Took our 21' Mazda CX-5 here on a recommend from our local service center. Our Mazda had developed oil leaks from the timing cover and valve cover. Our normal shop said this was more than they wanted to tackle and recommended Webster's. I called and explained our situation and they got in really fast. We left the car with them as we were going out of town and I received a call with an hour with the details and a quote for the repairs. We picked the car up when we got back in town. I'd been driving my 2008 Nissan Sentra with the Service Engine light on for some time. Got one of those inexpensive car monitor and diagnostic tool gizmos and got codes indicating "fuel injection system too lean" (P0171) and "cylinder random misfire" (P0300). Looked up the possible fixes and they ran the gamut from replacing fuel pump to other stuff. Bottom line: they identified the reason for the P0171 was a cracked air input. I had done very little maintenance on the car for months, since it was rarely driven, but they did a check on all that needed replacing (brake, a/c, power steering fluid, etc.), and suggested replacing the tire pressure monitors and spiffing up the headlights, but I declined the last two suggestions. They could have hit me up for a lot more than just replacing the air intake, but that was all that was needed to fix the Service Engine light. The prices were more reasonable than one other place I checked, and since a former coworker had used them religiously, I was glad I used them. Courteous, professional service, knowledgeable technicians and front office folks. Great job keeping me informed of what was going on. Here's one more plus: Costco offered a 15% discount certificate for members, which more than covered the cost of the annual membership (never mind having the cheapest gas in town). Webster's didn't hesitate to take it off the bill when I went in to pick up the car. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and enthusiastically recommend them. read more

Just wanted to add my recent experience with Webster's to the others. I used them to get some work done on my oldschool Miata after getting a recommendation for their shop from a friend. They did a great job and the work was done in a timely manner - my car runs perfect. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. I should add they're not the cheapest place in town, but then I wouldn't take my car to the cheapest place in town. They're not not unreasonable either though, and stand behind their work. Well I'll start with the first reason I was there. I went there to get a problem diagnosed where I heard a knocking noise on my front passenger side of the suspension (it was loud enough to startle my dog). I asked around a couple different shops and they all said it sounds like the axle or a strut issue not too sure until it gets looked at of course. Those shops were not available to actually fix my car for a couple of weeks out. I decided to go to Websters import service to give them a try. I dropped the car off and got a call back roughly about 3 hours later saying it was a wheel bearing. Now I actually know my way around cars pretty well and I just didn't have the tools or lift to get it done myself, so when I heard wheel bearing I was a bit shocked because normally you'll hear more or a roaring noise that gets louder over time and I never heard that it was very much a knocking noise. I asked around and everyone said that sounded weird but websters insisted that this was the fix and I'd be all set to go. The quoted me roughly around 350-400 dollars for the repair. I picked the car up around the time they were closing because I came from work and I needed to drive to a family event. The car had the same exact loud knocking noise so I call them in the parking lot because they locked the doors 10 mins before the closed(understandable) and they told me to bring it back to them on Monday so they can take a look at it. Monday comes and they tell a tech to take a ride with me to see if he hears the problem. We didn't even go a mile and he heard it and now he thinks it's a axle. He tells me that I didn't have an appointment and that I would have to speak to the manger to get one because that was a "favor" him riding with me to hear the problem. I spoke to the manager and he told me that the best he can do is for me to leave it and he'll work on it when he can so I dropped it off and he calls me saying that he didn't hear the knocking noise because "THE CAR MAKES TOO MANY NOISES INSIDE THE CABIN TO HEAR ANYTHING" that's the first time I ever heard that so that's when I told him I'll jus take my car back. I asked for a refund and we went back and fourth and basically he told me that because he threw away my other bearing he had to charge me for the unnecessary repair. After that he also added " oh yeah you need a water pump as well it's not leaking or anything but your thermostat housing is tied to the water pump so that would be an additional $1600...I declined. I then look over my car and come to find out the steel road guard I had on my car to protect it against road debris and speed bumps is just gone it was bolted in by 12 bolts all around it and more than likely had to be taken off to look at the car deeper when they had it for repair. When I called them back to address that they said they have no clue where it is and that it must've fell off when I was driving. If you really think about it it was a very big sheet of steel so if it just fell off I'm pretty sure I or someone behind me would've noticed/caught it in they're grill but I'm over that part I guess. Later I took my car to eurobahn and they actually fixed my water pump for 1000 no problems and they told me that the knocking noise was a bad strut bearing which I fixed myself I would stay away from this shop unless you need a very simple simple oil change maybe on a old ford/ Honda/Toyota read more

Great, HONEST, service. I took my car to Webster's for a repair that was diagnosed at a Toyota dealership. The price they quoted over the phone for parts and service was $200 less than I was quoted at the dealership, so i decided to give Webster's a try. After they examined my car, it turns out that it was not a $600 repair, but a lose bolt. They charged for me 15 minutes of labor and i was on my way. They easily could have performed the repair that i requested and made a good bit of money, but they refused and only performed the work that was necessary. They had an opportunity to take me for some money and they did not. All future work on my Nissan Murano and old Toyota will be done at Webster's. I honestly had a great experience and recommend them to anyone with an import. read more

I've only used them a couple of times but am thus far completely satisfied. The people are friendly, polite and they do what they say they'll do. The cost savings over using a dealer can be significant - I had a routine brake check warning light on. The local BMW dealer told me it'd cost around $200. Webster's charged me under $100. In fairness to the BMW I don't think all their work is at a similar discount to the dealer - a recent service cost was about what I'd expect to pay BMW. I have confidence in their work, since they've been around a while and were recommended to me. The shuttle is convenient too. Some little touches you don't get, but which BMW do offer, are a loaner car, which is nice, and a free car wash - but really, no major sacrifice. There might be cheaper alternatives but my impression is they offer similar competence and confidence that a dealer offers, at a sometimes somewhat lower price. I'm glad they're around to help keep the dealer honest and I'll use them again. read more

Back in 1993 I bought a Mazda MX-6 LS and immediately went about the task of finding a good NON-dealership shop for any future repairs. Mr. Webster had been the go-to guy in the Mazda dealership's shop but eventually went out on his own many years back. Got SUPERIOR service. Sadly, a few years ago, he passed away. However, his son Roger took over the business and has continued to provide excellent service for most foreign repair work... interior and exterior. True story: back around 2001-ish the car's rack and pinion steering started to go. I got an estimate from a local repair/tire store as it was right up the street from where I lived. They wanted $1500 for the repairs. That seemed la bit pricey, so I called up Roger. His estimate: $750!!!!!!!! I was astounded -- well, maybe I shouldn't have been. HALF price... REALLY!!!??? Yep! No need to go anywhere else for your automotive needs. And, yes, other reviewers have mentioned the free shuttle service. Nice driver, clean shuttle... very little waiting for delivery and pick-up of you and yours. Get there early (as with most shops). One time when I needed a car they even put me in a loaner (free). Wasn't the hottest vehicle on the road but it did the job. I've even sold them THREE of my cars!!! Roger just writes me out a check. No BS. And that Mazda? One of *THEIR* mechanics decided to buy it. Last time I was over there, Roger took me around back and "gave me a moment" with her. A twenty-five-year-old car! A little the worse for wear, but still running! Such a sweet little car. Got a lot of compliments on her. It was my third car and I have an emotional attachment to her. But don't tell my new car -- you know how jealous cars can be. First, the positives: I have been there on a few occasions and found them to be professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Also, their work seems to be of high quality. Now, the negatives: Although their labor prices are in line with most shops (a little pricey but OK if the work is good), they charge a premium for the parts they use- sometime to what seems to be a ridiculously high over-head. I have two examples of this: They wanted to charge me $336 for a new radiator. When I mentioned the fact that I could find one online for somewhere between $100 and $200, they reduced the price to $280. I had them do the repair since I was leaving town and did not have time to go elsewhere. I later found out their cost for the radiator was in line with what I could have purchased it for online. I forget what they called this parts surcharge but I think a more than 50% charge is exorbitant. The second case was for getting my power steering pressure hose replaced. The hose can be purchased almost anywhere for around $25, yet they want to charge me more than double that price. The good news is that I learned how to do the repair myself. I understand charging a bit of a surcharge but their policy is very extreme and they do not allow you to bring them a part you purchase elsewhere (for obvious reasons). I have worked with many other mechanics, including dealerships, that allow you to purchase the part and bring it to them. Even thought they do good work and otherwise good service, I would recommend going to a dealer before choosing Webster's since the labor cost is the same, there is not a surcharge for the parts, and in the end the quality of the work will be the same. read more

Always great service at fair prices. I have used Webster's for 20 + years and, over those years, they have done repairs on foreign and domestic vehicles for me. Always excellent results. A recent visit for a starting problem was promptly diagnosed and repaired to my usual satisfaction. Repairs needed have always been discussed and cost of repairs are also discussed before they begin service. Webster's has technicians who are extremely competent and they are always available to describe vehicle problems to customers. The entire staff has always been a pleasure to work with over the years.
