One star because you have to rate. Would have given more stars because the food is good but today I am rating the customer service. Its 6:22pm and I guess asking questions is not allowed. Today is two for Tuesdays and all my we did was ask if the roast beef sandwitch was included in the offer since it is the same price as the other subs included. Some ppl have stuff going on at home etc but when you work in customer service you put that phoney smile on and keep it moving. Answering with an attitude is rude. Hope her day gets better. Gonna wait on the food because he already paid for it but if he hadn't would have told him to just pull off. If it was ke I would have walked after she responded. I can spend my money somewhere that wants customers.

Accidentally put that this place is expensive, but it's not! Less than $10 for most sandwiches. Been coming here religiously since I found this place and I'm never disappointed. Their sandwiches are HUGE, soooo worth eating out for subs. Friendly staff, awesome food, and hometown vibes. They also have a delicious selection of sides! Chicken nuggets & mac & cheese bites are to die for! If you live in Virginia Beach or are just passing by don't forget to stop here!

Open signs yet grill off before close?

They close at 9:30 and I get there at 9:20 and the grill is already off...I understand you want to get off but if your not working until close you're cheating the customer....even the open sign is on but the grill is off?

Can you eat TWO 12" HOT meatball subs? Can you eat them in UNDER 30 minutes? Not leaving a crumb or splotch of sauce on the paper plate? Do you enjoy watching the endless stream of traffic pass by on First Colonial Road while you eat? Do you like refill after refill of Root Beer in a styrofoam cup with little, round ice balls in it? If you've answered NO to any of these questions, then go to your silly new age tofu salad restaurant and shut up. I'll be at Zero's shoving food into my face hole. Burp.

My Philly cheesesteak was anorexic. Very skimpy on the meat and peppers, mostly bread. Shrinkflation strikes again. I wont go there again.

I…read moredo work around this area and had been curious about Yorkie's for a while; about a month ago I had the opportunity to stop in. It's kind of like Taste in that it's like a Hip And Trendy Sandwich Spot - the staff is mostly perky, cool, and very competent college students - and the prices are about on par with Taste as well, but for what you get here, it's probably double the value of what you can get there. I got their tuna melt, which stuck with me for long enough that it had me craving another sandwich like that when I was in the area again. So today I was in the area again and I brought a friend, who also got the tuna melt and loved it. The thing about that sandwich is that they probably put about a half pound of bluefin tuna salad on it, and it's not mayo or filler-heavy. It's very tuna-forward, which is a plus to me. This time I got the Kevin's Bday, which was turkey, bacon, cheese, LT with this amazing garlicky green onion aioli, because honestly I was like, "Well, the tuna melt was really good. But what about just a Normal Ass Sandwich??" Both those sandwiches come on thick toasted (I think potato?) sandwich bread and my god it was all SO delicious. Again, the portion was enough for two meals, and it was just a turkey sandwich! The turkey was super succulent too. One small detail i really appreciated was that I believe they cut their tomatoes on the slicer as well; they're incredibly thin, and they add a lot to the sandwich without overpowering it. Also their tots are unreal. Sorry for rambling. I'm very passionate about sandwiches apparently. All I'm saying is that if you're at the oceanfront and you're trying to pick a sandwich place, it should be this one.

It was definitely busy during the lunch rush, but worth the wait. The dish was so good! The lemon zest really brightened everything up and kept it from feeling too heavy despite the Caesar dressing, tots, and fried chicken. It added a depth of flavor I wasn't expecting and absolutely loved. At $18 (+ an additional $2 for a can of diet coke), it's a little pricey IMHO, but I'd order it again without hesitation because it's that good. Yorkie's is such a cute spot, the staff was friendly, and while parking can be a bit sparse around lunchtime, it's worth it. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!

It's the perfect combination of sweet, tangy, and open gooey deliciousness! Today, Baker's Crust catered breakfast at my office, and I was excited to see a table overflowing with bagels and cream cheeses. It was like Christmas morning for carb lovers! Unfortunately, none of the bagels or cream cheeses were labeled. My excitement quickly turned into confusion when I took a big bite of what I was sure was my beloved strawberry cream cheese... only to discover it was definitely not strawberry. And let's just say an onion bagel paired with the wrong cream cheese is a combination I wouldn't recommend. The food itself was great, but a little labeling would go a long way. A simple sticker or note on the bottom of each cream cheese container and small tent cards identifying the bagel flavors would save future customers from accidental flavor roulette. Still a fan, but next time I'd like to know whether I'm biting into strawberry bliss or an unexpected onion surprise! For a side note it's so easy to order online for a quick stop on the way to work. Perfect every time!!!

It is fully shaded which was nice considering we had some young kids with us. Service staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks were delivered very fast by the bartender. 2nd rounds were offered prior to the drinks being empty which shows good serving habits. The serving portions were very plentiful and played very well on the brunch theme! Burger was cooked medium well but still very juicy with a delicious mayo based sauce. The chicken and biscuit was juicy and the biscuit was flaky and delicious. It would have served the dish well TJ have a little more syrup. I also loved the unique hash tots. I was simply visiting from out of state so I won't return, but I'd encourage you to! They are also included on Resy so be sure to book there or use a Resy credit if you have it!

I ended up on the combo of their soup and salad since their soup also sounded good. I was hesitant on the strawberries in the wine country salad since I know they're not in season really, but they were lovely. Everything in the salad worked well together and the dressing was nice and vinegary while still tasting of raspberries. It was very well balanced except for the ratio of toppings to greens. I feel as though there was just a little too much toppings. It could've used more leafs. As for the soup, it was a little bland, but after adding salt and pepper it tasted nice. It was mostly soup rather than crab or corn though. That was my only critique really, the temperature was good as well. It could've used some crackers on the side, but it wasn't necessary, just would've been a nice touch. Our waitress was quite nice, checked up on us and got us refills. All of our food came out together and hot. The sandwiches on other people's plates all looked wonderful, and after having a shoestring fry, I can definitely say next time I will be ordering some of those. As far as ambiance goes, it was nicely lit but still moody, which was appreciated. Very chill in there. Only reason I rate it 3 stars is because I feel as though there's room for improvement food wise, and price wise. $20+ for almost everything on the menu is pretty ridiculous. Even for some of the simple items. I don't think the food is that good, proportionately appropriate, or creative to be that much money. Maybe it's just me, but that's how I feel. I'll probably be back to try more items, I'd recommend coming here at least once to try if you haven't, during happy hour to get the best prices if you can.
