I never pictured myself leaving a review for a computer issue. Usually, you take your computer in, get it fixed, and go home- that's it. When I called FireLogic, that was not the case. My 15 year old son had built a gaming PC, but when he got a new computer part for his birthday and changed it out with the old part, the computer stopped working. Many days, tears, and YouTube videos later, my son was distraught and the computer was in pieces all over my dinner table. Try as he might, this computer was not going to work! I did not know what to do. I probably couldn't afford to hire a professional. Unfortunately, my son needed his computer for school work as well. Someone on Facebook shared the name and number for FireLogic. I was at a loss for what to do next, so with little hope for a resolution, I called. When I explained my problem, I was told I would get a callback. That is when things changed. Derrick, the owner of the company, literally took over my son's issue. He personally put the computer back, solved the problem, and walked my son through everything, so he would understand. The problem was bigger than anticipated, but he did not charge me for the extra time.I have never seen such patience and kindness. I mean he really took time to make sure my son knew everything he should do moving forward. Derrick was quick to offer updates as he was working on the computer. Last week I was using my laptop and the screen suddenly went black. A flashing statement in large type appeared saying the computer was crashing and could not be used. A loud voice kept repeating that message. I could not turn the computer off or silence the voice. A phone number appeared saying I needed to call it for help. Instead, I called FireLogic. I was quickly put through to a technical dispatcher who listened to my problem and connected me to a technician named Danny. Danny was familiar with the particular virus, he told me where it came from and said he knew how to deal with it. He was calm and knowledgeable and walked me through what to do. Within about ten minutes the laptop system was restored. Danny made sure my anti-viral system was still intact. He suggested that even though everything looked fine I should put the laptop through a complete viral check. I did that after we hung up. Two hours later he called just to be sure the viral check had not revealed any problems. FireLogic is an excellent company. I recommend them highly. read more

Firelogic was instrumental in helping me set up my small business and in the beginning they were great! I know it's in poor taste to write poorly about others, but once we became an established client, our service suffered. We had to use their less experienced techs to try to resolve our problems and they did not get resolved until the reps we wanted got involved. We also needed them to help expand our office. I asked for a quote in July so I could prepare. Our install was mid October. In September I checked in on the status and nothing was even started. By the time they sent me a quote it was close to install time so when I noticed discrepancies on the quote, they quoted me 3k more money than originally. My home desktop computer was very slow and monitor was unresponsive. I called Firelogic and they suggested that I bring the computer in to their office so they could diagnose the problem. They ran a complete diagnostic and determined that the hard drive was failing. I purchased a new computer and they transferred all data and programs from my old hard drive to the new computer. I asked for all desktop icons and favorites folders and certain applications to be transferred. We also reviewed some software on the old computer that I was not using and determined that software could be removed. Everyone I dealt with was professional and answered all my questions. The new computer worked perfectly . All programs, folders and favorites were transferred per my request. They are the best and their charges for services were very reasonable. He set up a brand new network in our home (no Easy job and goodbye Comcast!) -and while here, even checked and replaced antiquated cables that no other IT Specialist has ever even looked at! Not sure which ultimately meant more - his total knowledge of all issues related to IT set-up and functions - or his Extreme patience when attempting to explain everything relating to the new network and/or problems corrected with our computers! Took my computer in to get fixed with connection issues to the Internet. Was told my computer was working. Paid $50 for them to do a diagnostic check and since I declined their $95 an hour service. That work was not guaranteed. That is where they get you. Got home turned on my computer and guess what? No connection! Wasted money and still no fix. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

If there was a "minus" star I would have given to this business. Yes, they get you by not being transparent about their charges.They removed a simple virus on my computer, charged me $340.00, found out later that other local computer gigs would have charge me $75.00. Outrages!, never use them for any of your computer needs. When I picked up my computer, I paid the full amount but I was not informed that I had 7 days to check if everything was working. That info was included in papers they gave me in small print. When I noticed that my printer was disconnected I called them and again they did not mention that it was after 7 days and that will be a charge, instead they directed me to be able to connect my printer through internet and they send me a bill in the mail for n$42.00. I called them with the above explanation but they told me it was written in the papers they gave me with the receipt and they send me to a collection agency. Awful costumer service. I first found out about this company thru a free Windows seminar (@ Pk Ridge Library), which I found about about in a in a coffee shop posting (this was a couple yrs ago).. I attended, & thought it was very thorough/informative. Fast forward 2 yrs, I have an old lappie that won't turn on, & they fixed for me,(wrong power supply part, obtained from _____ diff chain store) letting me know that it's in it's final stage of life, which I already had an idea of, but great for the reminder. (Had to do a bit of digging to find them, I had forgotten their name, but the library gave it to me Side note: I had previously brought this machine in to ______ (chain store) & they just tried to turn it on, telling me it was already dead & gone. Now, recently, I brought in a newer lappie, which I thought may have had malware.. They checked it thoroughly, & let me know it did not, but had another prob which they fixed.
