I have a 2016 Honda CR-V. The car has less than 30,000 miles on it. Well, I needed an inspection sticker and have been having trouble with slow leaks in two of my tires...no nails, no rocks, but I noticed the tires were very dry. Since I live close to Firestone Complete Auto Care I decided to go to them. I made an appointment and they were able to take me the next day. I walk in and was greet by such a polite young man. He wrote up the slip and was going to call or text me after they started doing the inspection. I received a call that everything was fine but I needed new tires to pass inspection. I went back to speak with him and he explained that because my tires were 10 years old, they were very dry and had little cracks in them...no surprise there! So he recommended several tires in all different price ranges. I spoke with my husband and we chose one of the better Bridgestone brand tires (which is what we had on the car.). He gave us all of the discounts and promotions being offered and we paid less for the best tires than we would have for the lower priced ones. I believe after a $180 rebate Visa card, $50 discount then another 5% off the total with alignment and balancing netted out to $550 . When I picked up my car and drove home I definitely noticed a huge difference ...the ride is smooth, the car handles much better with no pulling to the right and it is so much quieter! I would definitely recommend the Firestone in Warwick Mall to everyone. I stopped here to get my emissions inspection. The guy at the counter (I believe his name was Craig) was just short and not very friendly at all. Customer service staff should make people feel welcome and appreciated. I did not feel one nor the other. After that experience, I would not recommend this business to anyone. I do NOT recommend Firestone. They upsell on things that are not needed. Super expensive and their technicians are just that and not licensed mechanics. They upsold me on a service I didn't need, didn't complete the job correctly, had to go back numerous times, and had to get it fixed elsewhere. I was told I would be refunded for the work and am now being ignored by upper management even though I have had multiple conversations saying I would be refunded. read more

BUYER BE WARE!!! Worst buying experience ever. I needed a new tire last month for my tesla. Was told I had to buy two @ $500 each and they were the only ones that fit my car. Because they were so expensive I asked for any kind of waranty or protection on them and was told there were no options available. Two weeks lateron March 7th I blew both tires, the manager of the location (Same person that sold me the tires) told me with a smile that I would have been covered if I paid for the $50 "Road hazard protection. This is what I asked for and was denied. He then offered me 2 "FREE" tires that would would require me to buy a road hazard package totaling $895 after taxes. The tires were $500 each, so nothing was free, he was offering me a $105 discount?? Will never shop here again, total scam artists and extremely rude!! Had a 10am appointment dropped car off was told I'd be contacted after they did their "inspection" I was charged 10$ for. I was going in for rear brakes. Anyway 2 hours no call so I call them of course they try to sell me on tires, filters etc. told them I only wanted my brakes after their hearing their outrageous cost 600+ I had to accept I needed them done ASAP. Now 2 hours before close I had to contact them to see what's up to no surprise still not done will be within hour. Place is a rip off and joke overcharging and dragging feet. Went into Firestone to get a slow leak in a Tesla Model 3 tire (18" aero) repaired. Kevin, the local manager, was very well organized and explained the process very clearly - he had already done his research about the car. The crew were very efficient. They understood how to jack the car correctly. They were also familiar with how to peel back the noise reduction foam inside the tire to make a repair. Entire repair was $20. My thanks for very good customer service. For Tesla owners please note I had already been to 2 other tire repair centers (before finding Firestone) that had been so unfamiliar with the Tesla that they had incorrectly told me they couldn't work on the car. In one case they said it used run-flats - it doesn't, they were just wrong. In another case the center's lift system was not really designed to correctly raise the car - Tesla's have specific lift points and the car is low to the ground.) read more

I brought in my Toyota and they told me I needed synthetic oil. I didn't think this was true and said so, but they insisted their computer system said synthetic only and they wouldn't be allowed to put conventional in. The car was fairly new to me and this was the first time I'd changed the oil-- I wasn't 100% sure they weren't correct and wasn't willing to pull out the manual and make a huge deal out of it. Of course when I looked it up, conventional would have been completely fine. Other than that service was friendly and the car was ready right when they told me it would be. But upselling me on a synthetic oil definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be back here. read more

Justin the service Manager is great but what's the point of making an appointment if your car isn't going to be taken in until 45mins later. Oil Change and Windshield wipers should not take over 2hrs. But again my fault because I was suppose to never come to this Firestone again I've had well over 8 bad experiences with this location. BEWARE OF THIS FIRESTONE LOCATION!! DO NOT DROP YOUR CAR KEY INTO THEIR DROP SLOT!! My husband dropped our key fob into their key drop slot for our car to be worked on the following morning. The Firestone store manager claimed they never got the key!! He also claimed that they did not even have a scheduled work order/appointment in their computer for the car! My husband made the appointment in person at the store the previous day with another store employee. He was told to drop the key into their key drop that night so that they could work on the car first thing in the morning! As of now, what I know to be a fact is that they absolutely lost the key because it definitely went into their key drop slot!! It was in a sealed letter size envelope with the name, license plate number, and phone number on it! Upon seeing the key drop slot the next day, I was shocked to see that the keys inserted into that slot just DROP TO THE FLOOR (or whatever else might be under the slot at any given time). There is no type of secure drop box on the other side of the drop slot!! And, that drop location is probably less than 1 foot from the garage door! When the garage door is open, if a key was dropped in the slot, anyone would be able to access that key as it is laying on the floor by the open garage door!! How incredibly inept and unsecure is that?!! Since the key has gone missing at this Firestone store, every single person I have spoken to at Firestone (store manager, area manager, regional manager) has been extremely rude and offered no assistance whatsoever as to trying to determine what could have happened to that key! They only search they did was to look on the floor below the drop slot!! THAT IS IT!! The store manager did not even contact the employee that made the appointment the previous day about the lack of a work order in the computer! The only thing I hear from them is "we do not have your key!" End of story for them, but not for me!! Firestone has only proven to me that they are totally incompetent in every area!! They do not seem to care at all that our key which we left in their care, and was in an envelope with identifying information as to where the car associated with that key might be located, has gone missing from their store!! Now, I am worried that our car could be stolen (especially when at home because it is easy to find an address when you have a name)! It is so easy to steal a car when you have the key!!!! read more

I had a BMW technician installed new control arms, tie rod ends and all that good stuff on my BMW. After work was complete I noticed my steering wheel was not centered and my car swayed to the right. I took my car to Firestone in East Providence told them what was wrong and they knew exactly what to do. They not only listened to my concerns but were friendly courteous and professional. I don't always write reviews but as soon as you mention BMW some shops would give me ridiculous price quotes. Jokers. Brought car in during the spring because my tire was punctured, leaked, and went flat. They put on a tire and that one went flat. Got a tow to bring it back and they fixed it. They didn't charge me for the tire but I should have learned my lesson. In August, my alternator died. They replaced it and the battery. Did it pretty quick, nice guys, no problem. Last week, it got below freezing, car wouldn't start, so I got it towed to Firestone. Weather warmed up that day. Battery and alternator tested fine and car started. They called to say they didn't find a problem. I came in to pick it up, reminded the guy behind the desk it's the end of December, it's going to get below freezing again, and my car is probably not going to start. Couldn't you find what was wrong with it? He said "No." So what am I supposed to do when it gets cold again? He said "Pray." Yeah, he said "Pray" as he put his hands together. It got cold overnight three days later and I had the car towed to the dealer. They called within 30 minutes to say it was the starter, the thing that starts the car. I am praying now. Great customer service. I brought in my Nissan and had 4 new tires put on. They discovered the dealer had ruined some of the bolts that hold the tire on when they put the wrong locking nuts on the car. They stayed well past closing time to fix the problem so I could drive it home that night. read more

Not surprisingly, my 1998 Subaru failed inspection. I was, however, surprised to hear from a smaller, independent auto shop that repairs would cost $210 when Firestone had quoted me $560. In addition, I was surprised when the smaller auto shop spotted a necessary fix on my rear tire that surely should have failed me for safety reasons but was left unnoticed by firestone. read more

Yes, there are local independents who are cheaper, and maybe more specialized on your type of vehicle. But what if you need work done on a weekend, can't be bothered leaving it off all day, etc? This is a better alternative than missing work and/or dealing with rides and rental cars. This location has always gotten me in and out in a few hours, even at odd days and times, and has seemed friendlier and less chaotic than the bigger Warwick Mall location. They have been friendly too, though the faces seem to change. I hope this isn't another corporate nightmare for those who need to work there. As for the typical pressure to buy services not yet needed, I've never encountered it here. read more

I'm not sure about other services, but I'm basing this review on a tire replacement. Seemed to be the closest place to me that was open for service on a Sunday. Tom helped me out and seemed to really try to get me the best deal on a good tire. They actually had an exact match to my wife's 2013 VW Jetta Sportwagen. I needed brake work on my car and was hoping to do it over the weekend. I called this shop on Saturday to schedule an appointment. I dropped the car off first thing Sunday and was assured the work would be done by the end of the day. When I did not hear from someone, I called at 1pm and was reassured the work would be done by the end of the day and someone would call soon with a diagnosis. I called again at 3pm and 4pm with about the same level of success. I FINALLY received a call at 5pm and was told I needed new pads and rotors for the rear. However, it was too late in the day and I would need to leave my car for one more day. I took the car to a local mechanic. Firestone's quote for the pads was $189.99. I ended up paying $89.99 at the mechanic I took it to. Firestone's quote for rotors was $281.98. I ended up paying $139.96 at the other mechanic. I will NEVER go to Firestone again. I misled about time to perform the work. I was not called when I was told I would be. The price of their work is significantly higher than a local credible mechanic. read more

**THIS LOCATION IS OPEN ON SUNDAYS !** I was treated very well by the manager, Justin; and the service was accurate and about as prompt as auto-care can be. This location moves cars quickly, and you are treated respectfully and fairly. I was in for routine check/maintenance. They handled everything well, no surprises or unexpected sales pitches. This is a good alternative to the Firestone in Providence on Main Street (which always seems to be too busy, or closed). I went to Firestone yesterday because I had a headlight out. I had already heard from numerous people that it was a very easy fix and something that should be quick and cheap. I was in NH when I noticed the problem and called some shops up there. VIP (which is similar to Firestone) told me it would cost 15 dollars for the part and 25 for the labor. That seemed reasonable. I had to get my car fixed in RI though so I went to Firestone. The guy at Firestone made me wait forever while he clicked through his computer and then told me that it would cost $189 dollars to change my headlight. He made up some bogus reason about how hard it is to change the headlight. I was absolutely infuriated since this guy was obviously just trying to take advantage of me, a young female. I left Firestone and drove the 5 minutes to Pepboys. Pepboys changed my headlight with no problems, and it cost me $36 dollars. Firestone is a terrible business and I can't imagine how they have the audacity to try to rip me off like that. Imagine if an older person or someone without a clue went in, and got totally taken advantage of? I wish that Firestone would get shut down. I will definitely never go there again. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRESTONE LOCATION! Brought my car in 3 times for a front end rattling problem. First time they replaced the Sway Bar Links for $300. Plus charged me for Car Care Package $10 and Vehicle Inspection $21.99 :( . Recommended a tune-up and new brakes. A week later the rattle came back, when I called the service agent asked if I had done the recommendations and that was probably the problem NOT-LOL. Took the car in and the lug nuts on front tires needed tightening. Service agent said I might need to replace lug nuts NOT-LOL. A week later the rattle came back.... did not bother going back. Took it to another FIrestone and was told reason lug nuts keep coming lose is because they weren't "seating" the tire properly on the wheel causing them to keep getting loose. After all of this I truly question if the Sway Bar Links were necessary at all. RIP OFF!!!! read more
