Like any other Shake shack store they had the counters for orders and I hardly had to wait 10 mins to get my food . They are situated right at the center of town center area and near to a lot of other restaurants. Westin and other hotels are right next to it, so drive isn't an issue. For a burger, side, drink / milkshake plan on spending $25-$30 per person. I ordered the French onion burger with onion rings and a cookies and cream milkshake. The burger was delish! It tased like burger dipped in French onion soup. The thick onion soup like sauce, crispy fried onions mixed with soft onion, gruyere cheese and beef patty is hunger crushing combination. I recommend this one if you go. The onion rings were done right; crispy but not too thick batter with a soft onion inside, on point. The milkshake was thick but drinkable, and yummy. Décor inside is very hipster industrial style, almost unimpressionable enough that had I not been checking it out for this review, I doubt I would have noticed it. The shake shack is a nice spot if you want to take a break from drive thrus. It is an eat in spot with indoor and outdoor dinning. You order your food on a screen inside the restaurant then someone brings it to you but it's not a waiter service. The food was made to order and tasted good. I've been a huge fan of Shake Shack for years, beginning with the first times I tried it in NYC & New Jersey. So I was very excited when a location opened in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach. It has always been my choice, when running errands or doctors appointments & requiring a quick, small lunch until dinner. The convenience of ordering a ShakeBurger on their App & having it ready when I arrived was great. For a long time they also had a feature where an employee would bring your order to the vehicle when you arrived. Now you have to go inside to pick up the order. The reason for the change in my review from 5 stars to 3 is the change in the quality of the beef. When they first opened the high quality beef I expected was used. Recently they haven't been the same, tasting like they had a lot of filler. The quality was similar to fast food restaurants where I will never eat. This definitely wasn't a "Steak" Burger. Is this locally sourced beef? Has it been only a degradation of the meat quality at this location? I'll have to try a Shake Shack in Brooklyn to determine. I wish my much loved ShakeBurger would return to high quality beef, even if it's more expensive. I prefer quality to pricing, Until the beef sourcing is improved I won't be using Shake Shack as a quick small lunch. read more

I never forgot how satisfying their veggie burger is with the patty plus downed it with a cookies n' cream shake. My bae got the limited edition Carolina BBQ with frickles (fried pickles). He also got the limited edition strawberry frosted donut shake which tasted like a giant sprinkle! Ordering was seamless thanks to their tablets on the side. I noticed you could order online as well. A gift for indecisive folks where you can read the descriptions at your leisure and pick whatever you like from seasonal lemonade drinks to seasonal shakes!! I get full from their burgers but wish I had another stomach for their fries! I haven't tried their chicken sandwich but would like to one day. Looks super appetizing. We took our meal to-go but in the meantime used the restroom (one stall per room so may have to wait) and I filled up my water bottle thanks to their water station! I stopped here for a quick burger. I ordered on one of the kiosks provided. The food came out pretty quick. I had the Carolina BBQ Burger with Fried Pickles and to drink the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake. The burger was good better than the fast food chains. The shake was good but I didn't like the toasted kataifi shredded phyllo. It kept clogging the straw and I don't like drinking chunky items in my shakes. The service was quick. Not a whole lot of interaction with the staff. The atmosphere is fitting for the type of food with a nice outside eating area. The bathrooms could use an upgrade. It's a one person at a time type of bathroom but there is room to add partitions to allow more guests to be able to use at a time. There was a pretty long line for the men's room. Overall, I would recommend this place especially if you're looking for a quick bite to eat that's better than other quick burger spots. read more

Been wanting to try this location since I've moved here. Finally went today and everything ran smoothly. Ordering at the kiosk was a breeze and self-explanatory. While waiting for our food, I went to the condiment and soft drink station to grab napkins and utensils; it was very clean and well organized. A few minutes later, our food arrived at our table and the staff member had a friendly smile. Food was delicious, I asked for the double shack burger extra, extra well done, and they did not disappoint! Only one toilet for each gender, so you may have to wait, but it was extremely clean. The industrial theme continues inside, where the self-service terminals allow you to order without ever speaking to a human. While waiting for our food, I mentioned to my wife that I had dropped my keys in a puddle outside and no they were sticky; a worker who was cleaning tables overheard, found me at the table, and brought me a sanitizer wipe to clean up my keys. Obviously that's no reflection on the food, but it SURE IS a reflection on the people working there, who were all very friendly and helpful. The fries are the sort of crinkle-cut fries you remember from middle school: they haven't improved much. The burgers are fantastic. They're kinda tiny, but when you consider that you're getting made from scratch quality at drive-through prices... it's not a terrible trade-off. Nice and chill place to go. I like that you walk in and you can order using the touchscreen ordering system, or walk up to the counter and get assistance. I prefer the touchscreen, I don't feel pressured to rush. It's easy, they made it so that you can easily find what you need. After paying for your order, you sit down and they bring your food to the table. Servers have always been nice and cheerful. You clean up after yourself when you're done eating so the area is as clean as others leave it. I do see people that work there cleaning and wiping tables down every now and then. As far as the food goes, it's great!! We just discovered this place not too long ago and have gone 3 times as a family. Sometimes my son goes with his friends. The food really is good, we've stopped going to our favorite burger place because this has become our new favorite. read more

I am not one to visit fast casual burger joints, but this one really is good. The food always comes out fast and piping hot, and their flavor is awesome. I'm not a huge fan of the fries, but my family loves them- they do always come out fresh and evenly cooked, so can't complain. What better way to start my burger tour of 2023 but trying Shake Shack. So let's first start out with the parking situation at this location. It's very apparent that curbside service is preferred due to the amount of curbside parking spaces. I attempted to order thru the app and use the curbside option but unfortunately the app was not applying my coupon code I had which forced me to find a parking spot and go inside. Once inside they have a number of computers which is where you have to order your food from, I was concerned I was going to encounter the same issue I did with the app but grateful I didn't. I will say nobody greets you when you walk in which I personally don't like. When you walk into an establishment I feel they should greet people. My food was successfully ordered and I sat and waited for my order to be prepared. The food was ready very quickly which is great. Considering I wanted curbside so I can get my food and go. I ordered an original burger with no cheese and small fries. The fries were hot and crispy just like I like them. They had the right amount of salt. The burger was cooked to perfection very tasty. I would definitely order a burger from there again even though I liked the fries I prefer fresh cut fries so I will most likely skip the fries next time. read more

It is quite spacious which is very nice for when I just want to be alone. I ordered through UberEats with my Uber credit so I interacted minimally with those who were working. I'm thoroughly impressed. First Shake Shack experience and everything was delicious. Came on a Sunday evening for dinner and it wasn't very busy. My only complaint is that there is no posted menu and you can only order through the tablet kiosks which I find annoying. If I'm coming out, I would like to order through a person. Otherwise, I could Door Dash. I got the Shack Stack, lettuce wrapped and it was fantastic. I also had a few sips of my friends shake, which immediately made me regret not ordering my own. Then you put your number so they text you when your order is ready while your waiting at your table. The burgers are simple but you can customize the toppings to your liking. This location is clean, the service is friendly, and the manager was there on that particular day to help out the line. As a regular shack shake customer of multiple locations, this one was the busiest by far on a Saturday afternoon. Took 15 minutes to get food understandably. It seemed empty from the outside due to the window blinds but it was down so that the sun doesn't get into the customer's eyes which I highly appreciate. Burgers are expensive but are great quality. Came for the HotOnes promo but still prefer the shake stack. Fries aren't the best in the fast food kingdom. Shakes aren't as thick as other fast food places and aren't much to write home about. The fried chicken's breading was coming off and wasn't as crispy as it could have been. read more

This Shake Shack is part of the inclusion of eateries normally found further north in the DMV area to Hampton Roads. Now that some of the "Oooh, I gotta have me some Shake Shake" frenzy has died down, I decided to grab lunch while waiting on the pooch to be groomed nearby. There is parking for those who'll dine in, grab and go and the occasional person who's deemed him/herself special and park anywhere. Upon entry, you can put your order in via kiosk or by going to the counter and doing it the old fashioned way by talking to a person. A 10% military discount is available for those with proper identification. You can't apply the military discount from the kiosk, only w/a cashier. Plenty of seating in the dining area and when the weather permits you can dine outside on the patio. Although they serve alcohol, it is frowned upon to walk about Town Center with your drank in your cup. Tables and bathrooms were well stocked and clean. The space is open and inviting. The price point for some of the items may be considered pricey but it is tasty. If in the area, this is a solid choice and I'd dine here again. read more

Husband had the avocado chicken sandwich, he loved it! I had the chicken shack and it was soooo delicious. Our daughter had the shack burger, it's her favorite! The cheese fries were ok. The regular fries were delicious as always (: The fifty/fifty kiwi apple limeade drink was good but a bit sour for me, husband loved it though. 10/10 recommend! I was so excited to come here. We had one back in Maryland and they made the best burgers. As excited as I was, I honestly wasn't super impressed with our visit here. Finding a parking spot looks like it could be a challenge but we actually happened to find one. We ordered togo because my kids weren't having it and I can say we waited a reasonable time. They have iPads that you can order on but if you want to utilize their military discount you have to order up front with a team member. I got a burger and my husband got a chicken sandwich. My burger was just, okay. It made me sit there and really think if this was just a fluke or I'm remembering incorrectly. The burger just wasn't flavorful at all, and I felt it was fairly greasy. I wasn't impressed and I'm pretty let down. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and it was still good to him after our 20-25 minute drive home. The fries were hot and crunchy and my kids enjoyed those.
