The restaurant chain was founded in 1994 by two former firefighter brothers in Jacksonville, Florida, Firehouse Subs is known for great food and for giving back to first responders through its Public Safety Foundation. They have about 1300 locations worldwide. This location lives up to that reputation with friendly service, quality ingredients, and a great sandwich. I ordered a large firehouse hero sandwich. The sandwich was made as I watched. It was delicious, filled with meat, and packed with flavor. They offer a variety of other options including salads and kid-friendly meals. The store was clean and well-organized, and the staff was attentive and quick. There's plenty of free, ample parking right in front, which makes it convenient even during busy lunch hours. Room temperature IQ individuals. Cancelled my bogo order because they felt like it. Were extremely rude to my grubhub driver and kicked her out of the store. Refused to talk to me over the phone and refused to pickup my calls to the store. I will be speaking with corporate. No one should give this business any money. I just ordered a salad with chicken from the Eau Gallie Firehouse Subs restaurant. The guy who made my salad had s a bushy beard and long wavy hair hanging over his face. He did not have coverings over his beard or hair. He was bent way over the food with his beard and hair. It was sickening. There is no way this guy could get through a shift without getting hair in someone's food. The restaurant must be under new management. It was unkept and the counter staff did not seem to know much about the foo offerings. I will never go back and will follow up to make sure they use beard and hair coverings. read more

We got four sandwiches during their BOGO promotion on leap day. My meatball sub had a meatball in it that was so hard I couldn't bite into it. I also got a tuna salad sub that did not taste fresh. My wife did not like her sandwiches either. We threw all of them out the following day. read more

Food is great but I ordered 2 pickles and didn't even get one. Like how do you not give me pickles.

Two employees on a busy Saturday evening. Could tell they were busy because it took nearly 10 min to order. They were working hard and because of that I and three boys ahead of me waited patiently over 30 minutes while they're fulfilling call in and delivery driving orders and then they started making customers food that had ordered after me at the counter. So three maybe even four people got their food ahead of me and they ordered from the counter after me. I got my food ahead of the boys. Management, you have good workers, but please support them on a busy Saturday night. Rolling food out of order and getting food wrong does not create a good experience. Customer service was great. They really tried to keep the line moving & take phone orders. My son's mac n cheese was half full. I really wish you could see what's going on your sub while they make it. I enjoyed the Italian dressing & seasoning on my veggie sub. I was excited to see they had sautéed peppers & onions but there was hardly any on there. I was happy with the amount of lettuce but that's mostly what it was. I needed more toppings! read more

They do not care here. Like not at all. Our food is always wrong and my son is full on allergic to milk. Not lactose intolerant. Full on Epipen on hand always allergic to milk. Yet they never listen or read and always put cheese on his sandwich. We ordered through the app this time thinking we would be better protected from having our money taken for food he medically cannot eat, but that was a crock. Followed the instructions on the app to inform firehouse of the mess up; hoping they would just remake and let me know when it's ready. No. 2 weeks go by and I get an email for firehouse corporate asking all of these crazy questions, some medical, as if I said my son ate the cheese and had a crazy reaction. I write back and inform them that we have to check every time because they are notorious for messing up there, so we caught it before he could eat it and now that 2 weeks have gone by we just want our money back. They write back and say they are informing the store owner/manager of what happened and that they will be talking to me. Another week goes by and I get an email from Sara Bush (the District manager) asking me for a receipt. How on earth over 3 weeks later are you going to ask me for a receipt. I ordered through your app, emailed and complained through your app, and have all of that in your app, and you want me to provide you more proof 3 weeks later? Over a $10 sandwich??? This place is the worst in the area. Nothing but loud unedited rap music playing and the kids working there just do not care about anything. But why should they when their district manager is terrible person herself. What's even better is multiple times now I have come in there to pick up and they didn't even know they had online orders. They flipped and went over to the printer and there was my online order receipt. Sitting there for the last 20 minutes with no one I the store aware at all that they are being paid to do a job. We go here because we're beachside and fast food is limited. But it sucks. It sucks so bad. read more

Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024. Attempted online order about 11 a.m. and it wouldn't take. Finally called and the girl let out an exasperrated sigh before taking my order, promising about ten minutes. I arrived to be greeted by two employees, the girl who obviously took my order was also obviously wishing she was elsewhere. Order was not ready and it appeared neither counter employee was doing any prep work. They put together two other orders first before finally getting to mine twenty minutes after I entered. During this entirely umcomfortable period she was moody, slouchy, surly, petulant and reminding my of my eight year old granddaughter while she sat in timeout. There was clearly tension between her and the other employee, but he directed that at me asking me not to lean on the counter while I waited. Did I tip? Hell no!! With what I saw from those two entry level droids, they should have tipped me for putting up with an absolute absence of customer service, civility or maturity, and an over abundance of grade school, thumb-sucking attitude. The sandwich was terrible. We both got the steak with peppers and onions. Both the peppers and onions were like they were pickled which was gross. The whole sandwich was terrible. There was hardly any meat on the sandwich. Our bread was cold. Will never go back. The one in Verona Beach I will highly recommend.
