I was on my way to Atlanta and decide to "top off" the antifreeze and oil. I pour three bottles of oil without checking my oil indicator. Turns oil my car Indicator showed 'too much oil'. Firestone staff Jaylen and Eric were very helpful and put my mind at ease . I observed that the place was overly crowded and yet all the customers were patient and excited... a sign of Good Workmanship for sure!!! don't know why I got carried away. Four guys sat on their phones for an hour and a half before starting my inspection. Took 15 minutes to even talk to me as I waited inside.

I scheduled a NC State Inspection 3 days prior, as I was assured that that appointments take priority. I arrived 15 minutes early, checked in, hand my keys and registration to the manager, who told me "There is an oil-change ahead of you and your are next." OK, I take a seat and 1 hour 25 minutes later I hear a CSR tell a lady that arrived 30 minutes after I did that her Mercedes was next for inspection. I got up and stated all of the above and wanted to know why I was being shoveled so much caca. I stated that the reason I made an appointment was that I wouldn't have to wait and ungodly amount of time. After the CSR rushes out to talk to the manager, she comes back in and tells me I am now next and then she rushes outside to tell the lady she misinformed her about the wait time. During the inspection, the CSR tries to tell me that I now need to pay an additional $10 Tinted Inspection Fee (my windows are not tinted). I call BS and let her know I much more informed about a car that I have owned for 20 years (2003 RAV4) than her technician has brain cells. After all is said and done I finally get my car, pay the $30 Inspection Fee, get my paperwork and leave. I will never darken the doorstep on this business again. Now I don't want to go away with just the complaint. I am going to offer up some suggestions that I know will get promptly dismissed. The manager needs to establish a standardized priority list, review it every time each technician finishes the vehicle they are working on and rotate the priority list in chronological order. The should install a speaker system in the waiting room and give updates as each vehicle is brought in and again when finished. That same system can be used to call each customer up to the service desk(s) to talk to him/her about and found issues with their vehicle. read more

Zero stars. Was blatantly lied to when I asked service members to check my rims for cracks. They said they did. They did not. I had two tires with low/no air. They told me the tires were fine and it was my tire pressure sensor that was broken. I left trusting them and drove all weekend around Charlotte on run flat tires before leaving town to go back north. On the interstate 1.5 hours outside of Charlotte I got two flat tires because the rims were cracked all along. If any service member working there had the slightest bit of competence all of this could've been avoided. These cracks are massive and completely visible to the naked eye. I had to pay for a tow truck, a hotel, and now new rims and tires. I will be reporting this location to the BBB and I'm exploring legal action for damages. read more

This is by far my fav Firestone location in town. They are always expedient when replying to online appt requests and if they can't accommodate the request, they are always helpful in finding another available appt. They are also really great about calling regarding what's going on with the vehicle in a timely manner and explaining all repairs and pricing options. They are excellent about giving discounts and applying coupons, as well! The three times I have brought my vehicle in, they have had in ready before or by the time requested. GETTING MY CAR SERVICED AT FIRESTONE COULDVE COSTED MY LIFE! I got a general inspection as I was going to be take a long drive to my new location out of state. I initially needed an oil change/filter but they said the car looked good, my back tires were balding so they changed both of them out. And I needed brake fluid.... as I was pulling off i heard a rubbing sound and something fell off. I start pushing on my breaks and it WOULD NOT STOP and because I have a fairly new car the emergency break is electrical and that would not work either. Thank god I only made it to the corner of my block and not the HIGHWAY.... now my caliber has busted because of their work. I would love to write down every detail of my awful experience, but it would be incredibly too long. So I will try to break it down to the most important parts. I went in for an oil change and ended up being stuck sitting in the same chair for over 9 HOURS. I made an appointment for 9 am and arrived early. After 3 hours my name was finally called out and staff told me I had some other issues I should take care of. Sucks, but honestly grateful and ready to get my car to the place it needed to be. I was told I needed more coolant and a new belt on top of my oil change. My check engine light was also on and I said I wanted them to check into that while they were at it. They had to send off to get a couple parts, which I understood. The parts were delivered about an hour and a half later, and I stared at the parts sitting on a counter for over an hour before someone came to get them. An hour after that I was pulled in to look at my tires because of low tread. I was then told to go back and sit down and they would check me out soon. 2 hours later I asked them to check on my car. They said they just had to put coolant in and then it would be done. An hour after that they said they were still adjusting the belt this "type of thing can take time" When I was finally checked out they said they ended up not even changing my belt because the "wear wasnt that bad" and even after they discounted me $65 for labor (thanks.) my total was $527. I asked to see the receipt and they also changed my engine gasket which no one even told me needed to happen. I asked "oh is this from the check engine light?" no explanation was given. I was ready to just leave (my exhaustion was definitely a benefit to them) and when I went to my car - the check engine light was still on - I didnt have a sticker about my oil change - and when I got home the emailed receipt was for a completely different car service (car inspection and alignment) This place is just a mess. I can tell they were good people - but the level of disorganization is detrimental. I heard staff yelling at each other including hearing things being thrown. I try to be a very understanding person - especially in a time where many places are understaffed. They had plenty of staff that day. And along with that - they kept making me feel like they were almost done. I would have much preferred if at 10am they told me it would take a while and I would have ubered home. Instead every 2 hours I was given false hope that I was almost done. It was even worse that after the grooling 9 hours everything was a mess. I honestly don't even know what was done or not done to my car. (Marilyn was great. She should not be reprimanded.) read more

I recently got an oil change and tire rotation at this location. I was quoted about 30-45 minutes.. pretty reasonable. BUT I waited 2 and a half hours, not acceptable!! Because I get a tire rotation for "free," I paid $65 for an oil change. My mom does a lot of work under the hood of my car and she just so happened to working in this area.. turns out, they didn't screw in the oil filter correctly so oil has been leaking out, and it's all over the oil pan too. VERY disappointed!! Why do I waste my money on someone that can't even do something this simple. I will return for my "free" tire rotations, but NEVER for any other work. read more

I had a really great experience at this Firestone! I got a flat and had my spare put on, and after going to Discount Tire across the street (don't do it if you value your sanity) I went over to Firestone. They were super busy with pre-Thanksgiving travel car repairs, but their service was still above average. I was greeted immediately, explained my situation, and after thoroughly explaining why my tire couldn't be repaired they promptly checked their system for a replacement tire. They explained the cost and were transparent about the wait time, so I opted to schedule for the next day when I could wait. On the next day, the tire replacement took all of 30 minutes, and they even helped me to apply an old tire warranty discount from 2017. As I sat and observed, all of the staff were super pleasant and gave all customers thorough explanations of their maintenance (which I can imagine is difficult, dealing with disgruntled customers who are annoyed that their car needs work). Special shout out to Mr. Jason who jumped in and helped me through the entire process! As a young woman, I appreciate that I felt heard and not bamboozled as I often do when it comes to car maintenance. They're a solid business! read more

Bad experience. We were traveling and we're out of state. I picked up a nail in a tire, took it to Firestone the next day for repair. It took about an hour and a half and they charged a little over thirty bucks. That's the good news. Now the bad news. The tire continued to leak. We were traveling and I didn't see the problem until later. I kept the tire inflated until I got back to VA and went back in for repair. It turns out the Firestone patch had failed and ruined the tire. I had to buy a new one, cost $200. Attached picture is the failed repair performed by Firestone. Dropped my car to get my oxygen sensor fixed and was waiting for 2 in a half to 3 hours just to be told they ordered the wrong part. Mind you, I called them for update, no one reached out to me. Furthermore me asked for a discount due to me having to take off of work I was rudely denied of the discount due the inconvenience on THEIR end. Came back the following day hoping that I would get my car fixed since they claimed they ordered the right part. Different day, same results still no oxygen sensor replacement ! I woke up to a partially flat tire. Went to fill it with air on the way to the gym. By the time I left the gym, it was back to the way it was. I came to this Firestone and they found a hole, plugged it, and I was on my way. I actually took a Lyft home because they couldn't get to me right away. Anyway, I drove off and started running errands. Went to Target, come out and, what do you know, the tire was practically flat again. I took it back over to them only to find out that my tires were just BAD. I had a bad batch of tires and they had to order, not one, but two new tires from somewhere near Gastonia or some place that was about 30 minutes away. I became comfortable in the waiting area while someone went to get the tires to bring them back and put them on. It was a long day, to say the least. But at least I am comfortable knowing I have two great tires and hopefully won't be stranded on the side of the road. They did great work and I would definitely recommend them. read more

They had just gotten their truck in so they didn't have to go anywhere to locate the tire. Although Mr Jeremy was super nice, they told me an hour and a half. It took them 3 hours to put one tire on. I took my car in to get the starter looked at because my car was having an issue turning over to start. I was charged $41 and was told there was nothing wrong with the car. I then took my car to a Honda dealership where I had the starter replaced and the car has been working fine ever since. I use to like this Firestone location but they have fallen off. Came here for a state inspection... it's close to work and convenient so I made an appointment in advance. It was only about 45 minutes, but then they told me my wipers would not pass. Given the option to fail it or buy their wipers that were over priced, I chose to fail it and made an appointment to return the next week. Everyone at this initial appointment was very friendly. I returned at my appointment time the next week with new wipers (saved like $5) and my car sat there untouched for 40 minutes. I get they are busy, but what is the point of an appointment then? I took off work early to get here at 4 since they said the same guy that did the first inspection wouldn't be there at 5. Turns out I don't even think it's the same guy. They finally take the car back at 4:45 and tell me it'll be another half hour because the WHOLE car needs to be reinspected. They failed to mention that before. They also were not nice about me asking about the status on the re-inspection. Go figure, it only took them 10 minutes anyway. I hate being that person that complains and puts up a fuss to get what they want, but it was the only way I was getting the service that I booked in a timely manner. It would've been nice if they had told me at check in that they were running so behind. I happened to instagram story about this incident and corporate actually responded within 30 minutes with an apology and offered to escalate the issue. I received a call from the location manager the next day. Unfortunately he was more defensive than apologetic. Do not go here!!! I went here during the summer of 2018 to get my car's air looked at because my it had stopped working. I was told the compressor was the issue and was quoted a bill over $1000!!!!!! This place literally saved our lives! I've never dealt with such fantastic customer service with people who really went out of their way to help a customer. Long story short, we were stuck with a rental car from hell that needed an oil change, new brake pads, and new rotors. (P.S. Never rent from Action Car Rental in NYC) Steve S. at Firestone solved our problems quickly and made sure to make us feel safe and cared about. Although the rental company agreed to reimburse us, he helped keep the costs low. Turns out all four brake pads were essentially gone, and grinding metal on metal. I wish I could give this place negative all of the stars in the known universe. On the first occasion I went in for a routine oil change which ended up taking 2 and a half hours. They gave me a free oil change as a consolation prize. So I decided to give them another chance. So this past summer I went in to get my A/C fixed. They then misplaced the caps that seal the refrigerant in the A/C system by crushing one in my hood latch and losing the other one completely. Days after this repair the A/C stopped working and to this day my hood will not fully close. Such an incompetent group of clowns. Never bring your car here. read more

AVOID this Firestone location at ALL COST!!! I've brought my vehicle in twice already for an issue involving a brake job that they've done. Brakes kept squealing and their solution was to grease the guide pins (piss poor job as it splattered all over like a 5 yr old trying to paint) the first time. They said if the issue wasn't fixed, they'd downgrade me to a "semi-metallic pad" to resolve the issue. Second and last recent time I went, they gave me the runaround that it's the rear brakes that squealed and not the front. Stated "the pad is rubbing on the inner rotor which has rust, hence causing the squeal". I pointed out that pad never comes in contact with the rusted part of the rotor. Then they said the rears were due anyways since the pad was low. I corrected "John" again pointing out the pads are brand new with more than 8mm of pad left. It's absurd they tried to upsell me on a rear brake job when the front ones haven't even been fixed! Beware, these folks are either uninformed or dishonest... Daughter scheduled an appointment for inspection and brake rotor turn, with a quoted price of $110. After she arrived, she was told that turning the rotors would be $195, and this amount did not include the inspection. When she asked the manager the reason for the price change, he said they had to take the rotor off the axle; thinking even the most mechanically challenged would realize this. Her car failed the inspection; when the manager explained, he showed her some fluid near the power steering reservoir, that he called a leak??? (not a big surprise on a 2006 Toyota Camry with 196,000) He advised cutting some lines and clamping in new line pieces to fix the issue??? To top it off, she was told the rear brake pads needed to be replaced! Made the 4 hour r/t and left her a replacement car. Had my local mechanic check the discrepancies the following day. They determined there is no leakage of steering fluid, and rear brake pads are fine. Rotors turned for $70 total and inspection complete. Fooled her twice, never again. She had a similar experience during an inspection the previous year. read more
