Was staying in town overnight with my family and was looking for a place to eat. This was recommended by some locals. We got here and the place reminded me of an outdated Time Machine its was old Italian decor. We were greeted by the host with a smile. All of the servers were kind, friendly & attentive, that's the only reason why they're getting two stars. We ordered a kids cheese pizza, chicken Parmesan, and a sausage pasta. The food came out, omg it was horrible, and watery. And the chicken parm was over cooked and the pasta was so bland. The sausage pasta was watery and did not have any seasoning. The cheese pizza sauce was not a typically red sauce tasted like a can sauce. Definitely not good food here, but excellent servers. This place needs help with remodeling, menu and chef upgrades. Also, our bill was $75 so ridiculous for the quality of this food. Gross and a rip off. read more

Enjoyed dinner here with friends last night for the first time. Service was attentive and friendly. We all got different items, from meatballs to a grilled chicken salad. I ordered the chicken parm and found it to be okay. It was a little on the small size but was cooked well enough. I do think the decor could use a modern refresh, as the painted "stone" and "vine" detail on the walls is a bit cheesy and outdated, in my opinion. read more

After dusk turned to dawn after working in the high mountain sun the one thing we both craved was a scratch made Italian meal that google promised us. As we drove into the parking lot bright umber kumquats welcomed us to old world Italy. Thee bright eyed host graciously showed us to our table even though we were tardy to our reservation - we had travelled a great distance winding through backroads lined with orchards of apples and almonds. Offered the choice of dinning room or neon lighted gladiator hall - we chose the former and fell into our seats in view of the chefs and gallant servers. After a mere 10 minutes water appeared at our table in clean glasses with cube of ice. Promises of bread were made. As dawn turned more to dusk and the moon rose over the sierras and orchards, neither bread nor server came to fruition. After beckoning the cheese boy we were able to request arancini, salad, two glasses of crisp Chardonnay , and Sean's special. More dusk came... The wine and salad arrived and appeased our hangry souls. Never has a Caesar tasted so Kraft fresh and then came the ten rolls. I swear you could taste the thawck and pop of the pillsburry tube in every biscuit-y bite. The cheese boy generously offered heaping spoonfuls of brownish minced garlic to accompany we don't know what? Perplexed, we politely declined. Finally as trumpets sounded and the leaning tower leaned a bit more our Sean's special pasta arrived. Never since the fall of Rome has Italy suffered a greater insult. We could've for $3 more, ordered the vodka sauce instead of the pink tinted cream. There was no cheese boy to save us. The redeeming ray of light was the in-dinner entertainment of observing two awkward teenagers on their third ( maybe second ) date. Silence...screen time ...silence. We have eaten here plenty of times over the years and the gaps between our visits keeps getting longer. Unfortunately we must have had amnesia tonight because we decided to eat here again. This is the worst that it's been. Smallest and toughest Chicken Parm on earth. It was the thinnest piece of chicken. The rest of our party didn't care for their meals either. We had some friends from out of town visiting and wanted to take them out for a nice dinner One of our friends ordered the meat raviolis after he was told he couldn't order half cheese and half meat raviolis so I ordered the cheese raviolis so we could share and have what we wanted. when we were served the (4) raviolis and split the orders and started eating we realized that they served us two orders of cheese ravioli. my wife told the server and the server said that it was hard for her to take it back because we had been eaten them. So some how it was our fault, there was six of us the food is not that good and the service was not good. bottom line is no attempt was made to make us feel better or to rectify their error we can not recommend this restaurant and we will not be back read more

Omg, got here after lunch crowd with only a protein dream. I asked waitress for her thoughts, Bailey was so awesome, she asked me to hold as she had other customers and I had my beverage in hand! I asked for the cooks choice and Roger sent me the best Burger with everything just right. The egg today made a smile for not just me but all who witnessed my delight! First off, I want to say that there was good service here, so I hope this restaurant keeps this up. Plus, the restaurant has really nice vibes and decor. Stars were docked off for food quality and cleanliness. I visited with my husband and his brother one weekend and we were seated quickly and given some bread appetizers. I ordered a minestrone soup and shrimp ravioli, and it tasted only okay and not super flavorful. My husband and his brother thought the food was only okay too. I ended up noticing some hair on one of my husband's plates, and I also had to rub off some scruff marks on one of mine. As nice of an ambiance the restaurant has, the bathroom looked a bit run down and there was actually no handsoap. I wanted to let the lady at the front desk know but did not see anyone there for a few minutes. Anyways, I don't think we'll come back anytime soon, but we were glad to try this place out. read more

Best birthday dinner, the food was delicious the service is great and it was just a pleasant treat.

In February our car club reserved a Sunday for about 30 members, (we had done this several times over the last couple of years). We were told that we are not allowed to order off the menu and that a limited menu would be supplied (this is not unusual for large groups). A menu was supplied along with pricing; we were also told that we could not have individual checks. The person coordinating this went along with all of this because we really liked the restaurant and it is hard to find places that can handle large groups. Upon arrival everything went fine we proved our choices and paid our treasurer our bill. The food came out burnt and not hot. When we finalized the Bill, it was off by $50, we contacted the restaurant and were told that prices had changed, we had been notified of this, the owner basically said tough. Our club because of this attitude has decided to not go back to Firenze. read more

I was looking for an authentic italian restaurant in town and i came across this place on google. I have to rate it 2-3 stars. I had a pasta dish think it was called Michelangelo. I could be wrong it was pasta with a wine lemon sauce . Noodles were chewy and rubber, scallops chewy . Shrimp was good but overall the dish needs some love. Bread was good and soft and my Dr Pepper was great but wish my pasta has been at least semi okay. when the waitress took my order, it literally took five minutes for my food to come out and I think that alone says it all . I know from prior experiences not to order from here. Food was never good. My grandmother wanted salmon for dinner so I picked it up for her. I got dinner at Mexican place in town . She ordered salmon Italian style with white sauce and mashed potatoes with vegetables. Paid $34.68. And came with no salad or soup that's extra, which is ridiculous but it's wtv. She ate half her salmon last night. Then said she wasn't feeling good and wanted to go to bed so I saved for her. She tells me she feels like she had a fever and her stomach hurts. I checked she didn't have fever so I put her to bed . Then I come into her room to her throwing up all over herself! All over her bedding. This went on for a while. She was feeling great yesterday, not sick. She was sick all night. Pieces of salmon everywhere. She was choking on her vomit . This morning her stomach still hurts and she said I got sick from the salmon it had to be bad or old . I will never come back here . I'm putting pictures of my receipt also with pictures of what was left from her dinner last night. Staff are friendly. Food is just not good! read more

We had a nice dinner here two weeks ago. Service was great and food was good. It's nice to know that some restaurants remain consistent.

We had a group of 9 people who made a reservation 2 months ago. They sat us a noisy foyer - not meant for seating. It took a long time to get our meals and our food wasn't hot when served. The place was very busy with a bigger party in the room where I was told we'd be sat at the time we booked. Our server tried her best, but it couldn't make up for the crappy place we were sat & food which was sub par . None of us plan to be back! read more

A family friend recommended this restaurant and had planned to go so we decided to get our friend group together and have a nice dinner with everyone. A total of 4 families totaling a party of 22. They were able to accommodate our party size and we had a reservation for 6:00 so that was a plus. By the time we ordered before any food came is was nearing 7:30 which wasn't anticipated to be waiting 90 min for mostly kids meals. We were seated next to an EMPTY room in which I decided to take one of the walking babies and stretch his legs since we were waiting so long for our food. During the almost 90 minute wait, all the kids were behaving like kids do and were with their friends but never got up from the table unless using the restroom and the one time we took a lap in the empty room to stretch our legs...and we're talking a total of about 5-6 kids taking one lap in an EMPTY room near no other parties or disrupting any service. The OWNER decided that was too much and approached our table. When your party is half children and you're coming to what you thought was a "family" restaurant and you're being reprimanded for kids who were behaving well only getting up to use the restroom and one lap in an empty room, not a place I would ever go back to with my family again. Monday is Kids Eat Free, if you don't want children in your "family" restaurant then don't advertise that kids are welcomed. We are all very well respected members of our community and even in active duty serving our country. Even with the free kids meals still had 4 $100+ tabs that we paid, complete and utter disregard and disrespect to our families who were just out having a fun family dinner with our friends. All 22 of us have had many dinner experiences in Modesto and surrounding areas with NEVER a single problem in regards to our restaurant etiquette. I went here a couple of times over the years. They were pretty good. So the last two times I went, the food was unacceptable. I ordered a pasta primavera.It was so saucy usable to eat it. Today I went and I ordered stuffed mushrooms. The first one I believe were microwaved to the point of so soft and then add a ton of sauce on top of that, they were disgusting. The waitress said, would you like me to have him make you another one I said sure he didn't even cook the mushrooms. He put some filling in it. Put it under the heat lamp and served it unbelievable. I took him home since I paid over $17. I bake them and serve them to my husband. The filling was not flavorful at all until I added to it. I found it interesting that after the second plate was served, the cook came out and eyeballed our table. Well I hope he sees this review. At this point I don't feel I ever wanna go there again. We usually love this restaurant. I frequent this restaurant at least once a week. However, last night the service was not that great. I also found a hair in my salad. I did not make a fuss about it. However, when I was returning with the check the service said he would take $13 off of my bill of $140 Because of the hair. I thought that was ridiculous. I would've expected at least a new salad or the salad be reimbursed completely. Having a hair in your food is disgusting at least it wasn't a curly hair. read more

We went on Mother's Day at 4:00 to avoid the Mother's Day rush. Greeted with a smile by hostess. There was 8 of us in our party. Service: We were served with water and bread promptly upon our arrival. We had an awesome waitress name Grace J. Grace greeted us with a great smile and an energetic personality. Our waitress was excellent from start to finish. Grace was very pleasant and top notch. Food: Food choice was great but my husband loved their Lasagna but was not offered on their Special Mother's Day menu which was a disappointment. Food that was chosen was prepared with profection and delicious especially my Mother's Lobster and son's Ribeye.
