Had an awesome sandwich at Firehouse Subs -- super meaty, fresh, and hit the spot. Definitely coming back for another!

As a Florida native, I don't order too much Latin food out here. It's not necessarily something I crave anymore. Admittedly, it's tougher to find legit Latin flavors. Well, I was thoroughly impressed with what I tried here! Roasted Pork "Lechon" ($18) // slow roasted berkshire pork shoulder, garlic mojo, pickled onion. This was the most filling bowl of food I've consumed in recent memory. The lechon was tender and flavorful, two ginormous pieces of unctuous, pull apart meat. The tostones were crispy and delicious. Pickled onions balanced the dish, though I was curious with the choice of using rings as opposed to smaller, julienne slices. Rice was yummy, beans just needed some seasoning. Hearty and comforting food right here! It was all so good that I had to stop by the stall later and tell the chef how much I enjoyed it. A little gem right here in Miami...wait...I mean Arvada!!!

I don't know who leaves all those high reviews for this sham of a fake Cuban restaurant. The only…read morething on their entire menu that came even close to Cuban food, especially from Miami was the fried yuca. The non toasted, non cuban bread on their skimpy cuban sandwich was a catastrophe. It upsets me highly as a Cuban from Miami who reveres my incredibly delicious Cuban food, when restaurants claim to be authentic Cuban food but they are nothing but. It brings a bad name to Cuban cuisine around the world. Someone who has never had real Cuban food goes into one of those imposter restaurants snd gets turned off of Cuban food because of their garbage. Update! 6/4/2026. It's so funny. The owner or the manager, whoever, got butt hurt about my opinion of the fake cuban food those imposters serve. He talked a bunch of unprofessional crap instead of listening to customers and stepping up their piss poor game. I went in there with 10 CUBAN family members. They came to Denver for a family reunion. I have Cuban family from Miami, Tampa, and New Jersey. After taking them to this Jama place, well, they haven't spoken to me since. Don't get mad at me because your food is slack. That's what losers do. The customer is always right. That's how I run my successfull business. You're probably already going out of business. Don't take it out on me bruh, get a plancha. And if u don't know what a freakin plancha is, there's no help for you. And stop being so sensitive. I'll bring u a pacifier so u don't cry

Fortunately, it is close to our home and the reviews looked great. When we arrived, we redirected from the main dining room to another space the restaurant owns 2 doors down. I wonder if we may have had a more attentive experience had we been in the original? The first disappointment was that our meal took 40 minutes to arrive from the time that we sat down. Our waiter consistently forgot that my husband had ordered a Diet Coke or to refill the drink when he had offered. The tables around us seemingly were served earlier, even though we all placed our orders around the same time. I ordered the Thai Pork Belly Benedict, which was absolutely delectable and definitely something write home about! And the country potatoes side was perfectly seasoned and crispy. I would absolutely go back for this, just maybe on a weekday brunch due to the wait. I thought it was extremely unique how the children's menu was plated in a muffin tin, with 6 different food choices for just $12. Great deal! My husband had a Belgian waffle topped with fruit, which was really unremarkable. Reminiscent of something that you might self-make at a hotel breakfast. Unfortunately, his waffle was cold, and he requested that they remake, which our server made sure was done in a timely manner. All in all, our meal was very reasonably priced at around $43. I just wish it hadn't been such a long wait, both to receive the initial order and for drink refills.

They have a large selection of subs, hot and cold, and plenty of different sizes, bread, and toppings to choose from. I get the Silver City which is Salami, Ham, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Oil, Vinegar, Oregano, Mayo (I ditch the ham, onion, and mayo for my personal liking). I like that their meat is already sliced thin and they give a good amount. The medium/regular size sandwich is pretty dense and sometimes I save half for the next day. It looks very much like a Jimmy John's but I feel like they stuff a bit more inside the bread. Might be a touch more expensive but feel like you get your money's worth. It's not as convenient for me as Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, and Firehouse Subs, but I get one whenever I'm in the area because I haven't been let down as of yet.

Inside the place was super clean and nice inside, but the sandwich was so meager and lack luster. To start they only have 2 bread choices and even Jersey Mikes and Subway have more. Ordered the double provolone and turkey sandwich with avocado. You can see by the pic this thing lacked double anything. Barely any meat or cheese and so skimpy on the avocado. So for me will stick the rivers and the valleys that I am used to.

Sandwich was the Tail Dragger sandwich (Black Forest ham, oven-roasted turkey, pastrami, salami, Swiss, provolone, and mayo on sourdough) along with Jalapeño Beer Cheese soup. The sandwich was spot on, well toasted with a satisfying crunch, melty cheese, and layers of flavor in every bite. The soup was equally impressive: rich, cheesy, and savory with just the right amount of jalapeño kick without being overpowering. There was a fairly large group of older / retired folks who had just ordered when I arrived. Whether they were waiting on a charter flight or this is a regular Wednesday gathering, the place had a fun atmosphere. Despite the crowd and several pending orders, my food came out faster than expected. As an added bonus, the Vegas Golden Knights' jet was parked on the tarmac, which was very cool to see. This place reinforces my theory that FBOs and semi-private airports often have some of the best hidden gem diners and bistros, places usually known only to flight crews and private pilots. Definitely worth the stop.

I found this little restaurant right inside the main terminal. The staff were absolutely wonderful and treated me like gold. I ordered a four cheese flatbread pizza and it was simple and tasty. From ordering to eating was about ten minutes. If you find yourself in Rocky Mountain Airport, give this little place a try. I think you'll enjoy it as much as my wife and I did.
