My husband and I went to our closest location. My husband wanted to order the featured signature menu item, the Hot One Spicy Dill sandwich. However, we were informed by the very polite staff that they weren't able to make the signature item because they've never had the hot sauce meant for the sandwich. They informed us that the owner makes the inventory orders and hasn't ever ordered the required hot sauce since the sandwich launched as a signature menu item. So they were unable to make the sandwiches featured on their menu. As well, their hot sauce bar was probably one of the most pitiful I have seen at a firehouse location. There were perhaps four bottles of hot sauce at the hot sauce bar lacking in just about all variety that I have ever seen in a firehouse location. I came here a week or so ago and 2 girls were working and they were so sweet. Well I went again after work today (2/2/25) and it was an African American kid (probably 18-21 years old) and a white guy (looked high on something). They made me feel uncomfortable THE WHOLE TIME. They were very unprofessional... whispering and laughing and staring at me the whole time. Then some lady that looked like a crackhead was sitting at a table reading a book and she called the white guy over and they were staring at me and laughing..: must've known each other. So I rarely go to Firehouse Subs. I don't like fast food most of the time but the hubcap wanted to go. I had a vegetarian sub from Firehouse in Florida a long time ago when I was on a vegetarian diet. It was delicious and the texture & taste were warm luscious perfection. So I decided to order it again instead of my beloved meatball sub. Lucky me, I had enough reward points collected in Florida on my Firehouse app for three years to get a free sub and dessert. It was difficult for them to access my rewards. I was really hoping this vegetarian sub tasted good. The order took some time. I kind of miss partaking in the large variety of hot sauces. The Turkey sub was not oven roasted as we are accustomed to having it. It did taste good just not the usual best. The vegetarian sub was a disappointment. Approach the door and girl who has a man and baby sitting at the tables inside and she comes running to the front door to lock it in front of us and tells us they are closed. Didn't even speak to us. My fiancé and I just left the restaurant and still cannot believe how we were treated so poorly by the manager of this location, Raz, and the manager of the Wilma Rudolph location, Ashley. We have been loyal customers for a long time and would have never expected to be treated the way we just were. A week ago, we ordered meatball subs and ended up being food poisoned by the restaurant. We immediately called the store to let them know so that no one else was served the contaminated food. At first, we thought they were going to treat us well as they said they would remake them at a different time. However, whenever we went to pick them up a week later, and even on the phone prior to picking them, the managers were very rude to us on the phone. The two managers kept transferring us and we had to go through little "interrogations" where we were confused why we were being treated poorly when we were being kind and understanding with the company, even with the serious situation of food contamination. When we went to pick them up, we were shocked and disappointed at how they handled the situation with such poor customer service. The two managers, Raz and Ashley, looked at us and basically accused us of lying about getting terribly sick. They said that food poisoning takes 48 hours to take place, which is false, and that if we "really got sick" then why would we order the same sub? We've gotten the meatball sub for years. It's the only thing we order as we have loved it in the past. We honestly were speechless and could not believe we were being blamed and called liars when we expected them to be kind and show us kind customer service. We will not be back and were very disappointed at this truly awful experience. We hope that they assess how they treat their customers so no one else is put in this situation by the managers themselves again. read more

I used to go to Firehouse and get there salads. About a year we stopped because the quality went down hill. While getting a Jets pizza we decide to try there salad again. Again we where disappointed. The cucumber where translucent the lettuces was in bad sharp. The sever should have picked out the bad piece instead of putting it in our salads. I'll stick to Jersey Mike subs and make our own salads. read more

Got a receipt on my phone that they double charged me I called in to get it fixed and some girl to claim to be the manager miss Russ or something and she told me there's nothing she can do and hung up in my face. I'm not sure who she is but she's a joke of a manager and person and if this location can see this review I'm in the service industry and know how you should deal with problems like these she is completely unprofessional and a clown. So today my husband and I decided to get a sandwich from fire house. I was disappointed, ordered a large NJ "Philly Steak" sandwich. The sandwich was prepared correctly with extra meat and cheese, however I found paper in my sandwich and it was cold. So I took mine back and the guy told me we will remake it. In the mean time I continued to hear from staff they were out of Wheat bread, then large white bread,then no provolone cheese. Ok I then got a little worried. 15 minutes later I got a regular and a small sandwich that did not have the extra. So now I am frustrated and choose to just eat it. This is really a second time I was disappointed by this restaurant. Not sure if training was and issue, or short staff, I don't know. I'm not the biggest fan of their subs. Hubby loves the brisket one but I'm more partial to another local sub place. Why the five star rating then u ask? Customer service. I have seen customers become rude and belligerent because they felt somehow the young people making their food should have had ESP and read their minds they wanted extra pickles and mustard (shame on that couple for acting like a donkey) and worse, but even in situations like that when treated poorly the young man who made the sandwich was kind and courteous. Customer service in the fast food industry is probably one of the most difficult jobs for teens and young adults because for whatever reason "customers" think they can treat them anyway they want to...Very impressed with the calmness the staff showed and I think I'll have to take my husbands offer up on visiting more. Just left from waiting to pick up my order. Rudest staff I have ever encountered. There were 3 orders and 3 staffers. No one seemed to be able to finish an order and then the mail staffer actually said "if they don't want to wait for me to fix their sandwiches then they can all go home and fix their own dinner!" Great new sub shop in the village! Bread from the Swiss Maid Bakery brought in fresh everyday and the sauerkraut rye is to die for. Warm and friendly atmosphere and the prices will drive Subway out of town. They put mounds of meat in each sub and there toppings are farm fresh. $5.50 for an 8 inch sub that will fill up the biggest appetite. Well worth the trip to visit the friendly brothers behind the counter. Great to add them to the slim selection in our small burg!! read more

The subs are really fresh and good. I love that the calories are posted and that there are low cal sandwich options. I also love the dozens of hot sauce bottles that are number coded by degree of hotness. The iced tea is very good and the place is clean. My only complaint is the chili. It's celery-ridden and very bland. I tried to salvage it with a hot sauce concoction, but it's just not very tasty. The potion also seemed small and it was loaded with over 1000 mg of sodium.
