A nasty cold sub paid over priced and delivered cold straight from the staff YUCK

1/80th of a star rating ! After waiting 25 mins after ordering food the manager and coworker decided to wait on others make door dash food first and then yell out how someone called out for later today... I got home legit walking distance after FINALLY GETTING MY FOOD & it's f*king COLD! Meat not throughly cooked all staff unprofessional I'd eat hot trash before going here again & knowing my tax money goes to the ungrateful over influences "minimum wage" is complete and utter bull sh!t thanks for your read I'll never ever go in another firehouse DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually have a decent experience with Firehouse but tonight I was rather disappointed. I walked in to an empty restaurant except for two other people waiting ahead of me. They had already been helped, but I was told there would be a 20 minute wait because they were backed up. I assume they were understaffed, but there were three employees behind the counter. The boy who took my order did not hand me a cup when I'd asked for a drink. I also ordered a steak and cheese, and I got a cold, soggy sub that had a spicy sauce on it that doesn't usually come on the steak and cheese. Additionally, I would question the freshness of ingredients judging by my cold sanwhich and the brown limes sitting near the soda fountain.

    Kids eat free on Tuesday.

I loved Firehouse when we lived in Jacksonville and was happy when this location was built shortly after we moved to Virginia Beach. Today I took my kids there for lunch. Kids 12 and under eat free on Tuesdays, two kids per medium (or larger) combo meal. The kids get a sandwich, chips and a drink. I think there's a small up charge for a cookie or brownie to replace the chips. We were all excited about the soda fountain that lets you mix different flavored drinks. John is right though, it can take people a while to decide what they want, especially if they have little kids. Also, it can take a first-timer a minute or two to figure the thing out. The staff was mostly friendly. There was a girl training a new guy and she seemed agitated, but hey, we all have off days. Our food came out very quickly. I wasn't even done filling our drinks by the time our food came out. I love the firehouse theme and so do the kids. The TVs are a nice touch, too. My son enjoyed watching soccer while we ate. If you get a kids meal don't forget to grab them their firefighter hat. They never hand them to you and I tend to forget to grab one unless my kids mention it.

Nothing special. Subs don't have a ton on them - just like Jimmy Johns. Decent if nothing else, but there are lots of options around

I don't usually write reviews like this, but what happened today deserves to be called out…read more I placed an order for 40 pounds of chicken leg quarters for a family Easter gathering--something that requires planning, coordination, and trust. Yesterday, I even called ahead to confirm hours and made it clear I would be picking up my order today. When I arrived, I was met with complete incompetence. My order was scribbled on a yellow Post-it note--already a red flag--and they had written the wrong date (Monday the 7th). Because of their mistake, they had sold out of chicken and had nothing to give me. No backup plan. No accountability. Nothing. So now, on a major holiday weekend, I'm left scrambling to replace 40 pounds of meat for my family. It gets worse. After leaving, I called and spoke with the owner. I expected at least a basic apology or some attempt to make things right. Instead, I got smug indifference. No ownership, no urgency, no concern. His "solution"? Offer me whole chickens cut into quarters at nearly THREE TIMES the price. That's not a solution--that's taking advantage of your own mistake. When I asked how something like this even happens, his response was essentially: "Well, I guess they wrote it down wrong." That was it. No apology. No effort to fix it. Just a shrug wrapped in arrogance. This wasn't a minor inconvenience--this was a complete failure in customer service, communication, and basic professionalism. If you're trusting this business with an important order, don't. They've shown exactly how little they value their customers when it actually matters. I won't be back.

Our large multi-generational family would attend church and then return home to indulge on traditional Polish foods, including smoked kielbasa (pork sausage), ham, beet horseradish, poppy seed and walnut rolls (sweets!), and bread/butter that had been molded into the shape of a lamb. This year would be different. I'd be in Virginia Beach, visiting our adult daughter -- and we'd be guests at her boyfriend's, whose parents would also be visiting. While the meal would be Italian American (their heritage), we wanted to share some traditional Polish favorites with the group. We discovered the Kielbasa Euro Deli online, and rushed on over. Upon entering, you find a small shop with aisles of mostly jarred and canned food items from Poland, some souvenir items, and freezer/refrigerated cases with pierogies (filled dumplings), farmer cheese, and other treats. At the back, there's a deli with kielbasa and other meats. As we considered one particular kielbasa, the worker in the deli area offered us a taste. Sold! We ended up finding and buying many of our traditional favorites. We missed out on the butter lamb. While the store carried them, we watched another patron buy the final one that was in stock. More would be in stock in a few days. *Kielbasa. We bought a large 2 pound link. (smaller links are also available). It was good, but our personal favorite continues to be the smoked kielbasa from Schiff's in Scranton. *Horseradish. (jarred). Excellent. Pungent. *Pierogies. We bought three frozen packets, each of which contained 12 small pierogies. (1) The potato and mushroom ones were disappointing. The potatoes were grainy, and we couldn't tell that they included mushrooms. (2) Blueberry -- as expected, but more of a dessert because of the sweetness. (3) potato and cheese -- haven't tried yet. *Poppy seed rolls. Very good, but still can't replace fresh and homemade! *(Wal)nut roll. Disappointing. More bread-y than sweet, a bit stale, and with an insufficient amount of nuts. Our final bill came to above $75. Note that, based on the labels, it appears that most of the "fresh" items are not made in Virginia Beach. Rather, they're coming from New York. I would return to this shop for Polish foods -- which are unique and time-consuming to make. It's great to have the shop in VB! Enjoy!
