At first, I didn't think much of it, but it quickly became clear why he asked us to give him a few.. This location only had two employees working on a very busy night. The young woman was handling the drive-thru window, while the young man was taking drive-thru orders, helping customers at the walk-up window, and keeping everything moving. They were doing the work of an entire team, all while staying friendly and professional. Yes, there was a bit of a wait for our eight drinks, but once we saw the situation, we completely understood and didn't mind at all. Despite being short-staffed, our drinks were made perfectly and tasted great. Before we left, we wished the young man good luck because they were truly working hard. I've never seen a Dutch Bros in CA operating with only two employees during such a busy time. We explained that we normally start our mornings with a vegetable-forward smoothie and were hoping she could help us hit reset. She absolutely delivered. She made us an incredible green smoothie packed with spinach, kale, beets, and a whole list of other fresh ingredients. She even added a scoop of vanilla protein to round it out perfectly. While it was clear most of her regulars gravitate toward fruit-forward smoothies, she was more than happy to create a completely custom blend just for us, even though it wasn't on the menu.
