Absolutely LOVE my new fireplace. They did an amazing job from start to finish in the design process and really helped me get the fireplace makeover that our house needed! The quality of materials is great (at least the ones I selected because their selection is huge!) I only have a complaint with their installers (which they sub out I think) our installer cut some bricks inside our home which was pretty unprofessional because it made a huge mess that they did not clean up - this could have been done a few feet away on the back deck outside. They also left some scrap metal (which was quite sharp) in our side yard after cutting it for us to clean up and dispose of - again pretty unprofessional. The installers do not come from Fireside so I only took one star off because in all other ways the experience was a good one. read more

I bought a wood burning fireplace from them. was delivered on time they made sure my contractor had all the necessary accessories (flu pipe, cold air kit chimney air kit etc. ) Arnold stove was a great resource for helping my contractor with the install. they answered any and all questions promptly and are very customer oriented. one big bonus is it's a veteran owned small business! Buyers beware! No service after the sale. Owned my logs for 5 years. Couldn't even use them two seasons because the thermocouple kept failing. Fireplace wouldn't start. Salesmen refused to talk to us because customers were in the store. Got mad after 5 calls over a month. The owner called back screaming at me since we had to get mad to get a call back. He said he'd personally come out and look at it. He never did. Hired another company to fix them. Logs were crumbling and broken... turning to sand. They couldn't get the unit to start. The logs/fire were way too big for our small fireplace and should have never been installed. Overheating caused the damage to the logs and thermocouple. Had to get the whole unit trashed and paid another company to install a new set. DO NOT RECOMMEND! They sold me a lemon and refused to fix it.t read more

We've wanted to do something with our unused fireplace for a while and finally decided to get gas logs to help spruce up the living area and warm it up a bit. Our shopping experience was great and we felt educated on all of our options thanks to the non-commissioned sales staff. We brought our kids in to place the order and I was nervous since things like that can sometimes take a while and lead to antsy kids but the ordering process was very quick and easy and the kids even got to feed Blaze the dog some treats. The installation went smoothly and they were done quickly. They cleaned up after themselves and even cleaned the floor since some of the road salt was tracked in. Arnold really isn't that far from St. Louis....I think I got there in about 15 minutes from Downtown. I wanted to surprise my husband by getting him a BIG GREEN EGG!!! If you don't know what that is....you should just Google it. He has been salivating over his friend's BGE for a few years now and we've always wanted to get one. I called ahead and they had one all set up for me. The showroom is just beautiful....all sorts of hearths, gas and electric, all assembled in several room decors so that it's easy to imagine it in your own home. Most of their fireplaces/stoves look like a work of art. They also sell all sorts of grills and outdoor firepits. They have a huge counter where you can sit and discuss your purchase while seeing your invoice on a monitor...very professional looking. I was greeted immediately and got to work with the guy who I talked to on the phone. He was very friendly and helpful w/o being pushy or "salesman like". After getting my grill ready, I pulled up my car to a huge garage they have on the side...my salesman and another guy who worked there somehow got that grill into my backseat!!! I don't know how they managed since it was VERY VERY HEAVY and they said that they normally don't do things this way but I didn't have much choice since I didn't clean out my car at all...sigh. We just LOVE our BGE and our whole purchasing eggsperience at Arnold Stove and Fireplace and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! P.S. They also sell oak wood pellets very, very cheap in case anyone out there has a rabbit who has a litter box as all house rabbits should. read more

My gas fireplace I bought in 2008 needed a service call for a cleaning. I thought the worst since it wasn't igniting... like parts would need to be replaced. We had a ventfree gas log set. It started giving us problems after a few years. We did not like having inspections every year for the gas lines and chimney flue. We were so surprised Joan that worked there helped us with all we needed to get an electric fire place log set that looked as real as our gas one. The flames are great and there are options to make it look like a real fire or a gas log set with a blue light bottom option that looks like a gas set. It looks amazing and they capped of our chimney top that can be removed later if wanted. The unit provides heat optional and works with 110/120 V - or 240 V . Great on a hot day to enjoy a movie , a drink , and my wife enjoy the peaceful fireplace . We do not need to worry about grandkids around it when they visit. It is the 25" Revillusion model # RLG25. We picked up a bag of flat black ash looking rock to cover the rest of the bottom of the concrete floor inside the fireplace around the bottom flickering burning ash base provided with the set. No more yearly costs for inspections and can enjoy it in summer or winter. Joan was awesome to talk with and everyone involved were great. Great maintenance free way for us to go.
