Good food. Nice people. Convenient location. In between the Chase and Truist banks off Hwy 41. There is not a huge parking area for these shops but it seems to be adequate. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly. Everything that I have eaten here has been pretty good. I like their Firehouse Meatball sub. The Italian is good. I really need to try more of their menu. I always get my sandwiches to go. I have never had any problems here. read more

Sat around for 30+ minutes, order not being filled ands being ignored, got horrible service, they just weren't making my order despite me talking to them. When I finally got it I stormed out and apparently, some small part on their puny door broke, they then called the cops and claimed I broke the glass, so I had a clown cop call me, threaten me basically, then call me back and say she was wrong. Pretty sure it was because I was black, in my opinion. I talked to a lawyer and almost pulled the trigger on a lawsuit but decided they weren't worth my time. read more

We have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food. The last couple of take out orders have been wrong. Ordered a turkey sub and received a plain ham sub. No extras, which was also on my order. $10 down the drain. Had to throw the sub in the trash. Have contacted the company and been promised twice that the owner of the store would get back to me to make it right. So far, I haven't heard a word. Disappointing. Won't be going back. Hello I am sitting here and there was the nicest young man who kindly took my order with speed and effectiveness but I couldn't help but notice a coworker "who isn't in uniform or on the clock" behind the service area bullying the young cashier. The cashier is going back and forth doing his duties only to keep getting harassed by the his coworker who clearly has nothing better to do on his day off.. the cashier is a blonde male with glasses and the bully is making his own food and harassing the cashier as he is simply doing his job. This is a good place. Let's start with the not-so-good and move to the good. Not-so-good: it's a small venue, so it gets crowded fast. The decorations are nice, but because it's small, much of the "storage" is in corners, especially in the back. Boxes are stacked behind the back tables and top of the refrigerators, which are behind the cash register. Second not-so-good: the Coke Freestyle machine. I love Coke Freestyle, but it makes for a slow drink dispenser, as only one is available, and you're waiting for people to make their choices (and then people are waiting on you to make yours), and then there's the sanitation question of putting your finger where everyone else's finger has been and then eating finger food. Minor request: I wish they'd put out sauces (mustard, barbecue sauce, ranch) for customer access. They have lots of hot sauce out, but it'd be nice to pour your own condiments without having to ask for them. Now, to the good: lots. The food at this place is high quality. Very delicious. Yes, it is more expensive than a Subway or similar place, but it's good food, and they give a lot to the community, both corporately and at this individual location. More good: the staff. As with almost any organization, there's occasionally the sullen, not-excited-to-be-here person, but most of the staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. Stephanie, the owner-manager, is terrific, as are Dayshawn and Caitlyn. They don't have their own Wifi, but there's a Moe's next door whose wifi comes through very clear. The place is mostly clean. As I indicated earlier, it gets busy, and when it does, the staff doesn't have time to wipe down tables, especially when people are hovering over you to finish so they can take your seat. The Firehouse Rewards program is also good. It's not the best rewards program ever, but it's better than nothing, and worth getting via their app. All things being equal, if you don't mind paying a bit extra, check this place out, especially if it's an off-hour. read more

We will not be eating here again. The food quality is not good. First, they had no regular bread for our subs. I was told they only had wheat and gluten free because the regular bread was thawing. I ordered the steak and cheese and it had very little steak and was cold in the middle. My daughter had the bbq brisket and it was not good either. read more

2023 June- lunch twice in the last 2 weeks. Staff has always been smiling polite & helpful. The sandwiches and brownies are quite good. Each time I've been in the place has been busy but not 'too' busy. That being said, Firehouse is ok - somewhere between a 2 and a 3 star rating, rounded up to 3 because of the nice people; they accidentally made me a second sandwich because one of the employees didn't realize mine had already come out. They didn't give me the second sandwich, though - not sure what happened to it . . . As for the sandwich I did eat, I have to say it was just - ok - and for a combo (chips and drink with the sammy) at almost $9, I wished I'd been at Panera. I got the club - hot, white bread, turkey, ham, bacon, tomato, and to my dismay onion and shredded lettuce (lots of shredded lettuce, which is something I oddly hate. . . ). They use Boars Head meats, one of my most favorite brands, and the bread was fresh. The tomato was green in the middle and the cheese was a little skimpy. Not a bad sandwich, just not a great one. The portion (on the "medium" I ordered) was generous, so if you're one to finish your sandwich, you'd probably feel like you got a better value out of the meal than I did. This location does have one of those cool space-age Coke machines, if you're into nine hundred options for soft drinks! read more

I had a bad experience here my first visit but the owner of the franchise reached out to me and assured that it was an out of the ordinary experience, so I came in to give firehouse another chance, and she was right! My sandwiches came out quickly and perfectly. I'd recommend anyone who's had a bad experience to come back and give them another try. It's impressive when an owner of a franchise reaches out to you to rectify a problem and says a lot about her care for her business. On 9/22/2019 my wife went to this restaurant to get us lunch on a Sunday. We have been there many times, and always enjoyed the food. My wife got it to go and since we live very close, as in less than a mile I expected that the sandwiches would be warm at least. My sandwich which was corned beef and pastrami and there was like two pieces of meat with a piece of cheese. My wife got a philly steak and she got a little more meat but there was no seasoning. Both sandwiches were wrapped in cold stale bread. I have no problem paying a substantially higher priced for a decent sandwich, however not again at this location. We never put anything on social media but the franchise owner know that perhaps when he or she is not there, this place turns into a "Subway" where you expect to get a less than a quality sandwich. Had a horrible experience here redeeming my birthday sub. Rude staff especially the cashier, Anastasia. There are too many other sandwich shops in the area to return. The sandwich was small and an item was left out of the of bag. The staff needs to learn how to speak to customers. I asked to speak to a manager but the cashier never got a manager. We visit this location a lot- food has always been great. But what inspired me to finally give a review was the outstanding customer service we received when we went last night. Tyler took my order, which was a bit complicated as my daughter and I split a sandwich and wanted different veggies on each half. Some places, people have seemed frustrated with us for this, but not here. Tyler was incredibly friendly and assured me it was no hassle. The rating will change when management makes contact with me to fix the issue. This location has been a regular for me and my wife because of the quality of the food....that is the good part. Today was not good at all and I am very disappointed as our order ( to go order ) was picked up at noon which should ensure that everything was fresh and like every order we've had for the last few years. I like to give any business the chance to redeem themselves because mistakes happen....but this was a meal where quality just wan't available. The sandwich is one I get all the time....hook and ladder and it's in our app where we order from. This sandwich had the ham that was half meat and half I don't know what else....fat...skin.....who knows! The roast beef was fine and the turkey breast was not like I've had before....older meat perhaps that was not as fresh as Im used to. Now the bread....it was tough and taste like 1 or 2 day old....I know the difference and it wasn't fresh.....the pickle is usually a treat but this one could have been used in place of a flat tire....the skin was tough while the inside was older and I usually compare your pickles to a Clauson.....no mistaking what I was given as it was older and tougher. I couldn't even eat the meal as it so disappointed me and just threw it away....buh bye $10! I would still like to support this store but I don't feel warm and fuzzy now....if you want to reach out to me then that would be great and I can revise my review. read more

Just got the large Philly cheesesteak sub and it is delicious! It was huge and I split it with my hubby and still only ate about half of mine. Definitely a fan of the Firehouse when you eat in, not so much if you get the sandwiches to go (heated sandwiches don't travel well). I haven't had a bad sandwich here, and I enjoy the array of hot sauces on the counter. Employees are friendly, service is prompt. Worst Firehouse I've been to and happens to be the one closest for me. I always order light mayo and they pile it on even though it says "light". I gave them another chance and asked for VERY light mayo and also stressed that my last sub was not at all what I asked for. His response - to write "picky" all over my order ticket. Was in the area and had a craving for FS, since the two over in Kennesaw have closed down. It was a Sunday around 1 p.m. and was super busy. I ordered (and paid extra) for mushrooms on my steak sandwich, and got none. And there were maybe one or two pieces of onion and green pepper. I did order a small sandwich, but for $5.19, this was ridiculous. It wouldn't have filled up a small child. The manager took back my sandwich to remake it, and it came back a little bit better. The freestyle coke machine was out of all lemonade flavors, which meant I couldn't get my usual ice tea mixed with lemonade (Arnold Palmer). I would've ordered water if I had known, as I do not drink anything else. It was just as well, as the line to the one freestyle machine (which takes forever because they're slow to use) never got below about four people deep. And then the counter with the drink lids and straws would only "fit" one person at a time. Wanted a fork so my kid could cut up and eat the meatballs on her sub, but none to be had. If you want a frustrating dining experience, this is the place. Oh, and the $4 cup of mac and cheese... they put crushed salad croutons on top which is a huge turnoff for little kids. :( read more

This place is repulsive. After ordering a sub to go, I got home to happily munch on my sub and I found what appears to be a leg of some sort of insect. The meat smelled of wet dog and the bread was so soggy I'm glad I found the insect leg before I even brought myself to eating what these people attempt to call a sandwich. I called the store to discuss what happened with my sub and Mark Jones, the owner of this particular Firehouse, was rude and nowhere close to understanding where I was coming from, although I was completely calm and willing to hear him out. Just walked out of this location & I am seriously APPALLED! I walked in & had to catch my breath from how hot it was inside. I was informed by the employees the AC was out & had been since yesterday. Stunned, I asked why they were still open. To which one of the employees replied 'They said we could close once it hit 102 degrees inside, it's only 92.' Whoever runs this store, fairly certain they're all franchise, is lucky he even still has a staff. If I was one of their parents I would have told them to walk out. I work in the food industry & my company would never stay open under these conditions. Luckily the Cartersville location is only .2 miles farther from my house so I never had to return here. I hope the few bucks you made staying open today & treating your staff like garbage is worth the few hundred or so I spend in your restaurant a year because I'm never coming back. Firehouse is good as far as the sandwiches go. I'll admit it, I am extremely picky when it comes to what kind of sandwich I'm having, so I often make quite a few changes to the typical order when I figure out what I want. The issue that I had was when I overheard a staff member make a rude remark to another member about how I had made a special order. I think he thought he couldn't be heard, but if you've ever been inside a Firehouse, it isn't hard to overhear anyone in there. I ignored it, because I can understand how it would be annoying for someone to make a special order, however the comment was still unnecessary. When I received my sandwich, they had made it wrong, so I asked for a new one. Normally I can ignore little mess ups (like I can remove onions by myself, no need to go back and bother the staff about something so little) but since it's a little more on the expensive side, I wanted my sandwich like what I payed for, and it was nothing like what I ordered. They remade it, and again, it was wrong. Third times a charm though, and I got the correct sandwich. It tasted delicious, so I would go back again, however it probably won't be very soon. read more
