Went to Valvoline first and had a terrible experience. I reluctantly went to this jiffy lube location immediately after and had a great experience. They were patient and explained everything to me since it was my first time there. They changed my oil, vacuumed and filled my windshield washer fluid. Very kind and hard working people. Pulled in parking lot and was taken in immediately for an oil change and to put air in my tires. I was told to go to a waiting room where there is a giant sign stating "please wear face mask". None of the mechanics or technicians are wearing masks. I wait for about 5 minutes then a technician tells me that the specific oil change my car needs is $100. I have never in my lifetime paid that much for an oil change, ever. I tell the employee I I don't want the $100 oil change, but ask if they can please put air in my tires. He says ok, and yes. He comes back to the waiting room 5 minutes later says I'm all set and no charge to put air in my tires. Then he asks me to drive it out of the garage bay because (his words not mine) "We're Puerto Rican, we don't drive stick shift". I enter the garage, get in my car and notice the tire pressure sensor light is still on. I ask the technicians in the garage if that will go away once I drive a little and they assure me yes. The tire pressure light did turn off, so I'm thankful they remedied that issues. But $100 for an oil change and techs that can't drive a 5 speed? No thanks. read more

I have been here three times and staff has been helpful and do not seem to push me into any "extra" jobs I fee I do not need. The first two times I said no to an air filter change but this time I feel it was needed so they did the work. No hidden fees or charges "after" the work was done. Recently I had a loud rattling and was near by so I stopped in and they took a look, found the culprit in five minutes. It wasn't something they work on so I was recommended a place to get it fixed and was on my way. read more

I went at 1:30 on a Sunday to get an oil change and one of the mechanics came out and asked me to come back in 30 minutes because they were on their lunch break. If there was only one person working I'd understand but there were at least two. This isn't a mom and pop shop...it's a Jiffy Lube. read more

JIFFY LUBE IS A RIP OFF AND A SCAM, the store manager (Jordan Gooding) employs shady sales tactics to try to jib your money, DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Recently both my car and my mom's car needed a refrigerant refill, so my cousin suggested Jiffy Lube since that's where he went to refill the refrigerant for his car for $90, albeit it was at a different Jiffy Lube in Middleton RI. The thing is, I have never brought my car to a Jiffy Lube before, but I have read many bad reviews/horror stories in regards to Jiffy Lube on sites like Yelp and Reddit, in which most of the reviews correspond to the unethical tactics used by Jiffy Lube employees to jib customer's money. My mom still suggested that we should just go to Jiffy Lube for our refrigerant refill despite me informing her all these bad reviews online, her reasoning was that Jiffy Lube is a chain store, surely they can't all be unethical. In the end, my mom persuaded me to at least go to this specific Jiffy Lube to check if their refrigerant refill is indeed $90, which brings us to this negative review. The moment we rolled onto the driveway of this Jiffy Lube, the manager strolled out and asked us what the problem was. I told him that both of our car's AC was broken and asked him how much does it cost to fix it, to which he replied $120. I then showed him my cousin's receipt where on it states that the refrigerant refill only cost $90. After going over the receipt, the manager said that my cousin's refill was $90 because it only includes the refrigerant refill, the $120 he offered included an AC test fee. I then specifically told him that we only want to refill the refrigerant, and if that cost $90 here, to which he replied "yes". I then quickly discussed with my mom and we both agreed to refill our refrigerant here. Fast forward to after refilling the refrigerant for both cars and it was time to pay. The manager rang us up and said $123.63 for the first car, it was at that exact moment my heart sank and I thought to myself "Here it is, I am the fool for coming to Jiffy Lube despite reading all those bad reviews online." I then asked the manager that I thought we agreed it was only $90 for the refrigerant refill, why are you charging me $120. He replied: "The refrigerant refill indeed cost $90, but it comes with the $30 AC test fee, which you have to pay if you want to refill your refrigerant." I argued with him: "That is not what we agreed upon earlier, and why didn't you tell me beforehand that the refrigerant refill has to come with the AC test fee?" He points to a price catalog on the wall and said: "It says here that the refrigerant refill is $90 and the AC test fee is $30". I was about to argue with him that nowhere on the sign says that the AC test fee has to come with the refrigerant refill when my mom started to pull out her wallet. She probably acknowledged that she should have listened to me when I told her all the bad reviews about Jiffy Lube and decided that it wasn't worth our time to argue with people who have lost all sense of morality and ethics for greed. Looking back, the manager of this Jiffy Lube seems to be unfamiliar with the concept of treating your customers right in order to retain their continued business, I guess Jordan here believes it's more profitable to jib some extra money from customers one time to have them never coming back. For those that are reading this, please take my mistake as a warning and bring your car to somewhere else for services. This will be the first and last time I ever bring a car to Jiffy Lube, they have lost my business forever and I will definitely be telling all my family and friends to never go there as well. read more

4 Stars for Auto Service Every time I go in they take my car right away and finish my oil change in less then 15 minutes. They do try to upsell an air filter or whatnot but I always refuse. There are always coupons online so usually you can get an oil change for 30 bucks and they vacuum your car as well. 15 minutes in and out and a vacuum for 30 bucks. You can go during your lunch hour. Although some time has passed I need to share my experience. I had taken my car to this location a few times for an oil change. One time it wasn't vacuumed and sticker wasn't put on windshield. I doubted the oil change had ever happened. I wasn't in the system the next time I went. I then went to another garage and they tell me they will not do my oil change because the oil plug was stripped and there was a solvent around it. So I go back to Jiffy lube for an oil change done no mention of it. I went back one last time and asked about it and was basically was told by the manager how do we know it was done somewhere else.. Although that was the only place I had taken my car for and oil change I didn't have proof. All I can say is shady business. I will never go back. I just assume replace the oil pan before give another dime to this place. read more

Pros: fast service amicable staff they take you out to your car to show you what they will be doing Cons: when they take you to your car, they do not tell you how much the services will cost (ie, they ask what kind of oil you want, without informing you of the $20 difference, nor the fact that your air filter will cost an additional $30.) they charged $70 for an oil change (WITH an $8 coupon!) I went here thinking, I'm new to the area, let me just get a quick oil change from a reputable name until I find my own mechanic. This place is garbage. They tried to charge me for all these extras. $15 for coolant. $40 for a filter. Yada yada yada. I said next time. So I knew I needed to add coolant so I opened the hood and the windshield fluid reservoirs cap was open... Great service. Then I try them again. With a different car. They charge me $5 for an extra quart of oil since my car takes 6 instead of 5. Ok no problem. Then every time I go to get an oil change again they always tell me I am one quart short. So I get my oil changed and right after I checked to see if my oil was full. Low and behold it was low! What a surprise. Crooks here charging me an extra 5 for nothing. read more

When the engine temperature light lit up on my dashboard, I could feel a rush of anxiety coursing through my system. My heart beat faster, and I felt so alone and helpless. It was the start of the weekend. Where would I turn? Then, I thought of Jiffy Lube on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence, where, in the past, I had my oil changed a few times. I called, first, to check on the customers lined up for service and the potential wait. Marc answered, and instantly sounded professional, empathetic and informative. He told me that there was no line, at that moment, and that I should make my way up there as soon as possible, which I did. From start to finish, my experience was truly outstanding. I was greeted pleasantly and given all the information I needed to make a confident decision. The waiting room was comfortable, but, most importantly, I was comfortable. Everything was explained to me and lined up with what I knew to be true about the condition of my vehicle. Jordan did a remarkable job, and went above and beyond in terms of customer care and representing the Jiffy Lube brand standards. Ultimately, I need a radiator replacement, which I will have done immediately, but Bob, Marc, Jordan, Garrett, and the rest of the crew at Jiffy Lube North Providence took exceptional care of me. I had them do a lube, oil and filter change, transmission fluid servicing, coolant check and top-off and a chipped glass repair, and I was out of there in very little time and back on the road. Before I left, I spoke with Bob, the manager, who also gave me great advice and insight on what I needed to have done most urgently. Bob even gave me a recommendation on how to get my radiator replaced without paying too much for the new radiator. Jiffy Lube doesn't do that kind of work, yet Bob was kind enough to educate me. It's refreshing to know that one can go to a big chain service center, like this one, and still receive the attention and care of a mom and pop enterprise. I cannot recommend this particular Jiffy Lube enough. What a terrific group of automotive professionals! They have earned my loyalty and trust. read more

Nothing really above and beyond, they do the job without any additional fanciness about it....but when I'm getting my oil changed, I'm not extremely picky. Every time I've gone they take my car right away pending no line [which I've yet to encounter and I go right after work] and finish in 15-20 minutes, never had to wait any longer than that. They've tried to up-sell me every time with air filters, which I'll just clean and/or buy elsewhere. They did let me know about a possible transmission leak, without further selling, so I'll be looking into that one. Price is pretty usual for oil changes, nothing absurd and the first time I was able to use a coupon. I will say the employees have always been extremely friendly and nice. read more

These guys are super nice and very quick. They most certainly will try to up-sell on certain things, but they are NEVER pushy. The last time I visited this location, the mechanic offered to fix my windshield chip, indicating that, with full coverage, it would be of no cost to me. This is a win-win. I came in for an oil change and half hour later walked out with that and a fixed windshield, while they received the payment from the insurer. The average cost of an oil change can be a little higher than most other places, especially if you choose the high mileage oil, but I find it to be worth it. BEWARE: I took my Honda CRV for an oil change there a few weeks back. While changing the oil in my car, they took out my cabin filters and showed me how dirty they were. Because I'm too busy to research this myself, and because I have allergies, I had them replace the filters at a cost of $50.00 (probably cost less than $10 at any parts store). Later that day, when I went to turn my A/C on, the fan was making noises and barely working. Later that night, it stopped working altogether. So, I had to drive my car for two days with no defogger or A/C. When I took the car back to Jiffy Lube, one of the line crew barked out that, "that car was not fixed here" and "we didn't go into your glove box. The manager, Jordan, quickly silenced him by stating that they did indeed work on my car and replace the cabin filters via my glove box just two days prior. I'm actually surprised the line crew guy forgot me because I tipped a few dollars for a coffee. Lesson learned there as well... Jordan looked at the issue and said that a pen was jammed in the fan and it caused the motor to go out. He offered to replace the part for nothing as long as I purchased it ....for $75.00 at AutoZone. Because I was cut for time and didn't want a confrontation, I obliged. However, when I spoke with my mechanic, he said that they should have covered the cost of the part and the install because if they had never gone into my glove box and lodged that pen in the motor, this never would have happened. In hindsight, I should have stood my ground and made them pay FOR THEIR MISTAKE. I ran into someone that knew Jordan and asked me to hold off on my review so that he would reach out to them. However, I never heard from him. Before this event, I had used Jiffy Lube quite often. I will never take my car to this, or any other, Jiffy Lube ever again. I called this establishment today. A tech named David answered. I asked what the wait time was like. He stated it was Saturday and they are usually busy, I asked how many folks were waiting. He hung up the phone... I called back to ask for a manager so I could describe that encounter with David... he asked why... And then hung up again. I have never had any issues asking wait times at ANY jiffy lube... This was the first time any of jiffy lubr tech was rude to me. This really harms the brand for me... I live here now... Not too pleased with this one. I went in there for an oil change one day, expecting to pay maybe at most 40 bucks? There were no prices listed anywhere, and I didn't think to ask (my stupid fault, I know). When the salesman rang up my sale, and said $69.95, I was floored. Just seems a bit pricey to me. Both of my headlights had gone out this week and they even replaced those for the same price I would have paid for the bulbs alone! I was in and out in about 12 minutes! Went in for the 23.99 oil change because my normal mechanic at L'Europa was too busy. ( He charges 24.99 and includes free tire rotation). Big mistake, first off they told me that my coolant reservoir was low ( it was) they then offered to fill it at some rediclous price. I declined so they then suggested I have them do a complete coolant exchange "since it is recommended" the reality is that coolant is good for at least 100,000 mi and my car has 30,000 mi on it. Then then told me that my oil was "black and sludgy" it's black cause it was dirty, Duh ! and sludy it was not. They tried to sell me a motor flush. By the way a motor flush is generally not recommended since it can cause problems in an engine. I again declined this service. When they were finished they charged me a higher price so I asked why and was informed that my vehicle holds 7 quarts of oil not 5 that comes with the oil change. I didn't realize that since my regular mechanis has never mentioned that nor charged me extra for additional oil. What upset me was that they should have informed me of this while they were taking the time to ask me what type of oil I wanted and trying to upsell me services I didn't need. Funny how they forgot that. Bottom line they are quick and corteous but I felt I was being conned the entire time I was there. If my wife had gone in alone she would have left with a pretty big bill for useless services. My advice, find a decent local mechanic and stay away from these corporate snake oil salesmen. It takes alot to run all the stores and overall I am ok with the compromise. I will try another jiffy lube with better ratings to give them one more shot in all fairness. Michael G. especially walked me through everything and had no problem talking on the phone with my normal mechanic on the phone because I was out of state. They caught something on my car that needed to be fixed and gave me a great price because I was not expecting that kind of maintenance on my car that day. These guys were great! Their customer service was excellent and there was no pressure to buy any of the "suggestions" (infamous jiffy lube trait!). I came by for a quick oil change today and was in and out in about 20 minutes. I had a coupon that I printed before I left the house and somehow lost it on my way there. The guy said no problem and put it one for me ( took off about 8$). They also suggested new wiper blades and said they had the good rain-x ones for 20$ each. I was aware I needed them and planned on getting them after at the local Benny's that had the same kind on sale for $8.98 each. I told the guy that and he offered me the same rain-x ones for a "buy one get one free" deal! Saved me an extra stop and the sure hassle of putting them on in the rain/snow! I just had a fantastic customer service experience at this Jiffy Lube. I was driving down 146, and the check engine light came on, and my car lost power steering. Luckily, I was HEADED to Jiffy Lube, and managed to get it into the parking lot. The guys there (on Sunday, 2/14) were nothing less than fabulous. They pushed my car into the bay, told me what the problem was (serpentine belt was shredded). They did not have the part in stock, but ordered it and had the car ready and waiting for me by 10am the following morning. While there on Sunday trying to figure out my ride home, they were courteous, very kind, and went above and beyond with their customer service. read more
