I've come here for about two years now. For the most part customer service is great. The first couple of times I've visited this location my services were done correctly. Lately I've had to remind them and double check of the services and make sure they actually do them. Lately they've been extremely slow. I dropped my car off the day before at 4:15 pm hoping to pick it up the next day in early afternoon. The shop opens and 7 am, it's almost noon and my car STILL isn't ready. If you come here just make sure your services are actually done and be prepared to wait. Edit* they did gift me a free oil service next time due to my wait time. read more

I rolled into the shop with a blowout. Finding that it was not repairable, the good people at Firestone put on my spare (doughnut) at no charge. Friends, this is good, decent behavior for someone not ready to pay for a new tire. They were concerned about me, not making money. The people at this location are super nice and very helpful. They were fast and efficient and knew what they were talking about. I dropped off both of my cars to get tire work done and break work done. No complaints at all! I called some local places before going here and was treated very rudely. I had made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get my front breaks fixed. My appointment was April 2nd 7am. Had my wife drive a half hour to pick me up from Firestone on a Saturday at 7 am. I was told it wouldn't take long. They close a 6 and I hadn't heard anything from them by 5pm so I called and was told Oh sorry we didn't get to it. 6 days. 6 DAYS! I took my work van in on a Tuesday to have the tires and shocks replaced while I was on vacation. Now I realize that the national account provider we have to use makes you jump through hoops and get approvals and such but 6 days later I will be getting said van back with the same bald tires I dropped it off with. I now know where NOT to take my personal vehicle. I also have a story to tell everyone I know who will listen. Zero stars. read more

I used to take my vehicles to a different oil change shop on Columbia Ave. Had been going there for years because they did decent work fairly cheap. New management took over and things went to hell in a handbag. The employees looked like they were working out of their own garage, and their girlfriends/wives were hanging around. When I saw the managers significant other walk into his office all I could hear was....well that's another story. I decided to find a different place to get my vehicles serviced. I'd been to a few other places in town and finally ended up at Firestone. Now I've never had any work done here other than the standard oil changes and tire rotations. The place is clean, the employees are in uniforms, and I'm greeted by a professional. I now get coupons in the mail for many kinds of services which makes the price even better. A small waiting area with a television and fresh coffee makes the time go by a little faster. It's too bad the other reviews weren't so good. The only reason I didn't 5 star them is because I haven't experienced everything they have to offer yet. You want to hang out with the guys and their girlfriends, go down Columbia Ave. You want your oil changed by professionals in uniforms go to Firestone. UPDATE: Since I first Yelped about this place and rated it a 4 star, I have been back multiple times for some pretty major repairs. Because of Holly, and "that other guy" (Haha) I'm changing it to a 5 star. Their service is awesome. read more

I don't usually make comments about an experience but this has to be said. Firestone Complete Auto Care State Street Saginaw, MI. I bought tires here November 24, 2023. Had intermitting problem with TPMS for what the car said was the right rear tire. After this stayed on all the time I took it in to get fixed January 31, 2024. There is a charge to fix these approximately $120. Mechanic went to the right front tire to work on it. I told them it is the right rear. They told me no it is the right front. Evidently when they put the new tires on they never reset the TPMS. Paid the bill and left everything fine. Now April 22, 2024 on my way home RED light on dash says PSI 10, PSI 7, PSI 4, PSI 0. Yes flat tire. Had portable air brought out to inflate and get home. Took right front tire off to check for hole. Couldn't find a hole, pressed on the valve stem and you could hear air coming out. Appeared the valve stem system was extremely loose. Called Kay on Morning of April 23, 2024 to let them know I was bringing the tire in to get fixed and I wasn't paying for it again. Had a 4 pm appointment. They broke the tire down and she brought me the TPMS and said well this isn't our TPMS and then another part of one that was rolling around inside the new tire they installed in November. She said we wouldn't have left this part rolling around in the tire and this isn't our TPMS so she wants to charge me again for it. She argued with me about it not being their TPMS. So I can only assume that she is so positive it wasn't theirs that they charged me for a TPMS but never changed it because they were working on that right front tire. Ended up taking the broken down half mounted tire and rim that they wouldn't fix to Discount Tire to get it fixed. Many many years of going there will not be going back. Manager Kay can't admit to a problem they had and just fix it and be done, has to lie and pretend I don't know what is going on with my car. Nobody has rotated tires or changed them, They were the only people who worked on it. read more

I was moving across the country with my family and my wife's car had a tire blow out. I had a snow tire with me (because moving) that I needed put on so we could keep driving. These guys slipped me in and took care of it with no hassle. Very nice people thank you. read more

I wouldn't give them any stars if I could , I took them my Subaru to fix a flat. Their technician that fixed my tire couldn't even balance it correctly , he checked everything off that everything was in good condition when I knew I had my right headlight out , my wiper blade was broken , and my my license plate light was out. And I needed more wiper fluid. Once I picked up my Subaru , I drove it on the highway my steering wheel was shaking , so that was telling me something wasn't balanced and now there was a noise coming from the left rear wheel. I called them to tell them something happened and wasn't right with my car and they told me to bring it back in the next day . So I did and comes to find out the technician was such in a rush he didn't balance the wheel correctly and the manager said if I hit the right pothole my wheel would've fallen off and I would've need an alignment. They fixed the wheel but the noise was still there. I went back and they kept telling me it was my right wheel bearing but I know what a wheel bearing going out sounds like and it wasn't the noise that was coming from. so I went to another shop Rusty's over in Springfield which is such a better car repair shop. I highly recommend Rusty's auto repair shop. I called this shop much later to ask if the can do any engine diagnostic work and they barely have anyone qualified to do brake lines. That they don't have anyone with engine qualifications only alignments and simple repairs. Which is ridiculous to me , since it's a car auto repair shop.. why is this shop even open. I would stay far away from this shop. I wish I would've. Then the noise and any problems that happened from the first time I went wouldn't of happened to my Subaru. If wanted I can post the receipt that has everything listed that they typed out and handed to me at the end of those two services. read more

My husband and I were driving home from work and I ran over something in the road and got at flat tire. We pulled into Firestone and a very nice guy came out and offered to pull our car in and put a spare on our car, we had road hazard ins so we just needed to take the tire back the next day. He charged us nothing and we hey now have a new customer for life!!! read more

TERRIBLE!!!!!!! I had a custom truck awhile back that needed work. Due to it being lowered it was putting more strain on the u-joints and both needed to be replaced. They went bad quickly and the closest shop was Firestone. I left it their hands and ended up paying well over $500 for them to replace them. It seemed ok at first but I noticed after awhile it was acting up and right off the bat it felt different driving. Frustrated I took it back to be told the u-joints were fine (yes in theory they were) the pieces connecting not so much. Not happy with their diagnoises I took to my old friend "Dan" at professional muffler and brake. Where we found out they had clamped the driveline too tightly and dented it. Firestone refused to accept that they did the damage and I was basically screwed. Bringing it back to the other shop.. Professional muffler and brake had a CUSTOM driveline made for me WITH new u-joints for $500!! So in turn I paid Firestone $500 to destroy my trucks driveline and tell me tough luck! I then paid ANOTHER $500 to have a custom line and two u-joints put in. Tell me who you would trust? read more

Just push your broken down car further if it comes to it. Don't think that because its a big name there is any oversight ensuring ethical business practices. First time, bad diagnosis, they said would be $400+ to make a repair, fix myself for $0.00 and a few mins. They were totally wrong in their diagnosis. Either it was just to generate a big bill or they were incompetent, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, sure, why not? Second time, oh no lol, review time. I can't even say watch them, just don't give them your car, drive right past and go anywhere else. They will rip you off, suspect high levels of sales training employed to scam you for everything they can, doesn't even matter if you have a friends and family discount. Not sure this is typical for the franchise but for sure at this one and I have heard from a former employee it is the same over in Kalamazoo. If you hear them saying "hot rotor" or "rotor" its their code word for checking out the female customers. Looking into this further: What I've experienced is not unusual for Firestone. The guys here were great. Only $22 for a full inspection, the dealership wanted $109 for the same thing! The inspection was completed in about 45 minutes they found what was wrong and listed out repairs that were necessary vs recommended so I didn't have to spend a ton of money all at once. Only reason it's 4/5 is because the windshield wiper fluid was supposed to be filled and it was not, but I went back and they found another issue with the hose and are fixing it next time I come in no charge for the labor. read more

These guys are great! I had a rental car and was driving from Lansing to Chicago when the plastic skid plate underneath started dragging on the pavement. We stopped off in Battle Creek, searched car repair and gave them a call. They said to come right in and they removed it for me free of charge out of their own goodwill. WOW - my daughter broke down 300 miles from home on a Saturday afternoon and having been a loyal firestone customer for years i had them tow her to the nearest location which was Battle Creek. Not only was Richard ready for them he called me and gave me regular updates of the problems and repairs needed. He stayed late on a Saturday night after closing to repair her vehicle and get her going. Otherwise she was stranded for the weekend or i had to drive 6 hours each way to get her home and then get the vehicle back. He went so far above and beyond i cannot even begin to show my gratitude. They fixed it fast and made sure she was good to continue her drive home. Amazing service - make sure you go and see Richard if you need anything done to your vehicle. read more

Went to get tires, on different vehicles... first vehicle, "sorry sir, we don't have your tires, you will have to drive 30 miles to get them put on", so I did. second vehicle, no problems, everything went just fine. third vehicle, "sorry sir, the closest tires are 2 hrs away, you will have to drive to get them or pay an extra $60 for shipping" called and lodged a complaint... claims was decent, said that they would talk to store, fail... said they would help out and get district involved.... fail... 3 weeks later... still no tires.... still heard from NO ONE..... rather angry. Store manager is rude and has no people skills... district doesn't care, guess it is time to go to GOODYEAR!!!! read more

I used the Battle Creek Firestone service for my normal oil change. At the time of the service, I was informed by the service tech that my tires needed to be replaced. He asked that I come into the bay so he could show me why he was suggesting this....not only because they were starting to dry rot and have cracks but for my SAFETY.
