Brought my Jeep here one day to ask them if they could help me get a lug nut off a tire that broke off. The mechanic came out and looked at the tire and spent five minutes basically telling me how stupid I was and how he couldn't believe someone would actually break a lug off of the tire. He said they might be able to help, but I'd be better off going to the dealer and having them drill it out. I went to auto zone, bought a $10 lug rescuer and used a friend's impact gun to remove the lug, no problem what so ever. I don't take my car to a shop to be told how idiotic I am and essentially laughed at. read more

They got me in right away and not only got me a new tire, but also got authorization from rental company so I would not have to buy tire. The service people were very nice and efficient. Awful experience at this place. Waited three hours to get my wheels aligned. Afterwards, I took it on the highway and came back and told them that there was still shaking. They said that it was something wrong with my tires and tried to sell me a Firestone Tire. I currently have less than a year old Michelin Pilot tires on. Then they claimed that one of my tires had a nail in it and charged me $25 -- I could've walked next door to Target and get a tire sealant thing myself for $5. Also, I couldn't understand anything that the employee said to me due to his broken English. I left this place frustrated and would not recommend that anyone go to this place. read more

The staff is extremely helpful and considerate. I get all of my car needs taken care of here but today I needed air in my tires & having no quarters to do it myself at a gas station, I went by my firestone and they did it in less than 3 mins, free of charge and I didn't even have to get out of my car. I'm sure they could've been doing a million other things but the fact that they took a couple of minutes to help me out with something I could've easily done myself was just so considerate. Seriously the worst experience when it comes to alignments and brakes. I had to go back twice to get my alignment check and it's still not working. I had to go back a second time for my brand new breaks squeaking. The managers there seem to not care if there are any issues with your car. I went in for a tire patch ($30). Got it done in 45 mins (average is an hour). Their workers were friendly and helpful in explaining things. I didn't feel like he was selling me on anything I didn't need. He just suggested some things but didn't pressure me when I said I'm okay. The next day I went in b/c the air hadn't been filled in the other tires and they filled it right away. I don't know about the other services here but the tire patch worked out for me just fine. read more

DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE and their on the job trained mechanics. I brought my car in for a leak and left with FOUR. When I got the call from Mike telling me I had 4 leaks. I should've went picked up my vehicle. Instead I authorized service and my car is paying big time. Now, I do have several leaks. These guys used my car as an experiment and kept it several days to do so. There's no way a license skill mechanic would or could do that much damage. It happened to me. If your reading this review don't let it happen to you. One more thing, once they f*** it up...your on your own. They will tell you it's something else. The work they performed was completed right, WRONG. I don't need any manager or Firestone rep replying to my post for show. Go and train your workers. After waiting two hours to get the tire leak patched, I finally had to goto the counter and let the person know my car was done. It cracks me up that this place has a cumulative 2-star review but somehow manages to stay sooooo busy. The customer service here is good, but the work is not. No matter how simple the work is, expect to wait at least 2hrs. I don't get it. The markup at this location is super high. Honestly I will not go to this Firestone ever again. My car's check engine light was on and I came in and made an appointment. When I came in for this appointment I told the guy that it might be my mass airflow duct might be loose. I had told him that I had just gotten it replaced. He asked me why I didn't tighten it. I stated that I did not know how. He asked me why I didn't take it to the person that replaced I told him that I couldn't because autozone replaced it. Saturday on Labor Day weekend, ran over a nail. Drove about two blocks to put air in it but when I walked out this morning and it was completely flat. Rather than risk damaging the wheel, I walked to AutoZone and got some fix a flat to seal up the hole until I could bring it in to get fixed today (Sunday). They said they couldn't fix it, saying I needed a new tire. Didn't even look at the tire. I explained, as a daughter of a mechanic and someone who's had this situation happen before where someone DID fix the tire, that wasn't actually true. You have to clean out the goop and sand down the area a bit for the patch to grab hold, but it can be done. Not in the mood to buy a new tire, when all i need is a patch. Fortunately, my boyfriend has a spare car i can use this week because I don't have room in my work schedule to come in during the week. And with tomorrow being a holiday, no chance to get it done on Monday. Thanks for the non-service, Firestone! You're about two blocks from my work and if I had gotten good service I would have been a return customer. read more

I have been using this location for years but it has progressively gone downhill (and it wasn't great to start with). Today I made an appointment for a brake job and an oil change for 11am. They did not even start working on it until 12pm. It is currently 5pm and I am still waiting on my vehicle. They keep feeding me excuses about being understaffed, but the way I see it, customers should be treated on a first come, first serve basis. I have seen at least 15 people come and go in the time I have been waiting. And everytime I look out there, NO ONE IS ACTIVELY WORKING ON MY CAR. Never again. My car failed emissions so it needed parts replaced, including - Oxygen sensor, front, and Mass Air flow sensor. Their price seemed a bit high, but being new to the area, I gave them a go....but boy I was wrong to do so. Only after paying them and doing some online searching, I realized that not only did they overprice their parts and labor, they actually outright lied about the parts they used. When I asked why parts were so much more expensive than the parts I found on internet, including Bosch products, Mike stated that they do not use Bosch-type products found on the internet because their quality is not as good as the original manufacturer-type parts they had in stock, and that it is hard to compete with wholesale internet prices so theirs is naturally higher. Well, I did some research here are details - - Oxygen sensor charged for $208.00 (detailed internet search revealed that the part they used was actually a Bosch part, with online cost of $54.88 on amazon.com) - Mass air flow sensor charged for $388.00 (exact same air flow online was $210.89 on ebay) - their labor charged close to 4 hours, when actuality was about 3 hours, resulting in extra greater than $100 charged With just these 2 parts, they charged close to $600.00 for what actually should have been close to $260.00. So, in summary, Pros - will find almost everything that is wrong with your car that can be replaced. Very fast service *(see below). Cons - Way Overpriced parts, overpriced labor. Dishonest about their "superior" quality of parts when asked upfront why they cost so much more than anywhere else. The reason they have such a quick service is because too many people already got ripped off. I should have listened to my gut feeling, but don't make the same mistake I did - when you see a restaurant, don't go to one that's empty. Unless you have extra cash lying around that you dont want, don't come here for major repairs. read more

I'm sorry there isn't an option for ZERO stars. Every time I've brought my car to this Firsetone location, they have tried to up-sell me on services I didn't need. The technicians must work on commissions, as the pressure to perform unnecessary services seems greater than anything I've seen elsewhere. Most recently, I came in with a coupon for a battery replacement. The manager first insisted that there was an additional installation charge of $30, on top of the battery replacement charge. When I showed him that the coupon clearly indicates that the stated price includes installation, he stammered and said that there are "some cars where the battery installation is more complicated, and therefore there's a $30 surcharge." I reminded him that to print out the on-line coupon, I needed to type in my car's make and model. The coupon price clearly reflected the cost of putting THIS battery into THIS car. He stammered some more and then said he'd honor the coupon. Next, he recommended that I pay a substantial additional fee to have my alternator checked, as the problem might not be with the battery. I explained that I already had a full diagnostic at my regular mechanic and that the only problem identified was that the battery needed to be replaced. He seemed quite miffed that I did not opt for the Firestone diagnostic. After finally replacing the battery, he informed me that they went ahead and checked my brake fluid "as a courtesy" and that -- lo and behold -- my copper corrosion level was high. He strongly recommended that I have them flush and replace my brake fluid. Hmmm... I had that done for $99 at Jiffy Lube literally 2 weeks earlier. How unusual that it would already need replacing again! I politely declined. Fast forward 8 weeks to today. My car has been not starting on a consistent basis. Some mornings yes, others no. Whenever I jump it -- it starts immediately. I suspect that the 8 week old battery they installed is not working as it should. I call Firestone and speak with Benjamin, the manager. He insists it cannot be the battery but says I can drop it off and they will check. Again, they try to sell me on a full diagnostic. I'm not against that at this point, but I certainly do not trust Firestone to do it. I decline. He calls me a few hours later and explains that the battery is absolutely fine, but that the starter needs to be replaced. "We can't start the car, no matter how many times we jump it. The battery is fine, It's your starter." He explains that will cost $511 to replace. Ugh. I explain that the issues with starting only began after they replaced my battery 8 weeks ago, and that I've been able to jump it immediately every single time. He again reiterated that it's the starter and that I MUST replace it. He says that jumping it will NOT start the car, as the issue is not the battery. It's the starter. "Jumping an already full battery will make no difference," Benjamin explains. And if I do not authorize them to do the repair, I will need to have my car towed from their premises. If you've read this far, here's the best part yet: I ask Benjamin if I can try jumping the car myself. I did so this morning and it started up right away. Would it be OK if I did so? He stated an unequivocal NO, insisting that if I try to jump my own car in their parking lot, it would incur liability. Therefore, I was not allowed to. Wow...So I had them roll my car out of the shop and into a parking spot in their lot. They said I could now call a towing service. I asked my wife to pull her 15 year old minivan next to my car and proceeded to connect the jumper cables. Benjamin looked less than pleased, as I flagrantly violated Firestone Law. My car started immediately. I will bring it to my regular mechanic tomorrow. I will certainly never entrust Firestone with any element of my car care. I did wave nicely to Benjamin as I drove off. read more

I ordered a set of tires online and had them delivered to this location for installation (for convenience and without checking reviews first). I called them to schedule an appointment time and they got me in the next week as it was a holiday weekend. Brought the car in, and the man at the front (I believe he is the manager) said it would be about an hour to an hour and a half wait and would I like to wait or come back. I was off of work for the day so I said I would wait. Additional to the tires being installed, I had another request for them. I asked them to check out my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) kits on each tire because my 'check tpms' light had come on. He said they would replace each kit with the new tires for $5 per tire. Easy enough. He came in about 45 min in and said my front brake pads were very worn and he would recommend getting new ones that day, so I agreed. He said it would be a half hour longer, no big deal. 4 HOURS LATER, my car was finished. Hopped in the car and my TPMS light was still on. Came back in and the lady at the front told me it would go off after I drove for a bit. Ok, cool. Drove it for about a week and called them because my light was still on. Same man at the front answered and said, 'no problem bring it on in at any time we'll take a look for you.' Great. I brought it in the next morning and he asked if I could bring it back the next day, they couldn't look at it right then. I let him know I couldn't the next day and he said ok I'll check it out now. Went around to all 4 tires and said 'yup, your rear right tire tpms sensor is broken and it's about $200-$250 and 2-2.5 hours to fix'. Why wouldn't they let me know this while they were working on my car for 4 hours? And why would it be that expensive when the tpms sensor itself is only $45?! I asked him this and he replied very snarkily saying 'ma'am (giggle) the tpms kit is different from a tpms sensor.' His attitude is what really made me upset. He made me feel so stupid when they're the ones that could've solved this problem to begin with and saved me the hassle of going back to them. Frustrating situation and I wouldn't recommend them because of the time they took to do a simple procedure the first time around and then mans attitude towards me when I had to come back. read more

I must say that I was BLOWN AWAY by the honestly and the experience here. Not only did they tell me that I did NOT need some of the services I came for, that also got me out in a shorter time than promised! THEN saved me money with a coupon they offered! This Firestone charged my college daughter $400 to replace spark plugs and wires, which I understand are more complicated. I complained about the cost and after discussion, the company refunded some of the diagnositc charges. I went here to redeem a free oil change coupon I got in a catalog we bought for a fundraiser. True to form, they called and told me there were about 6 things wrong with my car upon arrival. Among the problems were: and oil leak, contaminated brake fluid (I don't know much about cars but how does break fluid get contaminated) which, of course, calls for a full break flush, 1 low tire on the back, etc. Now, I replaced the low tire on the back and bought a second back tire because my mom always said that you never buy tires in less than twos. I also got the oil leak fixed because I was lead to believe it was serious. Here is the kicker-after paying $343.60 for what was supposed to be a free oil change, I got a flat tire on one of my front tires. I drove straight home from the business-my home is about 2 miles straight down N. Druid Hills Rd. The next morning one of my tires which was not new was flat. Now that raises some interesting questions: How do you catch a flat the next day after service? Why was it conveniently one that was not replaced? Did he really check all of my tires? Don't go here. They will look for stuff to drum up business. They supposedly specialize in tires but they know they make more money if they work your car over. This place is a rip-off. When I called and asked the moron mechanic if he noticed it was not a good tire he acted like it was perfect when he checked it the day before but he would be glad to take a look at it if I wanted to come back in-hahahaha. This place should not be in business period. I have never left a one star review before now, but if I could leave zero stars I would. I had a rim that needed to be replaced. They gave me a quote of $680.00 to replace it. I got a recommendation from someone to check out Metro Wheels in Marietta so I did. They ordered me a brand new rim for $159.00. Pretty big mark up! The next part of this experience is the most amazing. The spare that was on my car had gone flat, I had Firestone take a look at it to see if it could be patched. They said that because I had used Fix-a-flat in it, it could no longer be repaired, and I would have to get a new one. They don't sell the donut spare that I needed so I would need to order that special from the dealer. Meanwhile, Scott from Metro Wheels told me to take the spare over to Goodyear on North Druid Hills to have them check it out. Not only did Good Year fix the tire (it was a bad stem valve) they fixed it for FREE!!! Oh, and also, Firestone put my new rim and tire in the wrong place on my car. The tires on my car are staggered, meaning the tires on the front are a different size then on the back. I could have really damaged my car had I driven off with the wheels in the wrong place. This is a tire place, they should have known. Thank god I noticed the new shiny rim was on the back instead of the front. Oh, and they never called me to tell me that my car was ready. I had to call them. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. You have been warned. read more

Firestone took advantage of me, a single female who knows nothing about cars. I am out $500 and I endured over a year of having brakes that squeal every time I brake. I feel cheated by Firestone and I will never go back. I had just driven across the US to Atlanta and I needed to get a tire repaired. I ended up getting the Firestone vehicle inspection even though my trusted auto technician in California had assured me before I left that my car was in prime condition. The staff at this Firestone recommended that I put $1500 into my car for new brakes, new tires, a new oil pan, new wiring, and a bunch of other bogus recommendations that were deemed to be "critical." When I spoke with the actual technician about the new oil pan he said "it was really just kinda dirty, but it could be cracked so he recommended that I get a new one." I was furious. My dad ended up talking to the technician over the phone and between him and the technician it was decided that all I really needed was one new tire and new front brakes...or did I? I ended up paying for new front brakes and a new tire. Later I spoke with my technician in California, and, according to him, the one guy that I trust with my car, there was no way that I needed new front brakes. And thinking back I never did have any trouble with my old brakes. A week or so out of Firestone, my brakes were squealing. Every time I stopped the new brakes made a piercing sound. I took my car back three times to Firestone get this problem resolved. The last time they wanted me to pay to have my brakes cleaned and adjusted. When I finally found a trustworthy mechanic he informed me that my brakes were missing the shims (a plastic piece that is supposed to prevent the metal from rubbing against each other). Do not take your car here. They're likely to insist that you get a bunch of work done. But if you do take your car here and they replace your brakes make sure they put shims on. read more

This Firestone Complete Auto Care got to be the worse auto shop in Atlanta or anywhere that it franchised at!! I went to switch out an oil pan because it was leaking, which they said it was leaking from the rear main seal area, while they were trying to change oil, they removed the oil drain plug and somehow the oil pan thread got stuck on the drain bolt. So now I can't drive the vehicle because I had to order a new oil pan which took four days considering I came there on a Sunday! Now after four days, I finally got to pick up my vehicle and I got to get more bad news on something that I never had a problem before until I sent my vehicle to Firestone; which they said after completing work and running engine under higher rpm's there was a rattle sound from inside the engine which they suggest I get it checked by the vehicle dealer because they were not able to inspect or determine cause for rattle! So with all this said I went for something small to something big..I end up paying them $639.62 for fixing my oil pan and messing up my engine! Can't forget I had to get a rental for 3 days that cost me 156.39, I had to end up replacing my engine which ran $1,600.00! So my total price to pay was $2,396.01..all because of them and an oil pan!! read more

I'm not telling people what to do, I am suggesting that you DO NOT I repeat DO NOT place you car in the hands of these people. Lets just say I took my car here for a repair and I got my car back in WORSE shape that when I left it with them. When I confronted the manager (Mike) about the issue he TOTALLY denied and wrong doing (several times). Even after I took my car to (2) other shops in the area, that both said the exact same thing was repaired incorrectly. Finally took my car to a 3rd shop to only find out that my total repair for their mistake was $650, when I took my car to this place for a repair that should have only cost me $250 and 3 days of my car being in the shop. NOT $650 and my car in different shop for a month!.. Please Do not trust that your car is going to be taken care of properly at this location. I went in to get my tires balanced because my car was shaky on the highway, and they tried to sell me a new radiator. When I declined the service, the mechanic got irritated and rude. My tires never got balanced at firestone, and instead I had to take my car to another mechanic, who also confirmed there was nothing wrong with my radiator, and it was indeed my tires. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They are dishonest and will try to sell you parts that you do not need, and then proceed to get mad when you call them out. read more

The final straw was them trying, on two different occasions, to charge me over $700 to replace 'frozen' tie rods. I went to another garage and they charged me $17.60.
