have been strongly discouraged for a party of my size. I didn't anticipate how rushed it would feel, nor that overage time would be charged by the minute at the end. While I understand their policy and did read about it beforehand, I would have appreciated a clearer recommendation during our initial communications. Given the size of my party (and I had extra people I didn't expect to show up come), more time was realistically needed for setup and breakdown, and a heads-up from peek a boo team would have been helpful, as they are the professionals.

It costs $18 per child for a full day with ins and outs (only weekdays) which is great if you have freedom during the week. It''s $14 per child under 1 years old which is pricey in my opinion however they are free if they are accompanied by a paid sibling. Really no reason to bring a kid under one here unless you're trying to entertain an older sibling. They say there's only 1 adult per child playing but me and my husband have come with just one kid before. Need to have peek-a-boo factory socks which are $3. Here's what they list on their website along with my comments: Junior Play Area (3 - 12 yrs old)- I'd say 12 is a little on the older side for what they have. Ideally 3-8 although I'm sure 8+ kids will have fun. Just hard when there are mostly younger kids around. Toddler/Baby Play Area (0 - 3 yrs old): here there are a couple of slides which kids like, a wood train set that doesn't have correct pieces to piece together (but not many kids will notice), a magnetic wall with gears that adults have to fix for the kids since they are usually pulled apart, very little food for the play kitchen which looks a little dirty, some velcro shapes that don't stick very well to the wall, and the glow up pegs you can stick into the board. It's hard to tell that they light up since the area is well lit in general. There are some duplos with a small lego table and some large cushion lego pieces you can help the kids play with if you are hands on. There's also a music section but sometimes the wall pieces are broken, as well as a large mat piano. Overall, not the best area for 0-3 year olds but it will keep them busy while their older siblings play. Rock Wall- I've never seen anyone on this and wonder if it's just for parties. It's a fairly narrow climb so straightforward. Interactive Games- they are setting up more and more of these money makers and making them flashy and loud to get kids attention. I don't really enjoy these but they include a whack-a-mole, a mini air hockey table, a motorcycle ride that they've had forever with tom from tom and jerry, a stomping game, and a couple of aiming type games. It's overpriced and I'd rather see other options that don't dig into pockets. Huge Party Room- I haven't had a party here so can't say much. Snack Bar- nice to have an option for rushed parents but everything is marked well up. Includes apple sauce pouches, honest juice, and bunch of other packaged snacks from $1+ Parents Seating Area- ample seating on cushions or chairs with small circular tables. Water Fountains- near bathrooms which are large and tidy single rooms. Free WiFi- works fine. Free Indoor Parking Lot- one of the hugest perks of this place. Overall, we like this place and come monthly for its convenience. I think it would be better if they revamped the toddler section and considered something other than the dollar arcade machines. They also have a section of treats/coin machines near the bathrooms, but I would rather see an interactive wall or something educational/interesting.

I threw my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough…read more From the moment I booked, I didn't have to think about a single thing. The only tasks on my plate were ordering the catering and the cake, and when those arrived, the Imagination Playhouse party team took it from there. We had a private party from 10am-1pm, and three hours was the perfect window. Play time, transition to lunch, cake cutting, it all flowed. We were never rushed or made to feel like we needed to clear out. Isa and Jeff from the team were attentive and available the entire time. They handled the announcements as we moved from the play area to the party room, checked in with me regularly without hovering, and even helped hand out the party favors at the end. I didn't have to worry about clean up either. The space itself is massive. And for my kiddo who's not into heights or fast stuff, it was a great fit. There's lots of tunnels, kitchen/toy/reading play areas, and ball pits to crawl through, so she was in her element the whole time. If you're planning a birthday party for little ones, just book it. You will not regret it. I'll def be booking again for future birthdays. Thanks Imagination Playhouse!!

They did an amazing job setting up for our chosen theme and helping to manage the flow of decor, food, people and presents throughout the party. The space is setup wonderfully to support all ages and keep the kids contained and alleviate the pressure on parents. It is helpful to have the flexibility to set our own schedule within the party time on when we eat, do cake, etc. The team did a great job helping us out and checking in and making it a great day!

The staff was incredibly nice, organized, and helpful, which made the whole party feel stress-free. The facility was very clean and there was so much variety for the kids to do -- climbing wall, arcade games, obstacle course, giant jumping pad, and plenty of space to run around and play. Every kid had an amazing time, and multiple parents told me afterward that they would love to have their own child's birthday party there. Highly recommend for a fun and easy birthday party!

Off the bat, I want to say this is one of the more affordable indoor playgrounds I've been to (some I've gone to will charge for adults?!) and there was no time limit (some places give you a time limit of how long you can play for) so that was a plus. They do require you to purchase their socks (can't be grippy socks from anywhere else) but even with the socks and day pass, I want to say it was only $35? The kids loved running around the swing ropes, the indoor playground with slide, and the big bouncy thingy under the bouldering wall. My only concern about the bouncy thingy by the bouldering wall is there aren't any safety rails or things around it and I can't tell if it's safer with or without it but I definitely needed to stay close by in case he bounced off the entire cushion thingy. If you have highly sensitive little ones or neurodivergent kiddos, this place may be a tad overstimulating with the arcade right smack dab in the middle. Like other reviewers had mentioned, it would be nice if the arcade was slightly away from the physical play so that kids aren't distracted/overstimulated by the arcade screens. We did eventually end our outing at the arcades (spent another $40 on the game card...sigh) but luckily we won a big jackpot from one of the games to make it all worth it! Of note, you can't really wear your shoes in the bathroom which is kinda gross so bear that in mind. All in all, definitely one of the better indoor playgrounds in the Bay Area!

Please don't come for my Millennial self ) The building is tucked behind the entrance of Hong Kong BBQ on Redwood Road, near where Southern Comfort is on Castro Valley Blvd. From the outside, it looks pretty run-down and sketchy. There's also no elevator, so you'll need to carry your little one up a flight of stairs. Keep this in mind if you're planning a party, especially if anyone in your group has ADA concerns. Entrance is $16 per child for a maximum of 2 hours, and honestly, two hours is more than enough. The space itself is small but perfect for little kids. It feels like they're exploring their own tiny town with all the pretend-play stations: an ice cream truck, spaceship, chef's kitchen, grocery store, laundromat, pet store/groomer, and pizza parlor. They do have a small reading area, but there are little to no books. The play area is padded, which is great for crawling children. I wasn't totally sure how often things are sanitized. There's a basket for toys that need extra cleaning, which made me wonder how frequently everything is actually wiped down if we're asked to set items aside ourselves. Party space is limited to the entrance/hardwood area. I was told the max is 20 adults and about 15 children, but I honestly can't imagine everyone fitting comfortably in that small space. Overall, it's a great spot for my kid to run around and get her wiggles out. She really enjoyed it and that's what matters most.
