    Leaking oil from Firestone mechanic

    Got a call saying my car was ready for pickup showed up about 20 minutes later and was told the mechanic still hadn't started the work. Another hour later and finally they completed the oil change. In all the oils change took 3.5 hours. Then when I get back they tell me the delay is due to the mechanic stripping the oil plug and causing a leak. Now I need to replace the entire oil pan and no they do not cover damage caused by their mechanics. Also the email below is not helpful. I fell for that trick. Photo below was provided by mechanic who fixed oil pan.

    JR Spitler provided the best customer service I have seen in a while. I would fully recommend Firestone.

The customer service associates are unfriendly and unhelpful if you have a question. If they know you they will help you and if they don't know you they are unwilling to go the extra mile. There are 2 or 3 of the associates there who I'd like to name but I won't but they are just unfriendly and they have a nasty odor about them that makes me wanna throw up every time I'm around them. I have met some really nice people who work there in the past but since the pandemic began the guys who put up stock are not friendly and they act like you are bothering them if you have Questions about where is this or that. I normally give good reviews to every company I deal with but when there is an honest review that needs addressing then I think people should tell it like it really is. Also you can only blame the crappy management in these Walmarts in Gaston county. When you have lousy management, you'll always have lousy employees. Remember it always starts at the top.

The lady ahead of me called someone and he came and spoke to her. He said that they were training a new guy. There were 2 people working on tires and the new employee. Why not have one of the 2 do the oil changes?????? He also said that someone called in and someone else would be there in about 15 minutes. I finally got my oil change. I was standing at the counter and an employee was checking me out. Another employee came by and said, "Come on let me show you". This employee leaves me at the counter and says absolutely nothing. One of the tire guys (Patrick) comes in from the bay. I asked, "Are you the manager?" His response, "No, I am not". Patrick goes back to the bay. I'm still standing there along with 2 other customers. Patrick comes back and uses phone for something. I call the store number and describe my situation and request to speak to a manager. The Operator rings me through. At this point, Patrick hears me and decides to check me out. The store manager never answered the phone. I will never go there again.

    I recently had to have an inspection done on my dad's GMC Canyon and I noticed that the brake…read morelights weren't working so I took it to Firestone in Belmont. They weren't able to fix the situation and they advised me to take the truck to a dealership or to an electrical mechanic. So I went to Victory Chevrolet in Mt. Holly and the service advisor told me that I shouldn't waste any money in the vehicle because it was old and smelled liked mold, mildew and had the worst water damage he's ever seen. Needless to say I was disheartened and didn't know what to do so I looked up mechanics in the Belmont and Mount Holly area. This is where I came across R&M Auto Center, their reviews were almost perfect so I called them up and the front desk was very helpful, professional and pleasant. She set up an appointment for me relatively soon. When I arrived, I spoke with Cameron and explained the situation in detail with the brake lights, the driver's window not going down and locks not working. He assured me that it would be taken care of. He also reiterated that the diagnostics fee was $103 and if they didn't resolve the issue in the first 45 or hour then there would be an additional charge for each additional hour. I left my vehicle overnight and when they call me back the next day, to let me know what the issue was, I was worried but Leslie explained that they found the issue and it was a simple fix for the brake lights. I was extremely happy about the price because I was thinking the worst. They finished my vehicle and did my inspection as well in a timely manner. When I picked up my vehicle I was surprised that the driver's window worked and the locks on the truck worked as well and yes the brake lights were fixed. They took care of everything and didn't try to exploit the situation. Overall, I would definitely recommend R & M Auto Center for your vehicle's repairs because they are truly honest, upfront and do great work on your vehicle for a very fair price.

He just basically said we don't have to worry about this one anymore. Bad attitude . Here's the absolute truth of what happened .. let me also add I am an exemplary citizen. I work as a F/A for American Airlines going on 30 years . A very fair person and do my best to treat everyone with respect and kindness every day. .. Took my Honda accord to get AC working. Blower worked fine but needed charged . When I picked it up, it seemed to still blow warm air but thought it needed a few minutes to get cool so I drove it home in about 4 minutes. Should have went right back but I honestly thought it needed a couple minutes to get cool and I was very close to my house. I parked the car . Then I Drove it THREE days later & it blew complete hot air . I told owner about it and he did nothing for me . (even though he states that they stand behind their work .) He said with an uncaring tone, "They can blow at any time. "Really? Drive the car home in a few minutes while it's already blowing warm air and three days later it doesn't work and it blew??? You think so? I paid several hundred dollars to have this fixed. I asked several people and they said you did something wrong. I asked several people and they said you should've made it right. I still have no air condition.. He messed up and did not take accountability and responsibility . I paid several hundred dollars. I don't even know what this dishonest person did for that much money. He certainly did not change the air cabin filter either.. I'll enclose a pic. I've been so angry. I'm only now posting about it , as I'm not a complainer but he totally ripped me off. I was going to get my oil changed there recently , but it did not sit right with me to go back and give them my business and then this all came to surface again . I could hear my dad in heaven, telling me not to go to that person . I decided to tell the truth online because it's 100% true no matter what he says . People know deep inside when they aren't doing you right . There's no way that air air-conditioning was fixed . He took my money. These people do not treat others fairly. You may get a good experience here and there, but he completely ripped me off and he knows it. Also, another huge thing, he did not lock my car when I left it there & a homeless person was in my car found rooting around on his security cameras. They called me. How horrible. Police were involved. They can't even lock people's cars at night??? His answering machine is very rude as well . He tells you not to keep calling back in a rude, impatient disgusted tone. Call and listen, Although he may change it . They did not do me any service whatsoever and stole my money by not fixing my air-conditioning. Who treats a client this way? I should have been more insistent because I know that I was correct and that he was wrong, but I left because I'm not a fighter, but guess what ??My anger and his disservice finally popped out and I'm tired of it sitting on it . So here is my response now. I got ripped off because he is dishonest and I'm patient and kind. He is dishonest. Sir, you will get yours in the end. Please stand for me and Go to J&J Auto on Beaty Dr. You'll be treated politely, better communication and better price. Everything I wrote is 100% true. If I were in court. I would raise my right hand and put my left hand on the Bible to what I just wrote. ( I just read a review from a few years ago . The owner responded and he said they stand behind everything they do, but he did not stand behind my air-conditioning job so he is a liar as well. ) He truly owes me an air-conditioning job.
