Oil changes are totally over priced. Pay $100 bucks for an oil change that you can do yourself for $40 and 30 mins. of your time.

I've been trying to find someplace to get an oil change done for 3 weeks now... super frustrating. Dropped my son off at CLT & looked down to see oil life at 10%. Well, not being able to put it off any longer, I yelped & yall did not let me down. Pulled in & got in line... was immediately greeted with an ice cold water on a 95° day, THANK YOU! Not only did it catch me off guard, but was SUPER appreciated! Ummmm these guys are like the Nascar pit crew of oil changes... I'm not really sure how I could be so happy with a mundane oil change, yet here I am. Chris ran that place like a... well... fine tuned machine. On my "crew" was Robert & Arin and this was honestly the best oil change experience I've had in 48yrs. If all the locations are run like this one, a customer for life! Chris also said my free top offs are good for SC so I'll be trying them out there. I just want to add: Chris really took pride in his company AND his team. Nothing forced, just naturally. As a small business owner my time is super valuable (regardless of what you do yours should be too!) I posted on social media asking my followers where the best experience for an oil change was, once again they didn't let me down! In the past the place i went i would get out go into a shady looking waiting room that smelled like a oiled up attic to sit with no WiFi for 45 min to an hour or sometimes more, not with take 5! I'm in love with the experience, i was greeted quickly and given a bottle of water (good looking out, i run on coffee and often forget to drink water). I did have a small wait If about 4 min while they finished up with another vehicle. Once in my vehicle they were quick, knowledgeable and communicative. was asked what type of oil change I would like I picked the basic (economy $55) not really economical I give my card to Emily and she rings it up and gives me my receipt and it's $113.96 and they put full synthetic 5w20 which I did not ask for or would ever put in a Dodge Ram 1500 fleet vehicle I ask why did you charge for full synthetic this vehicle doesn't get full synthetic and I asked for economy ($55) and was told your vehicle takes full synthetic and then was told loudly have a nice day multiple times by I assumed the manager and basically corralled out of there because of multiple customers waiting totally rude and dishonest read more

Scamming customers isn't good business. I told them I wanted the economy oil change and they charged me $92 and put synthetic oil in my car without permission. Apparently, this is common practice for them. Can't wait to join the class action lawsuit. read more

I went here for the first time yesterday (2/29) I was very surprised how fast and thorough they were. They were very nice and answered every question I had. I will definitely be coming back. The only thing I would change is the prices. They are a bit pricey. Right now they have a special going on for $24.99. read more

They will try and ruin your car.... Stripped my gasket with wrong socket size, replaced with smaller gasket. I got home my car was leaking oil very badly. Bill, the manager, couldn't handle the situation, he apologized and hid. read more

I decided to try this place out because of the convenience and how quick the service is supposed to me but will NEVER be going back due to the outrageously high prices. I have a 2009 Camry and was charged $80 for the oil change and $21.99 for a simple air filter replacement. I usually pay $40 to $50 for the same service plus a tire rotation. There are multiple better options in Gastonia and the surrounding area. The speed of the service is definitely not worth the increase in price, go somewhere else. read more

My daughter took her car here for an oil change 2 weeks ago. They charged almost as much as taking it directly to the VW dealership. Her experience was fine but she took her car to the dealership to have them check out something with her transmission and they reported that when her oil was changed last (2 weeks ago) they reused the old drain plus and the car was slightly leaking oil. She called Take 5 to ask them if they could replace the drain plug and the person she spoke to was rude, belittled her and said they couldn't do anything because someone else had touched the car. Not very great customer service at all. For an extra $15 she could have avoided this problem and had her oil changed at the dealership. In CA (where we live) drive through oil changes are reliable so we assumed it would be cheaper and just as good of service going to one in NC. read more

I came here because there were great reviews and was looking for a quick oil change. I've been in line for an hour now. The TWO cars in front of me have taken over an hour. Extremely frustrating for a place who's ads boast of such quick service. It's fine if it takes that long, but the false advertising is not cool. I'm still waiting in line as we speak. Please DON'T waste your money at this place! They broke panel under my car... they didn't tell me. I noticed the panel hanging from under my car a few days later. When I went to the closet repair shop the discovered the zip ties. They also warned me Take 5 would deny it.... guess what? They did! First they apologized for not telling me but said it was like that when I came in... it wasn't! They then said screws were missing... didn't tell me that until after the fact... they promised to send me a video...guess what?? I never got it. They won't be in business long with such poor service. I am contacting the better business bureau ASAP! read more

The staff and quality of service were very good. Didnt have to get out of my car even to reset the oil service light for my car. I recommend this location as compared to walmart where they would flip flop charges and tell me I didnt ask for one service when they gave me the a different service. read more

Techs spilled coolant and oil in the engine compartment, so that when I got home I had a small stain on my driveway. This vehicle does not leak any fluid and I have never had any stains on my driveway. I had to take paper towel and wipe down the frame of the vehicle where fluids were spilled and subsequently dripped on my driveway. Multiple techs working on vehicle, communicated with each other, checking the boxes on their invoice, but still not really confident that they knew what they were doing. Too many times of one having to tell the other what they were supposed to do and how to do it. A little scary, but so far, so good. read more
