Stopping through while traveling, we just needed a bite to eat. Something everyone would like. Firehouse came on the map and we locked it in. In general Firehouse Subs are very tasty. There are lots of options, and I've never had a bad one. This particular location wasn't terribly busy at the time, which was nice. It took a little while to get our food, but we did have four sandwiches to make. One was prepared wrong (perhaps a communication issue at the register), but they were content to make one the way we wanted it. I find the "bang for my buck" to be a little shy at Firehouse Subs. $10 for a 8" sandwich that isn't horribly complicated feels steep - which is probably why I only eat here when traveling and not regularily. read more

Really slow at making two sandwiches. Three workers and only two customers...it took 12 minutes then they only made one of the two sandwiches! They have the ability to do 3+ at a time but make them one at a time....never going back. The food was good but the cashier could not have cared less. She was the one with brown hair, nose ring & tattoos. She didn't bother to ask if we were a rewards member, just told us to pay & when I said oh I have a rewards barcode, she got irritated and told me to cancel the order. Except she had to because the button made an error noise on my side. So instead she said ok well I'm not cancelling so I guess just wait for it to time out. What?? That was so bizarre. There was a line so we said ok, guess we don't need the rewards. We ordered club on a sub & it was good. The bacon was very flavorful. Plenty of meat & also had chicken and dumplings soup - it came wrapped up in a crazy amount of plastic wrap so I guess no lids here but it was good. Lots of dumplings, a few pieces of shredded chicken & some peas/carrots. Creamy broth. Most tables clean, some had lettuce or other bits on them. The soda area was relatively clean. Bathroom could use some work, there was blue liquid or solid on the toilet and sink. Not sure what it was. The trash container was rusted? Paper on floor. Not as bad as it could have been. This review would be higher if the staff actually waited on customers. My husband was waited on, and shortly afterwards three other people came in. Two walked out without even being greeted after standing there for a few minutes. Customers will not come back if you don't provide service, and I don't only notice for myself. read more

I just moved here from Hawaii and haven't had Firehouse subs in 3 years. I forgot how good it was!! I had the Engineer and added black olives. It was GREAT!! The medium was a little too slow, next time I'll get the large. They had limited dining in seats available but I got mine to go. The two person staff was good though a little slow. read more

We needed a quick lunch as we were driving down this road that has every single fast food restaurant known to man. Someone suggested this chain which some of us had never tried. Two of us split their Italian sub. It was quite tasty given the extra Italian dressing and the fact that they serve it hot. The price was fair. Service was relatively fast given all of the current issues in the food service business finding good help. We will definitely give them another try when in need of a sub. read more

The food was great. The bread was a little stale the service there was amazing and also they let my kid have a free pen.

Left Firehouse subs approx. an hour ago and I have an issue. When walking in there was no one else there, which I thought was great because this was my first time and I needed some extra time to order and ask questions . My questions were answered and all but one of the employees was actually drinking water from her own personal water bottle, with no gloves on. So I'm looking at the subs that were advertised and I was like they all look amazing. So I ordered two subs! Got home and I was so disappointed !! These subs seemed as if no effort was put into them!!! They were like I can't even explain no effort into a sub that cost nearly twenty dollars and at the register have the nerve to ask for a dam tip! The tip is, take pride in other people money. If you work at an establishment make them look good , not bad! There was a veTy small amount of lettuce and tomatoes, one strip of bacon, I mean you charge all this money for nothing!! This was so disappointing!! I hope and pray that this review help the workers understand exactly what we expect as customers, and it's not losing our money and at the end of the day feeling cheated . service was very bad, went in after working a12 hour day and thought I would grab a quick sandwich, quick is not what I got. Waited 15 minutes, while waiting I was watching what I came to find out was the manager. She was calling very rudely to the employee in the back "are you gonna come and help, or what" well the poor girl comes out and jumps on the register and checks out the next two customers, I'm next so I'm telling her what I want and midway through the manager says help make sandwiches, completely ignoring me. so I'm waiting again probably for another ten minutes, finally the manager comes to the register "dine in or takeout" in the rudest most snotty tone, I should have walked right then but I was hungry. So I placed my order. Now again I'm waiting 15 minutes pass, maybe two people get their food, then the people that were behind me in line get their food, so now I'm like what the heck, so i stand up and the other employee asks if he can help me, the manager is looking at me now and asking what I ordered, they can't find the ticket and are scrambling, at this point I'm done I just want my money back so I can leave. She tells me she doesn't know how to do that and no. Now I'm mad. She says I can come back tomorrow to complain or take the sandwich but I'm not getting my money back. I said fine make the sandwich right now. you should've seen the attitude, slamming the bread on the counter, muttering obscenities' under her breath. I've never had a bad anything from Firehouse Subs until yesterday. Ordered the Chicken Parmesan Meatball sub for my Mom because they looked so good in the commercials. Sorely disappointed! That was by far the worst sandwich we have had in a long time. Beyond dry and tough! (She couldn't eat it so I gave her my sandwich.) I indicated on the app that I wanted caramelized onions, shredded lettuce and Mayo on the sandwich but got none of those things (didn't know that until I got home. Should have checked before leaving). Also ordered the Hook and Ladder, which was delicious and much easier and enjoyable for my Mom to eat. Will not be getting the Chicken Parmesan ever again! We came in right after the store opened. We had a great customer service experience. The young man was very friendly and helpful. We both ordered hot pastrami sandwiches and the person I was with got a 5 gallon pickle bucket. Part of the proceeds are donated to the local firehouse. Which I love. They had a super awesome mural painted on the wall. The whole place was reminiscent of a firehouse. Great atmosphere, food and customer service! read more

I went a couple days ago, but this is still on my mind so I figured I'd write a short review. This was my very first time visiting a Firehouse sub. The taste of the sandwich wasn't bad I was craving a nice pickle so I decided to go with the corned beef/pastrami. So here's my issue, for a $20 sandwich I should've gotten a lot more meat, no reason for my sandwich to mostly consist of bread it's blowing my mind. The lack of pastrami on a $20 sandwich was enough to make me never go back. It was a very disappointing experience, wish I would've taken a photo. First time visiting a Firehouse. Interesting menu of sandwiches, but they seem a little higher priced than comparable sub shops. Enjoyed the sandwich, although they skipped the lettuce, tomato, and onion condiments I asked for. Probably won't change my regular rotation of sub shops. read more

Kinda disappointing this place represents first responders. The place was filthy, sticky floors and tables needing a wipe down. There was a hair in one of our sandwiches, no straws, pickles were mushy...everything left a lot to be desired. read more

The order was ready in a visible place at the time I was supposed to pick it up. The order was correct in every aspect, and everything in the order had a good taste. The inside of the restaurant looked clean. And the self-serve drink station had a multitude of choices. Staff was friendly, only one person mopping the floors at 8:30pm, so they stopped to ring me up and make my food. Got to the hotel to eat about a 200yd walk. I really enjoy going to this restaurant. The service is always great and the food is always amazing. It is a hit with the wife and kids too. We try to make it to this restaurant a few times a month because it is just that good. The only reason I rate this a four star is because every time I find a hot sauce that I like, it seems to be empty the next time I go. I recently found a garlic one (that I opened) and I hope that it stays around for awhile because it is my new favorite!!! Also they have one of those coke freestyle machines that have those special drink. The drink that they have is a cherry limeade that you have to put limes in the get the full flavor. It's a chain, their subs are hot and awesome. I highly recommend the Hook and Ladder, partially involved (no onions or tomatoes). This particular location is extremely friendly. The mangers walk around asking how your food is and clear your plates for you. I've eaten at two locations in Knoxville and Nashville, and I have to say this is the best one based on dining experience. read more

Do you like hidden charges?? My husband and I decided to stop in split a sub. First thing we noticed was that there were no prices for just a sub. I didn't want chips or soda but with the huge line forming behind us, we just wanted to be quick. The girl asked if we were splitting the sub, I said yes and that was that. Come to find out, for them to cut the sub in half cost $2.50. In addition to that, we were asked if we wanted mushrooms, apparently that costs extra as well. Then, next to the register there is a sign with toppings, it did not say they were for an added cost so we got tomatoes - they cost us extra. My kids thought it was worth mentioning that they were offered a rice crispy treat instead of chips. It was a bite size one so they too were disappointed. Honestly, the subs were good - nothing special, and not worth all the added costs. I don't think we'll return, unfortunately - another crappy service chain restaurant here in Clarksville. read more

When someone says do not put certain ingredients on that could mean because they have bad allergy reactions to the ingredients. I specifically told then multiple times do not put this in it. Low and behold I go home and take a bite and my throat starts closing up!!!! This is ridiculous. They seemed more interested in talking to each other than interacting with customers. The subs here are amazing. The staff is not as pleasing. My wife received a free Brithday sub. The staff wasn't helpful. They acted like they would rather us not be there. Our order was to go. And they had it in dine in trays. Then the lady seemed irrated that I told her it was to go. I love the subs however be aware that the staff is not pleasant. read more

By far the Best sandwich in the business. Toasted bread and STEAMED MEAT make for a flavorful freaking sammich! A 8" medium fills me up.

We've been to different locations and never had a problem....this store is the worst. I don't think the employees got the training they need. I'm Me and my husband ordered to go, one was made wrong and the other sandwich was so horribly made that my husband wasn't able to eat it. He got an Italian sub, the bread was so soggy that it was falling apart. The meat was just in the middle of a footlong bread and there was extra vegetables that wasn't supposed to be in that sandwich. :( read more

Terrible service. MIL had to wait a ridiculously wrong time for her sub and literally all of our subs were done poorly. On top of all of that the servers were short to the point of rudeness. I went to the Wilma Rudolph location for a pick up order. I waited 10 mins for my order that was already done they just couldn't find it but they were busy so I understand that but when I went out to my car I noticed my salad had everything on it I had wrote no to including cucumbers that I'm allergic too. When I asked the girl with blonde/brown hair with glasses to remake it she told me I ordered it like that even though my receipt clearly said that wasn't true! She got irritated I still wanted it fixed. I have never felt so uncomfortable picking up my food . I get they were busy but that is no reason to be rude and make someone feel uncomfortable to ask for what they paid for. AFTER ALL this I get home to eat my sub to find out it had no bacon on it or lettuce . I was given a plain sandwich with just turkey and littlest amount of Mayo ever .
