They stated multiple times over the years that their "classic car guy" was an expert and could handle a classic car. For the first 5 years of living in atlanta, I took my classic mercedes here until they finally told me their classic car guy was leaving and they wouldn't touch my car going forward. Frankly, they did 5 years of changing my oil and nothing else but they'd charge me for what they called "regular maintenance". Regular maintenance on a classic car should include a lot more than just topping up the oil and calling it a day, but every time I'd mention knocking noises or brake issues or anything else to them, they wouldn't address it at all so I had no idea if they thought it was an issue or didn't. Finally 5 years later, thank god their classic car guy left, because I took it over to a place in Decatur and all of the things I had been worried about, they found a reason, they gave me a full breakdown online of what they recommended and why, they answered all of my questions, and I could pay the invoice online and feel good about it. Update: As of 9:30 p.m., Jacob, the owner, repeatedly called and texted me after my review. He first falsely claimed I'd only visited once four years ago, then offered to pay me, which I refused. After that, he pulled up what he claimed were years of invoices that were not real, despite the fact that I have the original receipts for my own transactions. Even after I repeatedly told him to stop contacting me, he continued until I had to block his number. Based on both my experience and his behavior afterward, I would never recommend this business.

Forry, Chris, and Brett were the main team that worked with me, and they were easy to talk to and happy to help. My car's issues (axles & ripped boot + transmission) were fixed with a quick turnaround. Our 18-year-old son was six hours from home when his 2003 BMW overheated. He was alone, scared, and devastated at the thought of losing a car he had worked hard for. Anthem gave him a $4,172.60 estimate. This wasn't simply a list of optional preventative maintenance. Their written technician report states that they pressure-tested the cooling system and "FOUND RADIATOR + EXPANSION TANK HAVE FAILED." Their proposed cooling-system work alone totaled $3,665 and included replacing the radiator, expansion tank, water pump, thermostat, hoses and numerous associated components. Because this estimate was more than the car was worth, an 18-year-old kid was left believing he might have to scrap his car hundreds of miles from home. Thank God we did not accept that conclusion. We found Marcus at AutoPro Training & Repair Services -- (404) 599-8121. Marcus drove approximately 25 minutes to meet our son that evening. He helped arrange a nearby location where AAA could tow the BMW, used his commercial parts access to keep potential costs down, diagnosed the car, and even took the time to teach our son about his own vehicle and involve him in the repair. And Marcus found something rather extraordinary: THE RADIATOR WAS FINE. The coolant cap had blown off. They even found the cap. Marcus addressed the coolant issue and got the car going. His total charge? $175. That included $50 to come out to the car, $75 for his diagnostic work, and approximately $50 for the actual repair. Anthem: $4,172.60. Marcus: $175. I understand that mechanics can disagree. I understand that a 23-year-old BMW has aging components and that a shop may reasonably recommend preventative replacement. What I cannot reconcile is a written diagnosis stating that a pressure test found that the radiator had failed, followed by another mechanic examining the vehicle and finding the radiator intact and resolving the immediate problem for $175. The most painful part was watching an 18-year-old kid six hours from home become scared and depressed because he believed the car he worked for was essentially gone. Had we not questioned this estimate, he could have given up on a functioning car based on what he was told. Marcus's kindness and integrity restored some of our faith in humankind while simultaneously making the contrast with our experience at Anthem glaring. I can only describe what happened to our family and let prospective customers draw their own conclusions. But after our experience, I would never authorize a major repair here without first obtaining an independent diagnosis. And frankly, if you're anywhere around Atlanta, I wouldn't wait until you need a second opinion. Call Marcus first. Marcus -- AutoPro Training & Repair Services (404) 599-8121 For our family, that phone call was the difference between an $4,172.60 estimate and a $175 solution -- and between an 18-year-old believing he'd lost his car and getting it back.

Because this is 1950, eye roll.. Jay is the real deal. Yes, Apna Garage is a modest shop tucked away behind a gas station. But how many mechanics have a legit 5 star Yelp rating? I'll wait.. The reason is because no-one is as honest, humble or as kind as Jay is. You can drop off your car which is very convenient. Jay diagnosed mine and explained everything in plain English without being patronizing. He's very responsive to messages, gave an honest assessment and didn't try to overcharge or upsell me. He even rode in the car with me to make sure I was comfortable driving it and that my needs were met. In short, Jay will be my mechanic for LIFE. 100% recommend. Thanks Jay!

WARNING: EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, DISHONEST, AND INCOMPETENT AUTO SHOP…read more This is, without exaggeration, one of the worst automotive experiences we have ever had. This place is a complete disaster of incompetence, dishonesty, and what feels like deliberate exploitation of customers. We have taken our car here twice this year and both times turned into a mechanical nightmare that spiraled into over 10 return visits, constant excuses, and a vehicle that left WORSE every single time. The first visit was for a transmission rebuild. We were assured it was fixed. Less than a week later, it completely failed. From that point forward, every return visit revealed yet another "new" problem -- always after they had touched the car. A rebuild that should have solved the issue instead turned our vehicle into a rolling hazard. This service cost more than $4000. On the second visit, the car was riding terribly and we again suspected the transmission. Ash, the owner, confidently claimed the issue was the catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and alignment. We trusted this so-called expertise and paid over $3,400. The result? A vehicle returned in shockingly unsafe condition -- alignment visibly crooked at a 45-degree angle, camber completely off, check engine light illuminated almost immediately, and the car driving worse than before. Back. Again. Alignment "fixed." Still broken. Check engine light on and off repeatedly. Back again. Then suddenly -- shockingly -- now the power steering pump is "leaking and broken." Apparently every time they touch the car, another major system magically fails. This pattern is not coincidence. It is either extreme mechanical incompetence or a calculated scheme to manipulate customers into endless repeat repairs and escalating charges. Either way, this business should NOT be trusted with a child's bicycle, let alone a vehicle. Ash continuously hides behind vague "codes" while refusing to accept accountability for a single failed repair. Instead of making things right, he insultingly offered a 25% discount as if customers should feel grateful for paying to repair damage they likely caused. This is poor service -- this is predatory behavior. This is not a mistake -- this is a pattern. Unprofessional. Deceptive. Reckless. Horrendous quality. Abysmal value. Services not performed as promised. Customer safety treated as a joke. Avoid this company and specifically the Cheshire Bridge location at all costs. There are bad repair shops, and then there is this place -- operating on what appears to be a foundation of incompetence, deception, and zero integrity. You have been warned. Jan 10, 2026 Update!!!! I have hired another mechanic that confirmed the work that they did to my car was mostly inconsistent, incomplete and incorrect. They did not tighten the catalytic converters to the car, or put the gaskets in. They put used parts on the car. They did not fix the transmission. They broke the power steering pump. We found a spot in the pump that appears to be where their mechanic tampered with the pump. The list doesn't end there. Where is the Better business bureau when you need them?
