We arrived at West Point Inn around 8:50 AM, 10 minutes before they even started serving pancakes, and the line was incredibly long. We were optimistic about how quickly it would move, and figured we'd probably wait an hour and half. Wrong! We didn't get our pancakes until 12:30 PM, so the wait ended up being 3.5 hours. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, but we were absolutely starving. I think their ordering system could've been a bit more efficient, since the menu options are so limited. They only have plain and blueberry pancakes (I chose blueberry) with a few sides, so having servers running the orders down seemed unnecessary. Cash and Venmo are accepted, but I recommend bringing cash because service up there is unreliable. The pancakes were pretty good, but my favorite part of the experience was easily the hummingbirds! They have several feeders up on the porch, and I'd never seen so many hummingbirds swarming at once. It was beautiful to watch, especially with the San Francisco skyline in the background. Overall, it's a wonderful event in theory, but not worth doing more than once.

We snagged a spot in the lower lot and it filled up within 10 minutes. It was definitely a hike, the first few miles weren't too steep, but the last mile I was fighting for my life. But once we were there, we hopped in line - which looked long, but it all moved quickly. All the volunteers working there were so friendly and warm. We ordered the pancake breakfast with sausage, and some coffee and hard boiled eggs. Definitely an experience! Glad I could check this off my bucket list! Eating pancakes in the mountains above the clouds will be a fond memory. 10/10 highly recommend!

It's located on the waterfront and each room has the perfect view of the ocean, looking out towards the city of San Francisco and the San Francisco Bay Bridge. All the shops and restaurants on Bridgeway St. are within walking distance of the Inn. It is also right next to the Ferry where you can purchase tickets for a ride into San Francisco. When you arrive, you are greeted at the gate of their private parking lot, where your car is safely stored during your stay. Check-in is always easy and all the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. They offer a Continental breakfast that is served buffet-style in their Drawing Room or you can have your breakfast delivered to your room for a $5 fee. Every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have wine, cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit for all guests in their Drawing Room. You can also arrange to have this delivered to your room as well. They had a silver tray on our table, with a white rose, a bottle of champagne, a box of Napa Valley chocolates, and a lovely card to welcome us. When we booked our stay, for this trip, we chose the City Lights Suite. The inside of the suite is beautiful, luxurious, immaculate, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I have an allergy to feathers. They made sure our pillows and bedding did not contain any down feathers. They had fresh, gorgeous orchids in the main part of the suite as well as the en suite bathroom. If you want to watch a movie, they have a huge catalog of DVDs, you can pick from, to watch in your room. They really go above and beyond to make your stay an unforgettable experience.
