Quiet, well located. Clean but a little run down, but I didn't come here to stare at the cracked grout all day. It's next to a CVS, across from a market, bike trails and marina. We spent the day out of the room and came back at the end of the day. If you need a decent place to hang out in the morning with your coffee before getting on w your vacay in Marin or Sausalito, this place is perfect. I just needed a quiet place with a comfy bed and easy parking. If you have no need for white robes, swim-up bars or Himalayan salt rubs to rest from a day of activity, then this play will meet your needs.

I would like to express some concerns regarding my stay from October 11th to October 12th, 2025. My girlfriend, Megan, and I checked into unit 102 without any problems; however, we found it unusual that the front desk did not provide us with a property map or a brief overview of the location of various areas. That night, as we prepared for bed, Megan discovered blood stains on the sheets, which was quite disturbing. Since it was too late to contact the front desk, we decided to address it the following morning. The next morning at 6:00 AM, I called the front desk, and they informed me that someone would be available at 7:00 AM. Instead of waiting for a callback, I chose to walk to the front desk. The same representative, Josh, who checked us in was there, and I informed him about the blood stains on the sheets. He requested that I take pictures and mentioned that he could offer a $200 discount due to the inconvenience. Later that day, I called the front desk again to request a late checkout. I spoke with Josh, who indicated that he needed to discuss something with me at my convenience. Megan and I went to the front desk to find out what Josh wanted to talk about. He stated that he could only provide a $100 discount because we had received multiple noise complaints. He claimed that someone had spoken directly to me about keeping the noise down, which I denied. I also questioned Josh's honesty regarding the noise complaints, as it seemed odd that he did not address it until the next morning or when we initially reported the stains on the sheets. I am very disappointed with how the staff managed this situation. David

We stayed here 3 nights for a staycation for Spring Break. Yes, even pre-schoolers get Spring Break, LOL! Overall a family friendly, clean, and comfortable stay. The Lodge is a 3-level motel-style facility with lots of big rooms and covered walkways on each level. It is located on the main road in Tiburon so super convenient walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Things we liked most: 1. Two comfy queen beds - everyone slept well for 3 nights. 2. Great breakfast restaurant attached to the lodge - Tiburon Tavern (separate Yelp review pending) 3. Attentive service - my 3yo son accidentally knocked my phone behind the heavy TV stand, which seems to be bolted to the carpet. They sent someone to our room with a metal rod which helped fish my phone back. They also fixed the elevator lighting after a day - before it was flickering and scary like in a horror movie. 4. Plentiful parking in the lot and free (no need to enter/leave with ticket through the gate). Areas for Improvement (most minor): 1. The gym is super tiny with just 3 ellipticals I think. a bench and set of dumbbells would have been nice! 2. I don't recall any free coffee in the lobby, but I did see hot water dispensers for tea. 3. The Lodge is a bit dated but everything is functional. Maybe future updates could be a room thermostat and maybe updated carpeting. 4. Our shampoo dispenser also didn't work well so we had to twist the nozzle and squeeze hard.

Blinds closed but the sunlight is still coming in! Not a good idea if you want plenty of rest.

Booked this stay through hotel tonight. $230 for 1 night during 4th of July. Service is good in the front desk, we were greeted promptly. We had happy hour at Tiburon tavern. The calamari and the sangria were awesome! We decided to swim in the afternoon. Small pool but it does the job, cute cabanas and the pool goes to 8 ft deep. Our room was a king size bedroom room 226. We didn't have a view but we didn't mind. My only input is that we could hear people walking upstairs! We could hear it very clearly. Even at night. We were disturbed during our sleep at 8:30am. Also they don't have black out curtains, they only had blinds. So the sun is beaming during the summer and we woke up early. Overall we would stay here again although we would probably request a room in the 3rd floor so we don't get bothered. Service was good, free coffee, and also plenty of parking.

Had a really nice day and really enjoyed the accommodations and the service and the restaurant and the entire Seaport Village of Tiburon. Josh and his team member Lavina made it great.

Newer wall tile, sloppy caulking job instead of proper grout

Overpriced for motel quality. The front desk staff is friendly; would give them 5 stars. However, even though the rooms seem updated with the furnishings, the rest of the remodel looks like it had an old bandaid shlapt on it. See photos.

We come to Sausalito at least once a year and always stay at the Inn Above Tide. All the rooms have their own private deck where you can relax with a glass of wine or champagne and take in the beautiful views of the city of San Francisco. All the shops and restaurants on Bridgeway St. are within walking distance of the Inn. It is also right next to the Ferry where you can purchase tickets for a ride into San Francisco. Every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have wine, cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit for all guests in their Drawing Room. You can also arrange to have this delivered to your room as well. When we arrived to our suite, they had a lovely anniversary surprise waiting for us inside. They had a silver tray on our table, with a white rose, a bottle of champagne, a box of Napa Valley chocolates, and a lovely card to welcome us. When we booked our stay, for this trip, we chose the City Lights Suite. The inside of the suite is beautiful, luxurious, immaculate, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. They also offered complimentary unlimited water, coffee, and tea, which was a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast was okay, but I wish there had been more variety and additional options to choose from. It was a nice perk, but expanding the selection would make it even better. The only downside is that the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. I think it has so much potential if the property were renovated, including the hallways, bathrooms, and guest rooms. With some updates, it could easily become an outstanding hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. While I don't think the property itself is quite at a 4- or 5-star level yet, the exceptional customer service certainly deserves 5 stars. The staff truly made the experience memorable. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location and outstanding staff make it worth coming back. That said, I would love to see the hotel add a small lobby gift shop with snacks, drinks, and travel essentials to make the experience even more convenient for guests. The property has so much potential to truly stand out with some thoughtful updates and renovations. I would honestly love to renovate the entire place because I can see how beautiful it could become. The complimentary cheese and wine hour was a wonderful touch and something I really enjoyed and others as well. As for the cookies, they were good but cheap, but I think it would be even more memorable if the hotel partnered with a local Marin County bakery to offer fresh, locally made cookies or pastries. Supporting a local business would give guests a true taste of the area while creating a unique experience they'll remember. Those little details are what make a hotel stand out, and guests are more likely to remember both the delicious treats and the hotel that introduced them to them.

I'm not a huge B & B fan even though we've stayed in a few. We arrived at the predetermined time and location. Said location being San Pablo Harbor which is located near Richmond. The harbor has plenty of parking and it is safe to leave your vehicle. We waited in a small seating area near the Sailing Goat restaurant. Soon, the rest of our fellow guests arrived. We all chatted for a bit before our boat arrived to take us to East Brother Island. The boat named Lucretia was manned by our hosts Dre and Charity. They loaded the six of us and our bags, four people had to stay behind to be picked up shortly thereafter. Getting to the island was an adventure. The ride took about ten minutes. The island the lighthouse sits on is only 3/4 of an acre. It has three structures on it, a water storage tank and a cistern that is only fed by rainwater. There is no water supplied from the mainland. The lighthouse is a stately old Victorian house with a lot of character. The inside is decorated with period pieces. The first floor holds two guest rooms, a bathroom, the gift shop, dining room, and the kitchen. The ONLY shower that is in the house is located in the bathroom which is only accessible from the dining room. The two guest rooms share that bathroom. The second door holds the parlor, game room, and two guest rooms. The rooms are named for their view. We stayed in the San Francisco room which had an incredible view from the bedroom window. It also had its own toilet and sink. The bed and linens were very comfortable. At 4 p.m. Dre rings a bell that summons everyone to the roundtable on the grounds for champagne and charcuterie. Then at six he rings it again for dinner. Dre is the chef and Charity provides the table service. For dinner we had tomato bisque, salad with strawberries and almonds, Coc Au Vin Blanc with saffron rice and green beans, and cheesecake for dessert. All of the food was really good. For breakfast we had Dre's homemade quiche with potatoes and toast. There really isn't much, if anything, to do on the island. It was nice to socialize with the other guests but at times I was exhausted. Nothing against them that is just my personality. After breakfast Dre took us out to Walter's workshop and demonstrated the fog horn for us. Just the mechanics of it all was fascinating. Dre and Charity are incredible hosts. Dre will tell you a lot of Dad jokes which are hilarious. Overall we were on the island for 24 hours and it was an incredible experience. Probably a once in a lifetime experience.

The rest of the place isn't much to see. There was one loud group of guys making noise/laughing loudly for a while down the steps from the lounges. Not sure if they were employees of the hotel or guests but it stopped after 10 minutes or so. With tight quarters you can't do much about that. The men's locker room was meh, clean, but small and kind of rank smelling like a local YMCA or something. Think that's due to it being so small and having a steam room, there's not great ventilation. Also thought it wasn't good that the urinals were so close to the sinks. Shower pressure not great. Parking is a bit tricky being downtown Sausalito. I don't think they were particularly loud however due to how the rooms are designed (they are designed more like a hostel, the rooms are literally so close to one another because they tried to fit in as many rooms as they possibly could in such an enclosed space) It was impossible to get a good night's rest. As someone who is very sleep sensitive it's imperative that I get my good hours of sleep in to properly function throughout the day. Robin who works in the front however is very warm and welcoming and will take the time to properly explain how to best utilize your room and the location of the hotel. She will also let you know the best place to park so that you do not end up getting a ticket, the hotel gets a pass from the city to park there for a fee, the fee depends on how busy It is.
