I've been in search of a good mechanic and have been told by multiple people to go to Beamer, this location specifically. Having heard that from several reputable sources, needing a yearly state inspection, I called and they were happy to make an appointment for me. I brought the car Vernon the day of the inspection, and they got it done quickly, I don't even think I waited 10 minutes. They have a small, but clean and comfortable waiting room. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. My car had no issues and hopefully doesn't for a while, but when it needs work, I'll certainly be bringing back to them. I can't begin to explain how well taken care of I feel after getting my vehicle serviced at Beamer, High Point today. As a single senior woman it is always daunting to try a new service center for my aged but low mileage vehicle. I had no choice, I moved here from Florida and it was time. From the get go, I was treated as if I had been coming to Beamer for years. That was so reassuring. Oil changed, air filters and tire sensors changed and me and my old girl feel like brand new. I have always had a good experience at this location until now. I needed (2) trailer tires for a double axle boat trailer which they offered to order. I'm currently towing the trailer on two tires because I removed the other two after being slashed. I asked if they would install the two new tires on the trailer (w/2100 lb boat attached) by jacking up the trailer with a floor jack in the parking lot 2" so I could slide the tires on. They refused saying 1st-they were scared the floor jack would sink into the asphalt b/c of the weight of the boat (ridiculous!) and 2nd-their air hose wouldn't reach the parking lot to tighten the lugs. I offered to hand tighten the lugs myself and when I commented that the floor jack would not sink into an asphalt parking lot with that weight, the questions came.... Why can't you use the same floor jack that you used to take the tires off? Does the marina have a jack? No, the boat is on my trailer at my house a mile from your shop and the tires were removed a Badin Lake by someone else who owns a floor jack, I don't. Well...3rd, we don't really deal with boats and trailers. And you won't deal with my tire needs any longer! P.S. The next tire shop laughed and said most tire places use cordless impact wrenches and jacking a trailer takes less time than raising and lowering a vehicle on a lift. read more

I never expected to be treated as well as I was treated here. Car maintenance is something that I usually dread. As a woman, we often are taken advantage of and treated as though we are idiots when we venture into a place to get any type of maintenance done. Beamer pleasantly surprised me. I called and scheduled and appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. When I walked in the staff greeted me as I opened the door. These guys are the definition of an honest mechanic! I had an object protruding from my tire, and I believed it was superficial and would not need a plug or a patch, but I wasn't positive and didn't wanna risk pulling it on my own. It was Good Friday and everywhere I called had a massive wait line and wouldn't even look at it until it was my turn. These guys were like "sure we have a long line but come on in we'll pull it out and see what happens. If it's superficial you'll be good to go if it's not will get you worked in" turns out it was superficial and they were kind enough to spare 10 minutes from their busy schedule to lend a young lady a hand read more

Beware! Called yesterday to make a 10 am appointment I told them my daughter goes to college at HP University. I see you're just down the road it would be convenient to work on her jeep. Her tires were out of balance, I noticed the weight's had fell off which caused vibration, he started to tell me all the other problems it might be. Me having jeeps all my life I said no it's the weights it's new. Hmm over sale! He then wanted my daughter's phone number. I told him no you will be dealing with me he paused and said ohhhh kk! Get there 10 minutes late next day HP can be a little timely getting through gates, they said they have a 5 minute late over rule you will have to make another appointment! Then he asked if I would want an alignment he was fishing to make a job he was not wanting to just do a tire balancing that's the bottom line! Then they told me they would not be able to anyway because the wheels are too big. I ask the guy if they could do 35" tires the day before knowing that every shop does not have the capability of doing larger tires he said yes. After taking off work you can imagine how pissed I was. After asking the guy his name he would not give it to me! So if the owner sees this and cares I can describe the guy. HP University is a big family and this will be posted on our page to warn future parents and students not to deal with this establishment. read more

These guys were Great!! The A/C went out on my Tahoe, I talked to Doug via text on Saturday and had an appointment Tuesday. David text me or called each time they found a problem and gave me options. I witnessed a Beamer employee "test-driving" a customer's car on Johnson Ave in High Point one day. I know because I followed him back past Beamer's and he pulled in after making a jaunt down Johnson and turning around. He was (clearly, intentionally) driving so erratically and insanely that I wanted to investigate. I had thought I would call the cops because he was switching back and forth between the 2 lanes and (aggressively) jerking the car, potentially endangering the other safety/lives of the other drivers on the road. Turned out he was "checking out" a poor, unsuspecting customers car. I would NEVER take my car there for fear that it would receive similar lack of respect, poor treatment and abusive "care". read more

When I moved to High Point 2 years ago, I began looking for a dependable, honest car repair shop to help me maintain my RAV4. A friend referred me to Beamer Auto. I have not been disappointed! I tend to be OCD about maintaining my high mileage car. Beamer Auto is wonderful about servicing/making repairs and honest with me when I "think" I need something like new brakes, tires, etc. it would be easy for them to simply sell me something but instead, they check it out and reassure me when the facts say otherwise. Allen especially has been great in keeping me up to date on what's going on with my car, what needs to be done, costs, ect. As someone with very little knowledge regarding car repair, I very much appreciate the transparency and professionalism of everyone in this entire shop. I wanted to add review after seeing the only other one on here was negative. These people are honest and always take care of our cars. I can't tell you how many times they have worked on our cars and it has always been 100% satisfactory. Several cases where they didn't charge us for minor repairs. I recommend them to everybody. Can't find better people. On a side note, the rant in other post about erratic driving is ridiculous. How do they know what they were test driving for.! They aren't even a customer. read more

I was traveling out of town and my tire was losing air daily. I went to Sams and they couldn't fix it for me because I was not a Sams Member. A man told me there was a tire store on the corner and to check with them. I went there and they took me in almost immediately. My tire was new so I figured it was just a valve stem. The guys at Beamer put it in the lift and took the tire off, only to find a small crack in my rim. I am leaving to go home the next day and could not make an appt to have it fixed at another local rim shop. The guys put an adhesive on my rim, a new valve stem and moved my tire from the front of the car to the back for my trip. When it was time to check out, they didn't charge me. I was in shock.
