The waitress waiting on me seems pleasant. The kitchen is rather narrow, not much space for more than one person, depth-wise. They have a really good variety of Delight flavored coffees: caramel macchiato, Irish crème, hazelnut and vanilla. They have fresh squeezed OJ. Ordered a green tea, turkey Reuben with both kraut and slaw, large Greek salad, feta on the side, hobo skillet, scrambled eggs and biscuit and a side of cinnamon raisin toast instead of pita bread. $45.05 I feel blessed that I use both sides of my brain. I can be technical, analytical, I can be creative, I am proficient with the English language. I am organized. I have good traits that go across both sides of my brain. The turkey Reuben is good, small, but the rye is still toasted and slightly crunchy. The cinnamon raisin toast is cinnamon, no raisin, it was so-so. I smothered it with cream cheese, made it more palatable. The Greek salad was ok. It's a bustling diner. The hobo skillet was good. Service is their strength. Every employee is friendly and helps each other out here.

I ordered the hobo skillet with their house made corned beef. It came with either a biscuit or side of toast so I chose toast. The skillet was very hot so the only thing I wish they did was bring me an extra plate rather than eating it directly out of the skillet. The coffee was good and I did like the taste of the skillet.

This morning I tried the special Strawberry Tres Leche French Toast. I really like First Watch's…read moreFrench Toast because the soak the bread just the right amount. The toppings made the dish really delicious, especially the warm dulce de leche! I got an order of the million dollar potatoes on the side. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat everything, but I wanted a little bit of savory to go with my sweet French toast. These are some of my favorite potatoes!

3.5 stars for really silly reasons?…read more We wandered in on a Saturday morning, and it really didn't look too busy. Only half of the tables had anyone seated, but we somehow still ended up waiting for a table for 3 for about 15 or so minutes. The food itself was worthy of 4 stars, though I would say that it leans more towards being "Instagram ready" rather than tasty unto itself. The lavender wild berry french toast was fun, but the flavor got to be a bit overwhelming the more I ate it. The next time I come back, I think I'd prefer to go with something simpler. Service is what holds my review back from 4 stars. Our server was very friendly, but he seemed a bit overwhelmed with the number of tables he was looking after (and again, the restaurant only seemed half full). Maybe they need to sort out a staffing issue or something else going on, but there was just something... not quite gelling with this restaurant. We'll no doubt wander back in another day, and I'm hoping I can report a different experience then.

It still served breakfast when most places had switched to lunch. (There are lunch options available). My mom ordered the two eggs, grits, Canadian bacon and toast. She enjoyed her meal! My nephew ordered the Oreo pancakes and it was honestly too much for him. Although he enjoyed the flavor. I tasted it and it was delicious! I went with lunch and ordered the wings and waffle fries. The waffle fries were some of the best I had. The wings were seasoned well. My only issue was a few wings had a dark color like the wing was injured and the meat had turned due to dried up blood. (I wish the chef had noticed and not served these ones.) Overall, it was a good breakfast and somewhere I'd return if in town again.

I'd made reservations, and…read morewhen we arrived a few minutes early, although it was very crowded, our party of three was seated immediately. I had the triple triple omelet, with bacon, ham, sausage, and three different kinds of cheese. It was packed full of ingredients and very, very good. Unlike some omelets, it had plenty of cheese. I opted for fruit on the side, which was a nice serving of melon and grapes. I also opted for an English muffin instead of toast or a pancake, which was perfect. I asked for the English muffin hot with lots of butter, and she brought me about eight pats, which was definitely too much, but I appreciated that there was plenty! My daughter also had the same omelet, and said she enjoyed hers. My husband had two eggs over easy, with potatoes, bacon, and pancakes, and said it was nothing special, but good. What set the Hudson Café apart was that they had alcoholic breakfast cocktails, so I tried the espresso martini. Delicious! The whipped cream on top was especially good. I ended up having two! (Oops!) I'm looking forward to visiting again the next time we're in the Detroit area.
