I love firehouse subs but I'm not a fan of this location. Customer service and being on time on orders could be better. I always come on time and have to wait an additional 10-15 mins until order is actually ready. I eat firehouse subs 2-3 times a week and they always offer promos for free drinks if you take the survey on the Reciept. The system was not working and instead of honoring the drink seeing that I'm a normal customer, the manager goes back and forth with me about it instead and ends up not giving me anything. . This was my first visit to Firehouse Subs, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered carryout and specifically requested no pickle-the receipt even clearly stated "**NO PICKLE**". However, when I got home, I discovered a large, very wet pickle spear placed directly on top of my sub. As a result, the top bun was completely soaked in pickle juice, making the sandwich inedible. I don't even know where to start with this place. It's the worst location I've ever been to. I called to place a pickup order and when I got here, the sign on the door instructed patrons to go through the drive through bc they were short staffed. I waited in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes just to pick up my food and they then proceeded to tell me I could go inside to pick it up. No where on the sign was there any indicators for pick up instructions. After I got my food, I opened the bag and they didn't give me utensils or napkins so I had to walk in and ask for them. When I told them they forgot to put anything in my bag one of the ladies proceeded to give me an attitude about it. The cherry on top was when I opened the Loaded Baked Potato Soup I ordered and there's not a single potato in my soup. It's straight up broth...AND my sandwich wasn't even toasted Do not waste your money here. Firehouse was on Fox, Saturday morning. Meatball sub looked really good, so decided to try it. Walked in Novi location, only ones there at 11:30 am. Ignored, not greeted for 3-4 minutes. Ordered 2, meatball subs, Med size. First, meatballs were adequate. Cheese and marinara sauce were pathetically minimal. Bun was burnt. Flavor was non existent. Our favs include the engineer sub, hook and ladder salad, veggie sub, and the new BBQ Cuban sub. While they're known for their awesome subs, they also have THE best fresh-made salads around - Anytime I want a salad I go here. Just ordered 3 subs online and all of them were prepared wrong. I asked for my sub to be without Mayo and Mustard and have a peppers and grilled onions added. They left off the mustard as requested but slathered on Mayo. They put on the onions but left off the green peppers. If you can read half of the order and make that right how hard is to read an entire order? They also request that you where masks when picking up your order which I have no problem with, but then the employees aren't wearing masks. Lots of room for improvement. read more

Recently picked up a few subs from Firehouse, the "Prime Rib Steak Sub" & the "New York Steamer" I had the later, a decent mix of corned beef brisket and pastrami, melted provolone, deli mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing. It was great. Sadly, the steak sub didn't live up to its name. My wife found it chewy & not as flavorful as the "steamer." Maybe it was the extra bacon I added to the Steamer, don't know. I actually was shocked at how good the subs are here. They are good and you get a ton of meat on your sub for the higher than Subway price. This is a newer restaurant so it's still very clean inside. The only issue here is there is no wall separating the customers and the employees, so you could hear them talking about us. I told them I didn't want the pickle that came with the sub, and the worker asked me why, i simple said I don't like pickles or the juice that runs off and soaks into the bread. Next thing I know I could hear them making fun of me. Now I don't care that they did that, if there was a wall, I wouldn't have heard that have it would have been better. read more

This place is terrible. I went through the Drive Thru and they told me to wait. I sat there for about 6-7 minutes and no one got back to me. No worries, I've been to Firehouse before and it's always a mess but the food is good so I don't mind. At any rate, I decided I'll just go in. I figured since I waited 10 min at this point just to take my order, the guy would make an exception, since at that time I was also the only guy in the drive thru anyway.... Welp, the guy in charge didn't like that and started to get an attitude for no reason as I was leaving already. I understand everywhere is under staffed and a lot of demand, but man, he could of just said sorry we're backed up and let me leave. A teenager acknowledges me at the drive thru then asks me to wait, which I get if they had other customers in the drive thru or inside. But they didn't. [2.50 Stars] Firehouse Subs recently opened a store within two miles of my New Jersey home. I've yet to visit that location, but a catered business lunch in the Novi area provided my introduction to the Firehouse Subs chain. Delivered for our lunch were several cardboard display boxes, each containing neatly labeled rows of 3" mini-subs. Although the sandwich I selected was from the "ham" row, neither appearance nor flavor convinced me that this wasn't actually turkey. Unappealingly flattened, presumably to fit in their display, the lettuce was quite wilted and the tomato partially liquefied. The mildly-spicy sauce used didn't compliment the flavor of the sandwich. Despite these setbacks, the sandwich tasted "alright." In the interest of fairness, however, these demerits are as likely to the the fault of Firehouse Subs packaging for catered service. It is clear that my first exposure to Firehouse Subs wasn't all that it could have been, but also that this location sorely needs basic quality assurance measures. I've long been impressed by the Firehouse Subs corporate commitment to the brave first responders of America's communities, and therefore, have difficulty believing that my experience represents their best efforts. Whether called subs, hoagies or grinders, this is a crowded commercial playing field whose all-stars are more often quality local delis. Where local options of a known quality weren't available, Subway was-- for decades-- my go-to. Recent documented concerns regarding their cleanliness and freshness have steered me to also consider other options. Because I'm on keto, I have to order my subs without a bun, in a bowl. Although Firehouse Subs does accommodate its not really easy to explain to them what I want, nor for them to ring it up. So this time I decided to order a salad. Omg, the firehouse salad with turkey was awesome! It had cheese, bell pepper, and tomatoes topped with a hearty amount of turkey slices. I picked up two subs, my Italian adding bacon and taking off tomatoes. I got tomatoes and bacon was placed on my veggie sub.

We eat at this firehouse subs pretty often and the food is always great! Clean establishment with friendly staff. A medium is enough for two meals in my opinion. It's nice they have a small sub option which is about 3-4 inches and just enough for one meal. It does take quite a few minutes to go through the drive thru but it's not their fault, the sandwiches take a few minutes to prepare. Would reccomend read more

We never ate the salads my husband thought they spit on them after we complained. 7-19-19 Pretty bad, We ordered a Italian salad and a Hook and Ladder salad. Horrible experience. I ordered two veggie subs through the drive thru. Order was mocked slightly but that's fine. There's a medical reason I ordered that way that I'm sure Todd couldn't be bothered with. When I paid I didn't notice at first they charged me for one sub. When they brought one I asked for the other and handed my card over. They said Todd told them they couldn't because the inside was too busy. What? They said I could pull into a parking spot and they could try to make it. This was after a 10 minute wait. To top it off they added mayo which I asked to be left off and didn't give any peppers on the side like I asked. I left with my one sub because the incompetence was apparent. I will never return. So what happened at Firehouse Subs in novi,mi? They used to have the best subs. We have had at least 10 subs from there in the last year. This particular experience resulted in a soggy mess. I'm convinced that the sub I ordered had been sitting under a heat light for some time. The bottom of the sub bun was saturated with whatever dressings they use. The paper thin tomatoes were green in the middle. I ended up throwing it in the trash. I will give them a break for a while and go somewhere else. read more

Oh YUM! We were starving so we decided to stop by. I had never had a Firehouse Sub. We were greeted as we walked in, nice touch. I decided on a small turkey, bacon ranch sub. It was nice that the girl behind the counter let me know that a small was about 3 inches. No worries, that's all I needed. My husband got the same but a medium (6 inches). We both upped to the combo. Nice selection of chips. Got our drinks, and sat down. It didn't take too long for our sandwiches to be brought to our table. They looked delicious, and they tasted as good as they looked! So Firehouse subs is a new place to the area. This area is full of businesses and a huge hospital so they should be prepared for an influx of people during the lunch hour. Of course this is not the case 3 people, 1 manager and 2 overwhelmed employees. The main focus is the drive thru the customers that got out of their cars to come in to experience firehouse subs were neglected. The 3 employees that worked there were stressed and overwhelmed not their fault but it is the fault of whoever is running this business. My sub order of course was wrong due to the understaffed restaurant. @Firehouse subs if you do read these keep in mind that Jimmy Johns is right down the road and their staff is 3x as much as yours and the line and wait is about 1 minute not 15 minutes. I must say this was not a good experience probably one of the worst I have experienced in a long time. Where to start they got my daughter's order wrong twice, work at a very slow pace, had unsweetened ice tea in the sweet tea, ran out of ice in the beverage machine. An apology was made by an employee but seemed like it was just part of their daily routine here. In the 45 minutes including myself there was three other customers who's orders they either forgot to make or made incorrectly.
