Had an appointment to mount and balance four tires on my BMW 740xi -- a job that should take about an hour at a competent shop. It took over three hours, with no communication, no updates, and zero sense of urgency. This isn't a complicated service. The delay felt like overbooking and poor shop management, not anything related to the car. Watching cars come and go while mine sat untouched didn't help. On top of that, the waiting area was uncomfortable -- no heat and no coffee. If you're going to make people sit around that long, the bare minimum is a decent environment. Absolute disaster. The movie: 'Idiocracy' litterally come to life, live, in person. I had all four tires replaced. Tires were never balanced properly. They said I had nothing wrong with my suspension even though it is squeaking so loud when you just turn the wheel. Turns out, their sister store in Chappel Hill disagreed. They looked at my car and said it isn't even safe to drive. Three control arms need to be replaced-- not much holding the suspension together.... And I had to pay them to re-balance my wheels the Firestone on S. Main St. balanced in the first place. Chapel Hill gave me half off because they said they were so bad-- one even had lots of extra weights in it they said... I would not trust them with my kids bicycle-- honest to Christ. And so rude, so so rude. You could not pay me to go back in there again; even if they said the tires were free. They left me so unsafe I'm actually considering calling an attorney. Having a 12;30 appt to have my car worked on, I showed up a little early. At1:02, 32 minutes after my appt time I noticed my vehicle was still out in the parking lot. I was told the total time would take less than one hour. With an appt my vehicle should have been taken in immediately so after waiting this long, I asked for my keys back. UNPROFESSIONAL AT IT FINEST!!! Had an appointment for balance and maybe an alignment for my daughter's car. Called Saturday 7/5 @2:13 pm spoke with an associate, scheduled my for Sunday @2. I get to my so called appointment yesterday early maybe 1:45 or so, go to the counter spoke to Jay and told him that I have an appointment. He told me I do not have you on my schedule and we do not have time to do your car. I said wait , I have an appointment , we go back and forth for a few, he stated let me ask the tech. Well here is the latest to the story. I email service as Lee from Firestone had requested I do. I believe a bot reply is what I got asking me information about the experience. The reply also said they were very concerned and someone would call me directly. Upon emailing a second time, I got the same email reply as if I had not already sent the complaint in. I AM STILL WAITING! Here is what's worst of all. The oil light was on as my daughter drove the car to work directly after leaving. Upon taking the car to our local "quick lube", it was discovered there was NO OIL in the car. I cannot prove it. What I believe happened is that being rushed after hours, when the cat was brought down from the rack the tech forgot. We have been using the quick lube for years. So, they put 4quarts in for free and thanked us for our loyal business. Firestone could take a lesson from them! read more

Don't trust them! I had purchased tires many times over. In the end they stripped 8 lug nuts. The wheel speed sensor is cut and needs replaced. Was told I could buy cheaper tires only to find out with a full wheel drive it is highly recommended to buy the same tires all the way around. Costing me a lot more money today. read more

My wife dropped my truck wheel/tire off at Firestone on Firestone Parkway in Akron Ohio on her way to work today because I got a flat and did a roadside plug that leaked a little, so I wanted to have it repaired correctly. What I did not know at the time was that I also damaged the tire when it went flat so suddenly and the rim dug into the sidewall of the tire. Hours went by, and I hadn't heard anything so I gave them a call. I spoke with Andrew, who said the tire was repaired and ready for pickup. My wife picked the wheel up on her lunch and brought it home, and they never even touched it! My horrible plug is still in place, untouched; the rim is still dirty; they charged me for balancing, but the weight is obviously untouched and no new weights added; and somehow they didn't notice the big gash in the sidewall when they were checking for leaks! The last time I went here, it was for an alignment. When they were done working on it, it was much worse than before! I had to take it somewhere else to have to realigned, and then had to fight to get a refund from Firestone! Never again! They did just offer me a replacement tire at cost! Only $180! Now I have figure out the proper channels to go through to find someone that can explain to me how this is acceptable, and to make other people aware so they don't make the same mistake I did! I lost an entire days wages today, and I'll miss another day tomorrow trying to get new tires of an uncommon size. read more

My car is a Cadillac SRX : Made my appointment on a Tuesday for the following Saturday June 3rd. Was going out of state, had a wobble in front end at 65-70 mph. Advised I needed a tire rotation, a balance of all 4, a vehicle inspection and a air valve replaced that Cadillac told me was leaking but wanted 75 for job. I also asked him on the down low to gimmie a price for a new set of tires, might just have him throw on a new set, but I'm married and wife was with me. I have never been happy with the Pirelli's I had on car. I dropped off my car at 7:30am. Advised needed car back by 12:30 as had some running around to do before vacation and son had wife's car at work. I called at noon asking about car, was advised, "literally going in next and wouldn't be long" Sat around and sat around and finally at 3:30pm, I jumped on Harley & cruised down to store. Car was still sitting in same spot that I dropped off at. Walked in, asked if done, said, "literally it was going in next" I probably wouldn't of had a problem with waiting but all bays were empty cept' for 2, and all the mechanics were standing in a circle in the middle of garage joking around. Kinda lost my shit at that point and told him give me back the keys. I also stated that things like this was why I canceled my Firestone credit card. Overpriced and undisclosed costs. I was in yesterday to have a screw removed from my tire and have a wheal bearing looked at. First of all they charge 29.99 to patch a tire! Secondly they charge 21.99 to diagnose your car. I have never had to pay at other places to diagnose a problem. Then when I was give an estimate I was not told that the alignment would be an additional charge. I do not fix cars or no anyting about them. I am the customer and ALL charges should be explained to me before I agree, not when I go to pick up my car and don't have a choice but to pay for them. I work in customer service and when we do repairs for our customers we give accurate estimates and explanations. If it costs more we have to eat that cost because we screwed up not the customer. Went for a tire repair and was quoted a $2,998.55 of front suspension issues and over the phone instructed i should not be driving with all these "issues". Took it to another auto shop who looked over Firestones quote and told me the majority of the issues were a scam and incorrect. The local shop I went to recommended a left arm control replacement and Only charged me $200 which included labor vs. Firestones left control arm quote of $325 which did not include labor. Firestone complete quote also include tire patch on top of full tire replacement. Firestone employees also stole my car phone charger which never leaves my cigarette outlet. Firestone is a scam. I don't give my money to stores where employees opening and audibly discuss their political view in front of customers. Very unprofessional. Teenagers working in retail know as much, it's pretty sad when a grown man doesn't. In this area, it's a safe bet that 50% of your customers aren't going to agree with your politics (regardless what side you're on). The staff here was very polite and informative and let me know how things were going throughout the process. I brought my van to Firestone at 6500 Dykes Rd in Weston, Fl I will never ever patronize them again i paid for a synthetic oil change ture rotation and to have a tire repaired. They had my van for 6hrs. the next morning I was on my way to the airport and my van was on a flat not only that it was the same passenger rear tire which means they didn't rotate my tire. so I took it back and they claim I had 2 nails in my tires but could explain why the tire wasn't rotated. I called them to see if they could test the battery I purchased at Firestone, they said yes. Drove 15 miles to the store and was told i needed an appointment. He wasn't nice about it, either. I am a Bridgestone employee and have taken my vehicle to Firestone for years. I made an appointment at the Firestone Complete Auto Care store at 1245 Firestone Parkway store last Friday for Monday morning, and received email confirmation on my appointment Friday afternoon. I dropped the car off at my appointed time, 9:00 am on Monday morning, and told the manager I had a 9:00 appointment. He asked what time I would like the car; we agreed on 3:30 pm when I leave work. I had not received a call at 3:00 pm, so I called the store; manager Ryan answered. He abruptly told me the car had just gone in and hung up on me. When I arrived at 3:30 pm as agreed, I was told the car was not ready and asked to take a seat. I didn't see Ryan; Angela, when I said I was surprised that the car wasn't ready, spent the next 20 minutes insulting my intelligence rather than resolving the problem. She told me that appointments were handled before walk-ins. I replied that I had an appointment, and had told her manager so. Then she told me I did not show as an appointment in the system, and questioned me about whether I had made the appointment at that store. I reiterated that my email confirmation was for that store, at 9:00 am, and that in addition I had told the manager about the appointment when I dropped the car off. Rather than admit a mistake had been made and offering some redress, Angela continued to insult my intelligence by suggesting I had somehow made a mistake about the appointment. After twenty minutes of this she finally apologized, but still without admitting that the store had made a mistake. All this makes me wonder, why take appointments and advertise pick up time if you're not going to honor either? And if an employee is treated this badly, what kind of service can the general public expect? I will personally never be back to 1245 Firestone Parkway, and will let my coworkers and the company know how dissatisfied I was with the service I received. read more
