Ordered online and picked up. No one acknowledged when I went in. Finally asked for my order and they were working on it. They set it up and never called my name indicating ready. The subs hardly had any meat as the first 3 or 4 bites were bread and order large and medium fry both were the same size. When I asked I was told the large had 2 sauces but couldn't explain why they were the same amount of fries. Drive further and go to Murfreesboro!! This location is not it! read more

#9/2025 Well this Firehouse subs is in a very very heavily traveled area very packed all the time here south of Nashville here in Smyrna. I'm leaving only three stars though unfortunately because most of them are usually five and four stars in the past where I've been but there's a few things that could be different. First of all parking is a real pia. It's in a strip mall area and that thing is slammed with different businesses sometimes you got to park and hike It. With staff is really nice most of them are high school kids when I came in after the dinner hour. But they were pleasant and did what they needed to do. One of the things that stood out to me here though is they do not have any easily accessible plugs so if you bring a laptop in tablet want to charge your phone that's not really going to happen where you can sit down and do it like other fire houses that are really good about that having outlets all over. Also the store was kind of dirty. It's like they don't really pick up right after and wipe tables down immediately they were kind of LAX on that. But nonetheless the quality of the food was good. I got one of their favorite originals the hook and ladder no onions. It came out really good it was very tasty and a bag of harvest cheddar Sun chips and they had the fancy freestyle Coke machine so I got Powerade zero sugar orange flavor. They do have a spice bar here now basically it's a bunch of spice bottles you can either take the bottle to your table or you can take it put in a cup and throw it on your sandwich and give you some ideas. I'm not big fan of spicy stuff anymore my insides can't take it and I was kind of surprised it was one that was not definitely anything I would even come close to trying lol The bad part though it did have Chipotle and I do like a chipotle sauce but what they threw in there absolutely not whatsoever! One of the other specials are currently running like a lot of other places have they have a French dip now with au jus. I finished off my meal with one of their oatmeal raisin cookies it was pretty good. I don't know what the can was like I didn't visit it didn't have to go. But as I mentioned there's a few things it doesn't get two stars because nothing was below average but nothing really stood out warranting the extra star so I'm just holding it right at three stars across the board. I was the only customer standing in line with five workers behind the counter, someone should at least ask the customer if they need help.

This was my first trip here in a while and it was a better experience for me than in times past. Normally i would waste half my sub because the middle would turn to mush while waiting to be eaten. This trip, it didnt. And it tasted perfect. The store was very clean and customer service was great as well. I probably wont wait as long to return now. read more

Haven't eaten here in awhile, but I was pressed for time and starving so dropped in and placed a to go order. I ordered the turkey sub and it definitely did the trick for me. I did not eat there so only was able to catch the dining area for a few minutes while I waited. They do have outdoor seating which I loved and the inside was kept clean. I haven't eaten here in years but it was one of the only places open on Labor Day this year so I stopped in for lunch. The lack of good veggie options ruined this visit for me. There is a veggie but it's weird. It is supposed to be three cheeses with sauteed onions and bell peppers. What it was, it looked like, was a bag of onion slices with cheese and a lot of liquid. The guy who took it out of the heater box drained the liquid for a good 5 seconds there was so much. Then just piled all the onions on to the bread. I asked for cucumbers and they came cubed. So what I got was a liquidy onion sandwich with odd chunks of cucumbers. What the heck is this!? I ate the sandwich. I like onions so it didnt kill me. But I've never eaten that many onions at once and never without something else. It would have been better to just go with cold onions and peppers with veggies like Subway. There was no avocado either. I'm not a fan of the veggie and won't go here again for it. PS: look, I don't care if someone is cussing. But when you are like 2 feet from customers you ought to avoid "Motherf***er" etc. I'm not sure what the dude was struggling with when making the sandwiches but that was unprofessional. (And it wasnt a one time thing either.) No names because I'm not about getting someone fired or anything. Firehouse Subs is a unique place in that its founded by Firemen. I don't know what qualifies Firemen to make delicious submarine sandwiches, but they appear to succeed! Its not quite as good as Jimmy Johns to me, but its considerably better than Subway. My biggest complaint seems to come from the soft moist buns. They made my sub collapse under its own weight. But its a minor complaint. I would certainly return if I'm in the area. If its this or Subway, Firehouse wins in every category. read more

I came in here for dinner with the family and (bonus!) it was kids night as kids eat free with an adult! I love their subs. They are packed with lots of meat and full of flavor. My usual here is the Club on a Sub. Yum! My husband ordered the Steak and Cheese and it was good but not the best. Kids had meatball sun and turkey and provolone sub. They loved it! I would definitely recommend this great Sub restaurant and it will fill you up and won't leave you hungry! read more

Have not eaten at Firehouse in a long time. Decided to order online. Drive to the location. Food not ready when told it would be. No problem. Theres 20 people standing inside and not a soul with a sandwich. Finally get my order. The outside of the bag was gross. Crap smeared all on the oustide. My sandwhich was smaller that I remember them being. The bread is dry and hard on each end. I paid for extras on my sandwich. None were added but I was charged and clearly states on the receipt. The sandwich was just salty, dry and small. I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Ate here today for lunch. Had the Capt. Sorensen's sandwich. It was tasty. I really liked the whole wheat bun they used on it. Ordering was quick. Service was quick. This was the first time I used the Coke machine with all the different varieties of drink. I got the diet root beer. It was good. The only criticism I have is that they may want to consider changing around seating. It was a little awkward getting to the cashier to order. I love Firehouse and this is one of the best locations around. The meats are always piled high and the wait time is always short. I usually dine in since you can get in and out quickly for lunch. I have been to several Firehouse locations all around. The quality of this store is by far the worst. The sub I got yesterday was inedible. The bread was under cooked and drenched in mayo. I tried just eating the meat, but it was more fat than meat. This location is dragging down the brand. Also, be prepared to be shamed into donating your change upon check out. read more

Last night I called to order sandwiches to go and asked the staff member if they had curbside. She replied no, but offered to bring it to my car anyway. I explained to her that I have Covid and did not want to come inside the building. She graciously took my payment over the phone and brought my food to my car when it was ready. My grandson had one of these subs Friday and told me it was the best he ever had. He loved the drinks too. I went on Saturday and have to admit it was also the best sub I have ever had. What I didn't like from the website is no prices were listed. I paid a little less then $8.00 for a 12" Italian sub combo. The brownie I got with the combo was very good too. It was worth the price!! They also sell 6" subs. When a person chooses a drink, such as Coke, it gives several choices of Coke from the drink machine. For example: Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Raspberry, etc. I couldn't eat all the sub so saved it for later. It had a lot of meat on it and was heated. I definitely will return. read more

This has to be the dirtiest Firehouse Subs we have ever eaten in. The cashier was mopping floors, cleaning tables, answering the phone, wiping her face/mouth and delivering food to guests and NEVER WASHED HER HANDS!!! We insisted on getting our own food from the counter to avoid her from touching our food. There was NO soap in the ladies restroom and when we mentioned the unsanitary conditions, the employee just ignored it and continued mopping and delivering food. Not to mention the floor was wet and they didn't post any wet floor signs and there were numerous guests dining in. There is NOTHING special about this place. Subway, Penn Station, and similar sub shops are a lot more efficient and these Firehouse employees seemed clueless. You walk up to the counter to place your order and get mumbled to by a few people until finally someone has the fortitude to ask if they can help. Then they tell someone else to take your order who then asks for your name to call. (so they can write it down incorrectly) Does Washington sound like Watkins to you? You then find your own way around to the drink fountain that has straws which only leave you with only a 1/4 inch of straw to use above the lid. After waiting excessively long for your sandwich, you then need to wonder out loud if perhaps that is your sandwich sitting up there on the counter uncovered while everyone, employees and customers, have walked by it doing who knows what to it. Coughing, Sneezing, or picking away at it? Because then some guy that has been watching TV walks up and asks if he may help? Then miraculously a name possibly linked to yours is hollered out at the same time a guys walks up to you with your now cold and soggy sandwich without your chips. Then TV guy (he never introduces himself) tells you he will explain "how things work around here" as if you have entered his castle. I enjoy their food here at the Smyrna Firehouse, however, the female manager lost a lot of respect tonight. We came in with our young daughter and while waiting in line to order, a guy started going off because he was told he couldn't get a cash refund on his card order for whatever reason. Well, what really upset everyone in the restaurant is this guy was yelling and cussing very loud. Well, not only did the employees call police, but this guy did to for whatever reason he thought necessitated the call. Well, the manager was outside in her suv when the police pulled up and they all went outside to talk. Well, the manager and officers came in and the guy got a sandwich with a smile...amd was able to eat there in the restaurant. I'm sorry, but if you disrupt a place of business and are disrespectful, you should not be allowed to stay. Three stars for the sub, minus two for lack of management. I guess they were slow and started cleaning and closing early. We ordered 30 minutes before closing, they had all broken down the sauce counter andsaid they only had 2 less than desirable options. Really, going half the weekend sans sandwich options. I ordered a sandwich and chips on Uber eats. I opened my food bag and no chips. I called Firehouse and explained what happened. The girl says hold on, I don't know what to do. I can hear discussing this with someone else, then she says there is nothing she can do. I explain that this was unacceptable because I was charged for the chips (almost the cost of a full sized bag of chips) and I want to speak to a manager. She then tells me it is the Uber driver's job to make sure they have everything. I don't think an Uber driver should be going through your food in the bag. That is not clean. That is the food preparer's job. I did find on the Uber app that I could request a refund. Just not a very good experience and the firehouse sub staff didn't do a very good job handling this. read more

I've tried. This several times and really tried to like it but I don't. The service is always great and people working there have always been friendly. Although if you like your sandwiches more on the dry side this isn't much for you. The subs are hot I dont know if you can get them cold but they always seem to be swimming in whatever sauce you get.
