They charged $300+, and it was still another 30-45 minutes before it was done. My kid was climbing the walls! What's the sense in making an appointment if it's not going to be honored? I was told an hour and a half to 2 hours for an inspection. I'm waiting there for an hour, this lady came in before me just wanting air in her tires, she finally asks what's taking so long and she sees her car is on the lift with her hood open, she gets pretty upset about it since she just asked for air and they're trying to do other things to her car that she didn't ask for. I finally get told they're going to inspect my car 1 hour and 55 minutes into my wait, they said "it will only take 5 minutes" well if it will only take 5 minutes, why didn't they just do my car instead of lifting up that other ladies car when she only needed air? They could have had me in and out so quick. They finally tell me it's done 2 hours and 15 minutes later, they tell me they won't pass it because my windshield wipers are "dry rotted" which they weren't. They told me I could pay $58 for them to put them on when I could buy them for $20 at Walmart but I don't want to come back and wait how many more hours. So I tell him that and he gets an attitude and starts to walk away and says "it's okay! I'll jus tell them to fail it then!" I ask him to wait a minute so I can make a phone call, I finally tell him to just do the service. He then comes back and tells me they don't have them in stock and they're just going to pass it. So if they weren't bad enough and they're just going to pass it, why couldn't they have just cut me a break and passed it the first time knowing how long I was waiting there with 2 toddlers? I see nothing but negative comments for the most part! It's a shame people don't take the time to leave a review when the service is great! I was able to go online and shop for a great tire! I ordered there and set my appointment for the next day. There is a Waffle House in the parking lot so I dropped my car off and came back to pick it up. The lobby was comfortable and everyone was so friendly! They gave me options to get discounts for signing up for their credit card so I did. My new tires look gorgeous and ride like a dream! I went with the Firehawks. Great value as with all four tires and lifetime rotation and alignments, it ran just around $1k. I will definitely be back for another set for my other vehicle. Oh yeah! They also placed my spare and tools back in my trunk so perfectly! Some shops will just toss them in the trunk and not care.Excellent service, Team!!!! read more

I made an appointment online to get a new tire after i had a blowout on I40 the previous day. They told me that I would have to leave it with them and that I could not wait for it. I asked him "just to change a tire?" and he said yes. I have no one who can drop me off and take me back when it is finished. I told him that I would take it elsewhere and he said "ok". I've been a Firestone customer for about 20 years. I couldn't believe how nonchalant he was. I called the Durham location and they had no problem giving me an appointment and told me that I can wait for it. What's the point of offering appointments if they can't get to it at the designated time? How long does it take to change a tire? I won't be going back to the Burlington location. Today took my car here to get tires. Went Wednesday they said didn't have tire in stock they would need to get them from Durham. I said ok went on and paid in FULL for the tires and told them would be back Friday . I drop off car and the associate told should be ready about 1. I called them at 1 and was informed then they didn't have my tires there they had to come from Durham. Hopefully it would be ready by 3:30. I called back then and it was on lift then. So for something I planned ahead for was definitely not worth it and a waist of time. Almost 8 hours for 4 tires and a oil change. Hope if you go there you have time to waist. Sadly I've been to this location about 3 times, and I am completely over the service here. The first time was for 2 new tires and an alignment. As I was driving I noticed the wheel was nice aligned properly, therefore when my steering wheel was straight, the tires were actually turning left! So I called them, informed them of the issue & was reassured I could bring the car back and they'd have it alined in under 15mins. The desk attendant, Ferguson, had me sitting there for an hour before I asked him for a more accurate ETA. He looked puzzled, asked the mechanics about my car and why it was still sitting out in the parking lot, and they responded with "You never gave us the key." For what ever reason. Ferguson had "lost" my car keys, and was now searching the office for my key. Eventually the key was found, and they finally pulled my car in for a second attempt at an alignment. I wait another 30mins when Ferguson says they're finished with my car, and that he needs to pull up my information on the computer before he can give me my car key. I ask, are you charging me for something? He responds, "I don't know, that's why I'm trying to pull it up." We stand there for another 5 mins of him clicking buttons, when I said again, I didn't need the paperwork about the FREE alignment. Ferguson try's to mumble something when he's interrupted by a co-worker, ordering him to just give me my key because I didn't owe anything. After his co-worker REPEATEDLY shouted "GIVE HER HER KEY!", he finally gives me my key. I say thank you and leave. Fast forward to yesterday, I had a nail in one of the tires with Road Hazard Protection, so I gave them another chance, called asking if my tire was still covered, they told me yes, so I scheduled the appointment. When I get to the location, I drop off my car to get a tire replacement. They take about 3 hours and Sam gives me a call to let me know the car is ready for pick up. When I return, Ferguson tells me to wait a moment, and proceeds to walk outside. When he returns he asks for my car information and goes to grab my key. When he returns, he hesitates to give me the keys, and tells me to wait again. He goes and asks the mechanics something then returns. He continues clicking buttons on his computer. I had a lot of patience that day, and stood there for about 10 minutes while he clicked away, cracking his knuckles, messing with his hair, and looking frustrated with the world. Sam then asks Ferguson a question, when Ferguson responds with a snarky remark. Sam responds "don't be a smart-ass." Finally I am given my key in the most passive-aggressive way, Ferguson is shaking as he hands me the paperwork on my car, I have no idea why this guy is always in a crappy mood, but I pity him. I will never return because of his horrible customer service skills. If he can't work on cars and lacks basic manners, he should be let go, as I was walking out, I could hear Ferguson shouting a question repeatedly at the next customer, an older lady. Took my car in for an oil change, and alignment Went back to pick my car up. Got on the highway to get home. And this horrible noise started. I was terrified and had to pull over. The plate underneath the car wasn't bolted back. I had to take backroads and drive 25 MPH terrified it would cause damage. Finally made it back and the kid tried to drive it in the bay. The lip on the bay hit the plate and completely destroyed the plate. I went inside and assistant manager just walked around helping others. On the phone. About 20 minutes later finally said. Come out with me. I demanded a new plate and refund for the negligence and my terrifying ride back to the store. He said I had to leave my car overnight so they could get the part. The absolute worse place .the people working there are incompetent I explained to the man that I got my battery from Firestone and it may be out of warranty but I still had a discount on it he looked me dead in my face and told me that it was not a Firestone battery. I've been getting service at this Burlington location but I just had to follow up on this visit. I have a lifetime service on alignment and rotations on all my cars I bring in to Firestone. I've been doing business with them for over 15 yrs. I took my car in and 3 services done. One in particular was a rotation and balance. The service tech balanced the tires but, didn't rotate them. How could this happen. I brought the tires at this and expect them to last the mileage that's stated. I've been finding little things after my service like caps being left fluids,tabs not being put back on etc. If I can't trust them to finish the small jobs right. I can't expect them to do the big jobs right. So, I probably won't go back to the Firestone in Burlington or any other one. Customer pay good money to trust the tech will do the job right. I had a flat tire when I woke up in the morning so I put the spare on and brought my car to firestone. There was a screw in the middle of the tread. The service tech (Richard)said I must've drove on it when it was flat and the inside of the tire was damaged and unsafe and I needed to replace the whole tire. Since it was an all wheel drive vehicle their policy mandates I replace two tires. I was hoping to just get it plugged since the screw was in the middle of the tire. I ordered 2 tires from tire rack, over $500. Tire rack sent them to another shop accidentally (thank goodness). Brady Automotive showed me the tire in question (and pictured). Zero damage, perfect condition. Richard or Dick completely lied, do not go here. They steal from hard working families to meet their sales & bonus targets. Its sad really. Went in twice today. First time, the one poor guy up front was on the phone, didn't even look at me or tell me he'd be with me soon- none of that. The waiting area had several people sitting. They were busy, no big deal. Didn't have too much time so came back after work. Round 2: This time no one is in the lobby but front man is still on the phone. After a few minutes he acknowledged my presence, said he'd be a minute. No problem. Minute or so later, he asks how he can help me (while still on the phone, whatever, I don't need undivided attention) I'm there for an oil change. Side note- I have brought my own brand new oil filter with me. I drive a vw and sometimes places don't have my filter, or want to charge me 50 dollars for this 9 dollar piece...see where this is going? He sees the filter box in my hand and says (still on the phone) we won't use your filter. You have to use our parts. How much is that? I ask. One hundred and ten dollars, he says. Yeah, no. I had an appointment for Sunday morning, called Saturday morning to see if I could bring my vehicle in as I had time. They agreed. I had purchased rims from tire rack and had them shipped to this store. They were recommended as an installer. I received my total from tire rack for what it would cost to swap them out on my vehicle. I show up and the guy could not grasp that I had ordered rims and they were shipped to them, once he understood he told me yeah we can't do that it's against company policy. I would need to buy tires as well. I have a brand new car, so I wasn't about to buy tires, nor was that said when I purchased and made the appointment to swap rims. The guy was rude so I kindly asked for my rims and went down the block to another tire shop and had it handled. I would never recommend this location! My first visit to the Firestone Auto Repair today and what a great experience. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman. I just needed an oil change and he said they would take care of it right away. They have a very nice little waiting area with a TV and before I could get many emails out, another gentleman came out and said I was ready to go. I was unable to get an online appointment. Then when trying to call I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on. I had to go over to make the appointment (11am) asking for a specific service (replace/repair 1 tire) with the same and check to find out why I have only one bald tire. I told them when I made the appointment what tires I wanted. They didn't order them. I dropped the car off. Two hours later I get a call from an advisor and it is a completely different service they are doing not what I asked for (she is talking about spark plugs). So I had to ask about the tire and she states she didn't realize that was what they were suppose to be doing. (Duh). They tell me they are in the middle of a state inspection, which I expressed I didn't want done until we decided whether I would get 4 or 2 tires (again they didn't order) and determine the root cause. So she says they only have some more expensive tire in stock and if I want it to pass state inspection I have to get the tires. I agreed to the two tires but I explain to her that the tires I currently had on the vehicle had 50K mile warranty and the car had not been driven that much. I also bought the tires at firestone. Also be mindful, we are in a pandemic the car was not driven as much because of stay at home order. She put me on hold twice while on the call to speak with the manager. She comes back and tells me they will take off the service I did not ask for and take off $16 off each tire (2). I agree. I get a call back later when my vehicle was completed. I asked had they pinpointed why there was only 1 tire that was bald. Johnny said he didn't know but would have answers when I arrived to pick up. When I got there, I ask about the reason. They stated it was because the car needed an alignment and the tires rotated. I have the lifetime alignments and the vehicle was just aligned 3200 miles ago at their facility. My last oil change was done 3200 miles ago at their facility. Why would they not rotate the tires when they are suppose to rotate them for free because I purchased them there. Johnny went to the manager to ask him why they would not be rotated and the next thing I know, the manager is telling me I have an attitude and I had his advisor on the phone for an half an hour. Then he tells me "so its suppose to me my fault you have bald tires?". I looked at him and said let me pay and get out of here because clearly you don't give a shit". He starts to get loud saying you are cursing here in front of these children and that is not appropriate". So then he starts acting childish staring at me, when I asked him why he was looking at me he said " oh I'm just looking around" and playing normal and then when I put my card in my wallet he starts the staring with the big eyes again. Completely childish! He never really allowed me to explain I wanted to know if there was an issue with the suspension, alignment or something else because putting a new set of tires on a vehicle would not help if there was a suspension problem. I also know I don't have to do service there that costs. I can continue to get my free services and pay someone else! There are plenty of places that can service all 3 of my vehicles. If they don't have workers I can certainly see why, it they are low performing I can see that too. A business is only as good as the leadership. If there was a way to give 0 stars I would. I took my truck to Firestone of Burlington on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. They were simply supposed to to do a Tire Rotation and Alignment and my vehicle was supposed to be ready at 11:00 at 12:38 I still hadn't heard from anyone and called up there. They advised it was ready and I could head that way. I pull up at 12:45 and they were just putting my truck into the lift. I walk in and all they say is "sorry I told you the wrong vehicle" so I leave and the truck isn't ready until 2:25. What a headache. Then I leave and the truck is making an odd noise, my husband isn't home at the moment so he can't check out at that moment!! Exactly 5 weeks ago the CV axles had to be replaced, something you shouldn't have to do often but guess what is broken again the moment that I leave Firestone. The CV axles!!!! This is absurd and another $700 down the drain. Thank you Firestone for being absolutely unhelpful!!! read more

They drove my car up front to park it and I noticed one of my backup lights was not working. They did an inspection and didn't notice. I asked them to replace it. They stated it had nothing to do with passing inspection. I explained since I was already there it would be nice if they could go ahead and correct it.
