Usually I come here with no issue, today I came here and there were over 10 people just in the lobby waiting on an order.....the person making the food was slow. I am not sure if she is new but even if that was the case it seemed like something was wrong. It seemed like they didn't enjoy their job or did not want to be at work. I don't expect people to be throwing food in the air and working very quickly, but I do expect some type of quickness when there's many people waiting. I went in to cash in some loyalty points, for my birthday, and was blown away with the pleasant staff AND the premium sandwich! It was my first time trying their Tuna on their Rosemary Parmesan bread with lettuce tomatoes oil salt & pepper oregano and mayo, and boy was I surprised. It was Delicious. When I got the hoagie home, I opened it, removed the lettuce and put it under the broiler to toast the Roll and melt the added American cheese. I reassembled the sandwich and enjoyed. Went today in a rush for work. Staff was super quick and worked well together. One lady in front of me had a meltdown because the GM Dakota instructed her that having extra meat on her sub would cost more. She flipped out on him for no reason and held up the entire line. He handled it better than I would have and was always super nice to her while she yelled at him. Let me preface this with the fact that I love Jersey Mike ever since I had my first club sun at ECU in the 90's and routinely have a thousand plus shore points. Today has tarnished that feeling. I ordered delivery through the JM app as I am home sick and JM was the desired comfort food. The wrong order was dropped off. As it is through the JM app, I have no contact info for anyone but the JM store. I called to get it fixed and am told I have to bring the wrong order that was dropped off to the store to do anything. I again advised that I could not as I was sick and that is why I ordered delivery. The manager advised it was doordash's problem and they had to refund (for which they had no payment info as it was through JM app). 30+ minutes of phone calls with the store and general DoorDash, the store telling DoorDash to go through customer service, I still have no sun and no refund with a tarnished opinion of JM that has been built over 20+ years and multiple states. As I'm looking at the very broad menu I was impressed I was on the phone with my mother asking her has she had jersey mikes before. I then walk up to the counter about to place my order, and I was directed my a gentleman with a man bun to get off my phone and then he would help me. I am actively in the military and I was very disappointed in fact he wouldn't help me because I was on the phone, as neither myself or my mom have been to this establishment. I haven't been to this franchise before but if you all have a policy that coustomers can't be served while they on the phone, That should be posted. In that moment I felt profiled and left the establishment. Felt that he didn't care about my civil rights I was embarrassed. The "regular" size looked like a six inch, girly got that. I'm a growing boy so I got the "giant".. I can't figure out the size difference because that thing was a monster! Their size differences remind me of Goldilocks and The Three Bears.. this ones too small, this ones too big, but the problem is that there is no just right. I made a huge error getting the oil/vinegar, the vinegar blew my hair back it was so tart. I scraped everything off and just ate the meat/cheese/bread. The establishment was clean and pretty, but I just couldn't enjoy the food while I was dwelling on the $30 bucks I would never get back. Maybe we were just in grumpy moods or something. Will not be making another trip back to this place again. Tonight me, my wife, and son went into this establishment to try and get some food. Granted it was an hour before closing, but that shouldn't matter. So when ordering the food, the lady with colorful was extremely rude to my wife. Because of the mask my wife wasn't sure if she heard her ask for pickles and jalapeños on the side, so when my wife asked again, she snapped at her stating "I'm working on it!!" , then rolled her eyes. Now I was going to leave it alone, but my wife was very upset about it, all she wanted to do was make sure that she was heard. So when I went to talk to the manager about it, he basically had not much to say. However she had plenty to say, and wanted to continue to run her mouth, all the while the "manager" let this continue on without saying anything. Now i am still very partial to our local Boston establishment called chacarero for my best and fav sandwich but Jersey mikes really did a good job. Lets get the bad part and the 2 missed out star of the way and that was for the bad employee who made my sub and took the order. He was angry at people coming in 1/2 hr before closing time and he was tired. He made my sub very badly and used produce that was bottom of pan in the juices like the tomatoes when the other good employee already bought out a fresh pan filled with nice looking slice tomatoes. So totally ruined the whole experience now the food part. I got a Philly chicken cheese sub on a giant size roll which was i believe 16 inches with cheese. I had it done the jersey mike's way which is oil, vinegar and oregano with all the regular sandwich veggies. Man the jersey way is the way to go and you have to ask for it since some sub dont come default with it but ask as it is worth it. The bread was very good and the meat and cheese were pretty good. We were in a hurry i downed it like crazy but boy oh boy it was good but i felt there was not enough chicken on the sub and have a feeling the guy was pissed to he left out the qty of chicken that actually should be in there well none the less i loved it but unfortunately the customer service experience really dampened the mood as this sub could have been even better. It's not all of the employees at this location but a couple that need custom service lessons. Located next to Five Guys Burgers in a lot near Burger King on Lynnhaven Pkwy and Viking Drive. Hot subs are made on the grill. This location is great for a stop on the way to work. Last couple of times I've ordered online, which is quick in and out, orders have been accurate subs were great. The other day I decided on two menu items hot and cold. I ordered the Chipotle cheese steak with bacon as a wrap and the super sub done Mike's way. Food was good, but you will need napkins. The wrap dripped on my work shirt. Luckily I cleaned that up, dripping good. Mike's way, also napkins recommended, other than that good. I'll go here for a change of pace and for something hot off the grill. I was excited to see Jersey Mike's in the Lynnhaven area. I have been a fan since the first time I had the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. The problem with that is...I won't try anything else! I don't want to spoil it. This particular location has it's ups and downs. I've been here 4 times, and 2 of those times my cheese steak has been on point. Neither time was the food or the service bad, but I like to think that I've become a master of the Big Kahuna, and something was off. I'm not trying to go off someone else's review, but could Rick have a point here? I'm going to save the judgement and give them the benefit of the doubt. Just wanted to give a shout out to the two guys working tonight. While we waited in line we saw them deal with not one, not two, but three kind of shitty customers. There was the middled aged couple who had something to say about every step of the sandwich making process. I was kind of expecting the smell of freshly baked bread but that wasn't the case here. We ordered our sub's I ordered the normal size my husband ordered the giant one. My chicken Philly was just ok. It was really wet so the bread fell apart easily. My husband ordered the regular Philly and liked it but didn't love it. The prices were good considering the size of the sub and amount of meat included. The customer service was average. There was someone cleaning the dining room floor but some of the tables were in need of a wipe down. But overall the restaurant was clean. read more

I had never been to a Jersey Mike's before, went there because my employer had given me a coupon for a free sub. I ordered the Philly chicken and cheese sub, I able to watch as the girl behind the counter prepared my sub on a griddle, cooking and chopping the chicken, peppers and cheese, with her long curly crazy hair, I was concerned about it getting in my food. She did have on gloves, but her hair should have been better controlled for preparing other peoples food. I work with food and I wear a hair net. With hair like hers she should have been a least wearing a hat. When I got the sub home I checked it carefully for any hair in it, didn't see any so I felt it safe to eat. I did heat it up more to toast the bread in my toaster oven. It was just a good as any other sub, but after reading some of the reviews here about the price, I don't think I would going back unless a have a free coupon. read more
