She specifically asked for just the one to be replaced, but was told by Evan that not just one would go out, they couldn't replace just one because it would "kill the others". and they only sold them "in packs of 4". She told him that just one was replaced this summer (at this location) After looking at her car he came back and changed his tune as only one was out. And confirmed that one was new. My mom's car needed 4 new tires at some point in the near future, so she wanted to wait. But while visiting her and using the car, we picked up a nail and it landed in an unfortunate spot too close to the edge where a patch couldn't fix it. We thought this was the perfect opportunity to get her to replace all four tires. Honestly, dealing with everyone here was just an amazing experience. People were so nice and they got the work done so quickly. If she had gone to her dealership, it would have been pricier. Sam's Club had an insane wait to even get in. Discount Tire ordered the exact same tires she had and it arrived less than a day later. We dropped it off and it was all done within hours. I wish we had honest businesses like this where we live. I highly recommend paying the extra fee to get the warranty. In the grand scheme of things, it's not too much more and they rotate your tires for free after X number of miles. The whole process took less than 45 minutes and when we went to pay, we were told this service is complimentary. You wait in your vehicle till they are ready. Then you can stay in it when they do the tires or go into the waiting room. It went quickly getting new tires on. I was impressed. They found out within 30 seconds that it was two sensors; I paid and was told 45-60 minutes. I went to Lee's chicken and had a great four wings combo meal. Wait times for air check is at least 30 minutes, even if you are the only car in line. Where are the people to help you? Don't offer a service if you are unable to fulfill it. The thing that dropped this review to one star, however, is the fact that when we got the tires, they broke the tire sensors, which tell you when the air pressure is low. They ordered new back tires for my truck and they were delayed due to the hurricane, so this man drove up to Detroit and got them. Come to find out they can't be on my truck because of the size . So the tires we got , ordered earlier this year for the front , were wrong and didn't catch it . Andrew went out of his way and I'm so appreciative! He is giving me 4 new tires and rims. My father referred me here due to a slow tire leak. I went to the check in counter where a gentleman was walking out with 2 customers. I stood there and waited. Another worker Evan, was at the check out counter. He never looked my way or acknowledged me. He finished the phone call and went out to the bay. After 12 minutes of being ignored I asked a female who was returning a vehicle, was there anyone there that could help me? She informed me in a rude tone of voice to wait a minute there were only 2 people working at the desk. There was no one else in the store, so I guess no one else was trained in acknowledging customers who provide stores with business. I sat down because no one was there to acknowledge or help me. Evan returned and I asked if there was anyone that could help. He informed me he didn't know I hadn't been helped because I was sitting. So silly me I didn't know if he had a visual deficit and could not see the woman standing at the counter. I left there NEVER to return again. My girlfriend stopped in 5/2/2023 to see why tire was low. Was told had screw in tire and wouldn't be long. 2 hours later Finally pulls car in garage, then goes from screw to piece of metal and not repairable. Went to Discount Tire after having been given a run around at Belle Tire on Westnedge. Belle Tire on Friday told me to come back at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday for them to fix my tire leak. I arrived early on Saturday and Belle Tire told me it would be around 2 1/2 hours before they could get me in. Not happy with them changing time on me I left and went to Discount Tire on Westnedge in Portage, Mi. Discount tire told me it would take a little while before they could get me in. Discount tire examined the outside of the tire and could not see anything that would cause the leak so they broke the tire/wheel down so they could inspect the inside of the tire for anything sticking thru from the outside and saw nothing. Next the pulled the valve stem and replaced it, put sealer on the rim, remounted the tire, balanced the wheel/tire and reinstalled same on the vehicle. When they handed me the keys I asked what the bill was and they said no charge. I couldn't believe it. Discount Tire has earned my future business. read more

I'll be the first to say I'm not that automotive knowledgeable but I know customer service. Right off the bat I have to say the staff here is very friendly, at least until they close the deal then you kind of fall off the planet. As far as deals, they will always try to up-sell you, but if you stick to your guns you can usually work a good deal with them. And they do a good job of servicing your tires. As a matter of fact my only beef with them is how SLOOOOW they are. Two hours to change ONE tire? C'mon... I've had tires repair and bought tires at Bell Tire, Good year and Wal-Mart and all were busy but none were as slow as Discount Tire. There were several times when there were at least 2 open bays and not a single employee was in a "rush" to fill them. That being said, if you want a good deal on tires and good service on them, go to Discount Tire. Justbe prepared to kill off a good part of your day doing it. read more
