We just spent Mother's Day here and had lunch and so glad we did. Making reservations was simple to do. The place was packed with a gal playing wonderful music on a guitar. We were quickly seated to our table and what a great spot it was. We had our Granddaughter and there was an adorable playhouse out there for her to play with which she truly enjoyed. For appetizers we had the jalapeno artichoke dip, fried artichoke hearts, and the stuffed mushrooms. My goodness each one full of flavor and great presentation. For our meals we selected the mushroom prosciutto truffle pizza and classic pepperoni, again incredible taste. The servers were so busy taking care of everyone and did such a great job for how spread out everyone is. It was very intimate and we enjoyed the afternoon. We had our 25th High School reunion here last weekend. It was the perfect spot for 50 friends, to gather and reminisce. Angela, Ashleigh and team, were amazing. There was plenty of food, seating and natural decor. We shut the place down and moved to a bar near by to close out the night. Price per person included the patio out back, food, drinks and service (gratuity not included). There was a fire pit, bocce pit and so many intimate seating settings. Ok this place is a little bit of a hidden gem on your way to or coming home from Yosemite/Groveland area. Giving them a 4 instead of 3 because of their efforts in really trying to be a cool vibey spot for something off the beaten path. The outdoor space was very cute and I appreciate them trying to make it "Instagramable." Food/drink wise, we ordered a white wine flight, a red wine flight, a Margherita pizza, and sautéed mushrooms. What a gem in Oakdale. While it was a slow night, the ambience was chill and inviting. It was a little slow to bring our food, but it didn't bother us too much. We came with another couple and we all agreed on our opinion of this establishment. Everything was tasty. Dessert was the only thing I would not order again. Our wine selection was great. Best part of this business is the beautiful back seating area. Sat at out table for over 1/2 hr and had to go ask for our waitress to come to our table only to be told she was just there to take drink order and not food or apps. I can not believe i haven't been here!! It really has a darling outdoor ambiance. The arugula salad with Meyer lemon oil was delish. I would have liked more Parmesan cheese or better yet gorgonzola. The Pizza was ok for $20!! Ordered the Margarita. there was maybe 3-4 pieces of cheese at best. I think for $20 each slice should have some cheese on it. There was only one gal working and she had to really hustle to cover the grounds by herself. And she was amaaazing! If it wasn't for her i would give only 3 stars. Yelp, Google, the sign on the door, EVERYTHING said they are open Sunday from 10:00 to 4:00 with no required reservation. I drove all the way from Woodland to go there with my daughter and enjoy a nice day and they were closed. No note on the door, no nothing online, they apparently just decided not to be open today. This place is amazing. The service was great, the atmosphere is magical and it's a perfect place to take a date somewhere nice for dinner by a bonfire outside with a bottle of wine. Plus, there are different areas where you can sit that have a bit more privacy away from other people. I have gone here a couple of times now and have not found another place like this in the Oakdale area. Menu....diverse and good prices. We sparked up a conversation with the husband wife owners. REALLY nice people. Plus their grown kids work there too. I say kids because if your in your 20's....your a kid! My grandfather always called me kid as a compliment. My short videos don't give justice to the patio. You have to see it in person. Came the other night with a friend for a glass of wine and appetizers . Such a cute place! We sat outside by the wood burning oven . Very homey feeling . Felt like I was in a friends backyard. I love that they have blankets on every table in case you get cold . The waitress was very nice. And I believe I met the owner and she was great as well. My husband made a same day reservation here on Saturday and it was absolutely wonderful! We came from Manteca to get away from all the Maskers and have a normal day. The outside was beautifully arranged and peaceful as there was hardly anyone here. The weather was also perfect! Everyone was friendly and we ordered a couple bottles of the Rose' champagne. For the price point, we felt like it was a very nice bottle. Our waitress also brought an ice bucket, so it didn't get warm in the sun. If there was a way to do no star, I would. Disgusted by the service, by the treatment of the owners. Afraid they may have been intoxicated while running their operations. My party made a reservation for 8 people, a week in advance. We happily enjoyed the company of our friends, spent near $500 combined & complained not once. Our server handed our bottles of wine to us, leaving us to pour ourselves. Had no knowledge on the wines of the menu, informed us what we wanted to order would back up their kitchen, & told us we couldn't order in a "appetizer first, dinner to follow" fashion as each dish is served to each table as it's made. People who came after us, got their dishes first. My dinner came before my appetizer..... I could go on. Most of all, we weren't upset by any of it, we said nothing as we were excited to be with friends POST quarantine. After paying our separate bills, one member of our party went to use the restroom at which time the OWNER felt compelled to let him know he didn't appreciate us not tipping well. After he returned to our group, we discussed our individual tips & realized, combined we tipped 20%. We then asked the owner to come discuss his feeing with our whole group. Him & his wife (who both look & act like Jersey Shore characters from 2002) walked up to our table, threw his arms up and said "you got something to say" We proceeded to ask what we did wrong, especially having tipped the industry standard for good service... even though the service was subpar. At this point, the told us we had to leave and physically grabbed beer from the hands of one of us. The rest left full glasses of wine. The scene these owners made was so awkward & completely embarrassing. I will say our group consisted of 2 doctors, 2 LEO's, 3 professionals & a myself, a small business owner. We were kind, understanding, supportive & caused no problem whatsoever. As a matter of fact, when I tried ordering a large meat & cheese tray as a starter for my group i was told it was going to slow down the kitchen... so instead I opted for menu options that our server felt wouldn't slow their kitchen down. Lastly, if like to mention that the owners in their unprofessional rants- mentioned to us, our tip wasn't sufficient because the servers have been out of work for 3 months (due to covid) and that they don't even receive all of their tips. Appalled is an understatement, wait staff deserves 100% of the tips they receive as this is usually earned based on the service they provide. Additionally, when was it expected to tip more that 20%? Food, service and ambiance, this place has it all. We stopped on a car ride from the Bay to the foothills with a two and four year old and I can't imagine a better stop. The kids could run around, play in the playhouse, play bocce ball etc and we weren't worried they would break anything or bother anyone. The outside garden ambiance is so charming with strung lights and beautiful greenery and flowers. Lots of thought has been put into the wine bar and small covered patio area and it has a whimsical Alice in Wonderland feel too it. So cute for an event or a girls night (fantasizing about time to myself ). We ordered Mamas meatballs and a margarita pizza and both were fantastic and so fun to watch be cooked in the outdoor, wood-fired oven. I was hoping to be able to give a good rating to this homey place. I came for dinner with lots of friends and the sign of the restaurant is super dark so I got lost for a little bit. But you can tell it's the restaurant because of all the bulbed light decor around the restaurant. The entrance in the front is super cute. All the seating and dining area is in the back. They have a ton of heated lamps and lights. Also each table has blankets to hang out in. What was disappointing for me was the lack of items to order off the menu. Also, they lacked a lot of non-alcoholic drinks. There were no ice tea like it said on the menu. They had izze drinks, those are, in my opinion, not good. The water which was provided was I'm sorry to say the worse I have ever tasted at a restaurant. I couldn't even use it to help me swallow down my food. Everyone at my table that had a pizza which was about 7-8 pizzas loved their pizza. Just one mistake was that our server tried to memorize and forgot two pizzas. But that was a quick fix since there were no other customers there. I happen to get the artichoke dip, it was good, but for $9 it was like 4-5 bites and it was gone. As for the little red sauce they served with it, not good at all. The chips tasted like chips from a bag. I was slightly expecting fresh fried chips. As for my chicken salad. The chicken was dry. There was no flavor to the salad besides the bites of artichoke. And the dried tomatoes were hard to chew on. At almost the end of my meal I ate a couple pieces of salad that were slimy. Yikes.
