Not having been to Capriotti's for a couple of years, I thought I would take my husband to check it out. We arrived at around 2 pm and there were 2 people eating their sandwiches. The service was very good. Very polite and attentive. As an aside, I have to say that wanting a tip for just making sandwiches, is annoying. Anyway, I wound up tipping 10%,which was about $3.50. It's crazy how the prices jumped! $7.99 for a mini, which is 4 inches long. I got an Italian sub and got the small size for $10.99! And that's without even a pickle to keep it company! My husband ordered a tuna sub, a medium for $11.99! And an order of fries for $3.99. The fries were delicious, crispy and hot, right out of the fryer. The meat on my sub was indistinguishable. It tasted alright but not like a real Italian submarine. I have to add that the table was dirty and we had to clean it before sitting down. Greeted by friendly cashier and they took the effort to bring my order to the table instead of just calling by name. The place was hopping with both dine-in and take-out orders, but there was an employee hustling to clean the tables on this Friday about 1PM. I managed to find a clean table and filled my cup while waiting (they have a Pepsi fountain machine). To sample a couple of different sandwiches I got a small Chicken Chipotle Crunch and small Grilled Italian with a side of fries. I should have gone with mini as small is quite generous and filling (see pictures). I liked the fried onions in the Chicken Chipoltle Crunch and most of the favor came from the sauce. The tomatoes on both sandwiches were a bit too pale and tasted watery. The Grilled Italian was definitely the more flavorful of the two with great seasoning on the meats. The bread was nice and soft. The side of fries were of the coated variety and were fresh, hot, and crisp with the breading having a great seasoning. All the hard surfaces and glass windows made for quite the echo chamber, and even with half the tables occupied the noise level was quite considerable. I told Justin we would be back So of course we are heading back to Tennessee, where we have NO Capriotti's. Maybe we should open our own. We have to get our CAPs in before we head back! I don't know if I'm the only one who does this but I make sure I have Lea Perrins Worcestershire anytime I have a Philly Cheesesteak and I came prepared. The hubby got his #1 which was a Bobbie warmed. The kid tried the Loaded Fries with Pastrami and Provolone and Russian dressing on the side because she wasn't sure if she would like it. She LOVED it! The Pastrami is so good, so tender! Big enough portion for an 11 year old to have leftovers even. The hubby and I got Bobbie's To-Go for tomorrow's lunch and we the kid got a baked Capastrami To-Go for tomorrow's lunch. Caleb came up front to help out the new kid and was so patient with my order changes and kind. Both were very welcoming and personable. Deja came up to the front for a minute and I said hello. She was so helpful last time we were here. Thanks to the Caps crew for making the best sandwiches, once again! You guys never disappoint. I can honestly say the location here beats any of our Las Vegas locations we used to frequent when we lived there. The dining room is spacious and modern with two televisions for entertainment. Yesterday we stopped into Capriotti's to see what their cheesesteaks were like. I have visited the Capriotti's in Downingtown Pennsylvania, and it was pretty good. This location was really skimpy on the meat. There was more bread than meat. The young lady was pleasant though. As for the ambience, it was OK. There were no clean tables in there, but there were workers standing around. I asked if someone could clean a table and the girl looked at me like she couldn't do it because she was cooking. There were two guys standing in the back, but I guess they were too busy doing nothing. She motioned to me where the spray for the tables was and the cloth. I thought that was rather strange that I am the customer and I'm having to clean off my own table???. In order for us to have a clean table, I had to wipe our table down. So far I have had the Wagyu cheese steak with American Wagyu beef, prepared with mushrooms, onions and white American cheese. I also had the grilled chicken parmesan sandwich and added hot peppers. Both were delicious. All sandwiches are customizable with various fresh cheeses, onions, peppers, and fresh meats. They offer half sub, small, medium, and large. This is a hoagie sandwich franchise with their metro Atlanta location in Kennesaw. They are located in a strip shopping center near KSU and several commercial offices. We were greeted upon entry and told the friendly woman, who was the general manager, that it was our first visit to their restaurant. She was very patient and answered our questions about their menu options. You place your order at a counter and if you are dining in, your meal is delivered to your table. Both hoagies were grilled to order and stuffed with delicious meat; my better half couldn't finish her Wagyu beef French Dip hoagie but she loved it. My cheese steak hoagie contained grilled onions and mushrooms and was awesome. Their prices are not ideal for a budget diner (our two hoagies were $30 plus tax) but the portions are huge and the quality of the meats was excellent. I have no idea how I worked mere miles from this place and even visited the Chipotle next door without ever stopping in and discovering the goodness that is Capriotti's! This particular location of Capriotti's sits next to the aforementioned Chipotle in a small shopping center just off of Chastain Road. Parking is plentiful and location on both sides of the building, but be aware that during lunch rushes this shopping center fills up to the max given all the yummy options. As a sandwich nerd, I am still ashamed of myself that it took me so long to discover this place, and now that I have...I don't know if life will ever be the same...in a good way! It does make me sad that this is the only location in Georgia, however my new office is in Woodstock, so I pass right by this exit a few times a week, so I should be good to go...however, if anyone gets an idea to franchise one closer to the city, I would not be mad at you! As a sandwich nerd and all around chipotle fiend, I was immediately drawn to the Chicken Chipotle Crunch, which is a basically a Chicken Philly with the added "bam" of crispy cheddar onions and chipotle ranch dressing. While all the meats, cheeses and fixin's are important to a sandwich, the bread is the real star and I can happily say that the bread here was soft, chewy yet firm. It was a great vessel for the hot and cold that made up the sandwich. My only feedback about the sandwich was the tomato. Instead of cutting in half for the sandwich, they simply folded the tomato over with the bread. This made it a little difficult to eat and honestly seemed to force the sandwich open as it sat on the table. I don't mind a tomato slice on the sammy, but with the folded over variation, it was too much. Service was decent. The cashier was nice, but not friendly. He made little eye contact and was all business. It was my first visit to the chain so I asked a few questions and honestly I felt like I was bothering him, so I just made my choice and kept it moving. It was not a bad experience per say, but it wasn't a stellar one by far. Overall, Capriotti's asserted themselves into a near top spot on my "sandwich chain" favorites list! Came by today to get my favorite impossible cheese steak. It was way skinnier than any other caporroti impossible cheese steak I have ever had. Which was disappointing as they are usually fat and I can not finish it. This one I ate it all and wanted more. So much for 25% more meat/veg meat. I think maybe the sign should say 25% less. The partner owner said I was wrong it was like they always are. Which is not true as I have eaten at this location numerous times and it's the location I fell in love with this particular sandwich. The shorter other owner is also much nicer and more helpful as I meet him on my first visit ever to this shop. Anyway hope my next visit goes better or it might be my last time. After relocating to another state you can't imagine the disappointment of not being able to visit my go to sandwich place. I later relocated again and am so happy to have Capriotti's back in my life! My top favorites are the cheese steak and the Bobbi. Let's start with the cheese steak ... it's cheesy, greasy deliciousness served on perfectly baked bread. Next up is the Bobbi which is made using daily roasted butterball turkey topped with stuffing and cranberry sauce. It's the sandwich of Thanksgiving dreams. Got this for my SuperBowl Party! So, ok Eagles didn't land it this time, but the Sub did!! !! Added the right amount of nostalgia for us Northies. We were super lucky to stumbled across this capriotti. We haven't been to one in over a decade since Las vegas. I feel like they've extended their needs quite a bit. As soon as we saw capriotti was in this area it was an easy and obvious choice for lunch. They had all the traditional favorites like the Bobbie and the capistrami. It feels like there are some new things on the menu that haven't been there before. I don't remember seeing Philly cheese steaks before or salads and soup but I could be wrong. To mix so excited waiting for my sandwiches that I can hardly wait for that first bite. This is a very busy sandwich shop, unsurprising. And the shop is much bigger than any of the shops in Vegas. I got my usual Bobby and Mike got his usual turkey sandwich. I cannot wait to get into that Bobbie. First go around I tried a regular cheesesteak with hot peppers. Next time, I will try a cold sub. Typical wait as it was cooked fresh. Cashier was very polite and personable. So far I've gotten an Italian, Wagyu Cheesesteak, and Chicken Cheesesteak. You're going to pay a bit more for a sandwich here, a Medium is my typical order and while it's a 10 inch sub, it's not overly loaded. It's a reasonable, sensible portion but it is hardly stuffed to the gills. The quality though is excellent. It's definitely spend more to get more. I think all 3 sandwiches were equally good, but with that in mind I think the Wagyu is likely wasted on a cheesesteak. While very good in its own right, I don't think it was worth the premium. Standard ribeye cheesesteak would probably be just as good here. Overall, this is a very good, quality, sandwich shop that still has speed and efficiency to match other cheaper chains. Just expect to spend about 20 dollars going in, which might be a bit of a high ask for a sandwich. read more

Yuck yuck yuck. After last night's experience, Capriotti's rightly drops to one star. So freakin' bad. I ordered two Wagyu beef Philly cheesesteaks through a delivery service. With taxes, tips, fees, blah blah, it came to FIFTY THREE DOLLARS (UPDATE - checked my receipt and found that it actually cost me FIFTY EIGHT DOLLARS!!) for two sandwiches. But shame on me, I proceeded with the transaction, even when realizing it was a preposterous cost. So when the food should arrive, the driver texts me. Capriotti's didn't even bother to let him or the delivery service know that they were out of Wagyu beef until he got there to pick up our order. How rude of them. I should've canceled the order then and there, but no, silly me, I told him to just get the regular beef Phillies. So these two sandwiches, as expensive as a bottle of fine wine, arrive. Dear God in Heaven, they were way past bad. The meat was old, and I mean OLD - kinda crunchy, completely dried out, probably left over from yesterday. Ugh. But to make matters worse, there was a couple of onion pieces here and there, maybe 10 total on a 10" sub. No peppers whatsoever. And a tiny shred of cheese. I would describe the taste but I try to avoid scatalogical references. I wouldn't pay $2 for this collection of garbage, but I DID pay $26.50 apiece. Burned. I took three bits, trying to soldier on through the sandwich, but threw mine away after three bites. I've only eaten from Capriotti's once before, and I loved the sandwich, a Wagyu Philly that was tasty, chocked through with onions and peppers, and oozing with melting cheese.
