My son is a sailor, and while on leave, took his Honda Pilot in for service. He has used A & B since he started driving 8 years ago. They did an excellent job on making sure his car was well maintained, and serviced. He had them replace the rear window washer arm. The Technician knew that he only had one day to get the work complete. The technician not only stayed late to finish up the work, he also had the kindest words for his service in the Navy, but also shared some of his personal stories of his experience with his family and the military. I will definitely be a repeat customer. My TPM sensor needed to be replaced. I got a quote up front and repairs done in a couple of hours when I thought I'd have to leave it overnight. Mike didn't try to sell me new tires, but was honest and let me know I could go at least a year longer. A & B is my new tire store! After reading Ricardo's review, my doubts were validated. I have never had to put brakes on any of my vehicles at 35,000 miles until I took the that I owned at the time. I left there and swore I'd never go back.....and I haven't nor would I. If my car broke down right in front of this business, I'd pay whatever it took to have it towed anywhere else read more

Not impressed at all. Went in for a safety inspection for my car and it automatically failed due to a check engine light on. Which is understandable but then they tried to charge me $115 just to get a diagnosis. No thank you, I'll go down to Autozone up the road to get a diagnosis for FREE. Friendly guy working at the front but I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want to spend triple the amount of money you could spend somewhere else. read more

I had gone to a local dealership for routine maintenance and they told me that I needed new brakes. I was skeptical and decided to get a second opinion at A&B. They were prompt, courteous and honest. I found out that I didn't need brakes after all. We will be back for all of our auto repairs. read more

I went in asking for a vehicle emissions inspection. They informed me i would need to add oil to the vehicle and suggested an oil change, also informed me i had a side marker light out. So, 34.95 for the oil change, 25.00 for a side marker light. I said, could i go down to the napa on the corner and get the bulb and a quart of oil and just fix it myself? The lady behind the counter told me if i brought it back at the latest 4:30 they would finish the inspection. I left for just 20 minutes, added fuel to the car, changed the bulb in the gas station parking lot while at the pump and added a quart of oil. I walked back in at 4:28 and informed them that i fixed the two issues, The gentleman behind the counter told me they couldn't do it today, and wouldnt have an opening until wednesday, which was in two business days. Now, NC inspections are something that happens daily, something very routine, extremely common, this man simply just wanted to make money off of me. He already ran the inspection on the car told me what i needed fixed and everything. I fixed it, brought it back in the time frame i was instructed, he simply chose not to help me because i decided to fix the two problems he was going to charge me 60 dollars for. Not to mention, everything that the lady stated, he would retract and even interrupt her as she was talking. She was clearly trying to be customer appreciative and supportive. He clearly just wanted to make money. Absolutely unbelievable and quite frankly disrespectful. I will never go here again. Not to mention, their business hours for this day, closing time was 5:30. Plenty of time. If there was a zero star option. Thats the one i would choose. read more

I come from a family of auto mechanics but recently found myself in need of some car repairs while in the Mooresville NC area. My family suggested that I try A & B Automotive. I must say they sent me to the best place. This shop was the answer to my needs and prayers. Not only is the manager/owner, Mike Blaney, completely open, honest and friendly, but he is very knowledgeable. He repaired my timing belt and was actually the most economical choice. I try to do my homework before I agree to paying for work to be done. He and his staff proved that I made the right choice. His entire staff was verybopen, honest and knowledgeable! read more

A & B has serviced our cars exclusively for several years. Appoints preferred but walk-ins handled as soon as possible. If you are looking for a truly honest and reasonably priced auto service you have found it. Mike always tells me what I need now and what will need attention in the near future, a much appreciated "heads up" especially on major purchases such as tires (where he is also cost competitive). Having said all of that, the most important characterization of A & B is honesty and integrity - these come first with Mike and his employees. read more
