I've been pleased with my visits to Silver Mine so far. It's located in a strip mall near King Soopers (and Subway, bleh). Park right out front and no line inside. They have a large selection of subs, hot and cold, and plenty of different sizes, bread, and toppings to choose from. I get the Silver City which is Salami, Ham, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Oil, Vinegar, Oregano, Mayo (I ditch the ham, onion, and mayo for my personal liking). I like that their meat is already sliced thin and they give a good amount. The medium/regular size sandwich is pretty dense and sometimes I save half for the next day. It looks very much like a Jimmy John's but I feel like they stuff a bit more inside the bread. Might be a touch more expensive but feel like you get your money's worth. It's not as convenient for me as Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, and Firehouse Subs, but I get one whenever I'm in the area because I haven't been let down as of yet. read more

1st and last time trying this place and I only gave it an extra star because the employees were nice. As far as the sandwich totally blah and could've gotten the same at a subway. Inside the place was super clean and nice inside, but the sandwich was so meager and lack luster. To start they only have 2 bread choices and even Jersey Mikes and Subway have more. Ordered the double provolone and turkey sandwich with avocado. You can see by the pic this thing lacked double anything. Barely any meat or cheese and so skimpy on the avocado. I ordetd two sandwiches and a salad the Philly cheese was cold no flavor the other sandwiche was cowboy nogood chicken salad was had oxidation went back to see if he can make me a fresh salad the guy at the registered said too b ad that's how we make it and we are not taking it back. I don't usually write long reviews but this guy was rude and very unprofessional. They touch salads with there hands no gloves and give you the leftovers the chicken was shredded in pieces. I've instructed the people in my company not to patronize this esta ligament in fear of possible food poisoning. I will never go back. My favorite place to get a sub anywhere in Colorado. I think it is just the vast variety of ingredients and the quality hits! I have never been disappointed yet, I just wish there were more locations near me. I have been known to drive the 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back home to get it! Staff are always great, no complaints there. Ambiance and vibe is like any other sandwich joint. It's Colorado based, so it has a mining theme. It's always clean and there is always a place to sit. I was impressed that they had a good number of options. I ordered a sandwhich with turkey bacon and avocado. The avo was the store bought mush and not fresh, so next time I will try something different. Also the turkey layer was quite thin, but I think that's because there was also bacon on it. I prefer not much meat in general but I know most people would prefer more than one layer. The bread was better than subway, but not as good as Jimmy John's in my opinion. Ordered medium 8" Georgetown sandwich. Took out one half to eat. Something was wrong... opened it up to find ONE slice of turkey deli meat. ONE. HALF a slice of bacon. ONE slice provolone. A LOT of lettuce. Basically a lettuce and bread sandwich with minimally the rest. A RIP OFF!! Not even CLOSE to the picture online and sadly another example of restaurants skimping on portions. Our other order was a Cour d'Lane, add banana peppers.... NO BANANA PEPPERS. Our order was a TOTAL FAIL. Oh man, oh man, this place is OFF DA HOOK GOOD!!!!!! Hubby went here one day and told me the subs were good and since it just opened I'm always up for a good sandwich and like to compare places. This is by far the BEST subs I've ever had!! Better than Firehouse, Heidi's, Quiznos, Jason's and ofcourse Subway. I went and got just 1 sub in the morning the (Caribou) - Turkey Breast, Double Provolone, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, Sprouts, Mayo. It was soo good I had the hubby go back and get me 4 more just to try for a late snack and to have the next day. I tried the Caribou - Really delicious Tombstone - Easily my favorite, Love alfalfa sprouts and a good portion of it inside. Homestake - Love the philly cheesyness of it Outlaw - who doesn't love a good pastrami sandwich when done right, like these guys do it. Lawless Leadville - can't you tell I love turkey.. the meat is so moist. Bowl of Broccoli Cheese Soup - nice, thick, hearty and good on a cold night. This place is soo worth it and they open till Midnight, can you believe that!! They also deliver! I'm about to head out in a few and get me some sandwiches for later. I became so distracted by the mouthwatering scents permeating the air that I ordered the complete wrong sandwich. I had wanted The Prospector (pastrami, mmmm) but for some reason absentmindedly called it The Outlaw, which is a chicken Caesar kind of deal. Came in one night for diner while in town on vacation. We got sandwiches for the kids, the missus, and me, everyone was happy, everyone ended up full, and there wasn't a bit of arguing. Thin layers of buttery pastrami, seasoned perfectly with a creamy provolone and it was perfect on the honey sweet wheat bread... I ordered the large and couldn't believe how far the price was. To go. My local Silver Mine Subs has found itself in regular rotation for my 'lazy meal' on my days off. The sandwiches are consistently well made (they don't skimp on the veggies, which is important in a veggie sandwich!), service is prompt and attentive and the staff is always super friendly, personable and accommodating. The only guy who is clearly over 30 and is almost always there (I'm assuming he's the manager) is relentlessly enthusiastic and upbeat and you get the sense the staff likes working with him - that's always a great sign for me. Plus, they deliver to my house on the way west side of the Countryside neighborhood when nearly nobody else does (well, nobody else worth ordering from)... and late too. Stopped in for lunch and was not impressed. First their is no signage to tell you where to order and where to pay. No one welcomed us in - then there was a pretty rude lady who took our order. Not a good start. Went to order and noticed they have no ham options for a hot sub. There are like 6 chicken options, roast beef, pastrami etc but how do you not offer a ham option? Weird. Apparently they do not like for you to question this because the rude lady got ruder. I asked for the manager just to see if I could request ham being added to the hot sub menu. He was nice but apparently they cannot do hot ham subs. Still not really sure why. Ultimately I ordered the broccoli cheese soup. Not a good choice. Very runny and nothing special. Deli Zone/Jimmy John's has nothing on this place. Read a review about the au jus sauce being bland, the sauce I had was awesome! I had the philly, it was fantastic, wife had the turkey and loved it, kids loved the roast beef and the dog was happy with the scraps! Only thing I wish was more bread options, like a marble rye but it's not going to keep me from ordering from them again. Big fan! Thank you! Also, we're at the far corner of their delivery area, driver was very polite, apologized for "being late", deli zone is around the corner and Silver Mine was faster than them and better food....very happy! read more

We've ordered twice now; both times have been a good experience. Drivers were friendly, food was good and delivered promptly. I haven't tried it but my boyfriend says the Pastrami is amazing...probably deserves 5 stars but I didn't have it so 4 it is because the French dip is meh. We ordered four sandwiches for delivery tonight 10/21/15. Excellent sandwiches, very fresh!! One sandwich order was wrong..not a big deal..my husband called they offered to send a new sub, he told them not that big of a deal..five minutes later the doorbell is ringing and we were delivered two free huge chocolate chip cookies..the sandwiches were great, the service great and the cookies topped off a great meal. I will give the Silver Mine Subs in Westminster 5 stars if you love pastrami you will love the outlaw sandwich very few sub shops have pastrami and it is very tender not tough and fatty. We complained about receiving cold subs on a very cold night and they gave us a credit and honered tonight and once again "VERY GOOD" cannot comment on their other sandwiches but if you like pastrami it's fantastic.. Just not good. There are so many better sub shops. Meat is mediocre. The amount of meat is disappointing. They don't really seem to know how to make certain subs. I got what would be considered a steak bomb, the Homestake. It is supposed to have Angus beef. I am not sure what the meat was but it did not even taste like steak. The cheese was not melted. How do you make a steak and cheese which is a hot sandwich and not take the time to melt the cheese. More bread than meat too. Just disappointing. Will never go back as there are much better options. The only reason that they got 2 stars was because at least the food was edible. read more
