Came in for an alignment on my F-150, dropped it off and it was done promptly the next day, I picked up a few days later and the steering wheel wasn't straight. Took it right back to have them fix it, they did the alignment again. Still steering wheel wasn't straight and they were only adjusting one part of the suspension which is why it wasn't driving straight. I talked to them again and dropped it off, they tried a third time and lo and behold they didn't get the alignment right AGAIN! The report says there was damage to my vehicle preventing adjustment and other issues that are not apparent with my vehicle, I look under the truck where the adjustments are and there isn't even marks on the bolts where they would have even tried to loosen them. Overall I wouldn't come here to get free air in my tires..... I'm a technician and was here purely because my work doesn't have an alignment machine where I can do my truck. I dropped my car off for my appointment at 9:30 AM and was supposed to get it back at 11 AM. I understand sometimes things happen and they run behind an hour. But I didn't get a call that my car was done until nearly 3:30, which is ridiculous considering it had NOTHING to do with the safety of covid considering the employee helping me wasn't even wearing his mask. When my husband and I walked in there was no one at the front desk, so my inquisitive husband sullied forth and found some one. After we found someone (who was in the corner office) we sat down, enjoyed the coffee and news paper. They work fast pace, they had my SUV in and had an oil change within the hour, naturally had a few "heads up" including tires (that was to be expected bc it's been over 3 years since my last change) good price for all four. A week ago came and got my fuel filler neck fixed . Two days later lights are back on and here I am again seeing why. When getting fixed. Arrived 5 mins early. Was told my part wasn't here yet. Was not happy. Once it got in they took my car back. Took 1-1.5 hours. Not bad. Paid and wasn't told bout the 'supply fee'. Wasn't mentioned when agreed on total price with Justin before appointment. Also this store badly needs vacuumed and mopped. Looks like it's been months since cleaned. Mats and carpet gross and filthy . Floor is dirty needs swepped and mopped. Coffee area is disgusting. Windows are nasty and have spider webs and crud. read more

Made an appointment to have two things done on my car, swap out my winter tires and have my parking brake adjusted. I arrived at my appointed time and proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait. After a couple hours a person of authority came out and asked me if I ever used my parking brake. Slightly confused, I answered that yes indeed I did use my parking brake because my car is a stick shift and I don't want it wandering off. The person in authority told me that they had never had anyone in the shop who used their parking brake before, and that the mechanic had been pulling on my brake lever and had not had a problem. I explained to the authority figure that the problem was not getting the parking brake lever to move, but that it was moving to much, and the parking brake was not engaging as well as it had been. Another period of time passed, after which I was again greeted by the same individual and told that the mechanics had broken a wheel stud, and that one was coming from another shop. In addition they had given up attempting to adjust my parking brake because "it would take forever to google how to do the job", but that they believed it would involve removing the center console and adjusting cables. It was suggested that I instead take my car to the dealership for this service. I spent the first five minutes of the next hour googling "adjust parking brake", and having found the answer (which involved no console removal), I proceeded to take a nap. Four hours after I arrived, I happily departed the shop with my summer tires installed, a new stud, a still to be adjusted parking brake, and a desire to never set foot in a Firestone again. Two stars, because although I had to put air in my tires the next day because my TPM light had gone off, the wheels have, as of yet, not fallen off the car. read more

On the road, traveling for work- 350 miles from home: I broke two lugs on one wheel of my F150- big pot hole-- and Store Manager Rich P fit me into a very busy day and got me back on the road. Very friendly, understanding and professional team. I know about car maintenance and they are honest - which to me is the most important thing. Came here to years ago for 2 new rear tires, got em and they worked fine. Came back today for two new front wheels. When I got home I noticed they were the wrong size. I brought the truck back and found out that the tires put on two years ago were the wrong size. Without hesitation the manager and employees swaped them out with the correct size at no cost to me due to it being their mistake. 320 bucks they ate in the name of good customer service and honesty. I had good service two years ago and even better today. I'm sure this is not a common mistake so don't run to your car and look at ur wheels; but to make it right after so long says alot. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. read more

I would give this place six stars if I could! While passing through on the toll road, one of the tires on our car started to smoke. Firestone was the only tire place open as this was a Sunday and they were so helpful! At one point, we could not find the tire keys and the manager offered to drive us to the nearest hotel to wait until morning until he could call a dealership (poor Audi design!) for one. Luckily the tire keys were found and the tire was speedily fixed and we were on our way. Their kindness and speed in what can be a stressful situation was amazing! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO FIRESTONE, Midway Mall, Elyria, Ohio, they LIE, OVERCHARGE and find every little thing wrong with your vehicle JUST TO RUN THE BILL UP (ie: rear wiper blade and small bulb on license plate charge over $30.00)! They don't wear name tags so you don't even know who you're talking to or if they are a manager or just someone off the street (someone off the street would probably care more than they do). The brake line on our vehicle broke and we called around to find someone who could get it fixed that day or the next day as we had plans to go out of town. When we called Firestone they said if anyone in town could fix it in that time frame they could. So knowing we would probably end up paying more TIME WAS OF THE ESSENCE so we had it towed to the Firestone at the Elyria Midway Mall (Firestone referred us to Sugar Ridge Towing to tow it there and the tow ended up costing $90.74 to tow it about a mile down the road). Firestone was supposed to call us with a COST TO FIX THE BRAKE LINE as soon as possible. Well just before closing time we hadn't heard from them and we called them (we towed the car to Firestone between 10am and 11am on Friday). When we called them they gave us a quote of $2,508.88!!! FOR A BRAKE LINE???? Well it turns out they spent the whole day finding every single little thing wrong with the vehicle when we told them we just needed the brake line fixed right now. So they said it would be $660.99 PLUS LABOR, we knew it was going to be over priced there but we needed it done so we asked if it would be done the next day and of course NOW they said they couldn't get to it till MONDAY!! It was closing time and we live over 15 miles away (half an hour drive time) so we couldn't even get back up there to get the keys. Well they probably figured because we had to have the car towed there we were stuck with them fixing it - WRONG. We called a friend who said he could fix it Saturday after work, so we had the vehicle towed to a friend's house and he fixed it the next day for under $150.00 including labor (Firestone was charging $660.99 JUST FOR PARTS). We had the vehicle towed this time by ELYRIA TOWING SERVICES from Firestone at Midway Mall to Cook Road in North Ridgeville OVER 10 MILES for $90.74 same price Sugar Ridge charged to take it about a mile. NOW I REMEMBER WHY WE QUIT TAKING OUR CAR TO FIRESTONE 20 YEARS AGO! They haven't changed they are still the same rip off they were then. read more

Brought my car in on friday to have the power steering fixed bc of a leak and hard steering and also an oil change left it over night no problem just needed it fixed. Saturday rolled around no call so finally I called around 4:45 to ask about my car and the guy put me on hold to check came back and said yeah the oil change it'll be done in 30mins I was like thats fine but what about the power steering? He said the mechanic didnt say anything about it but it would be done in 30mins I was like ok so I head up there and to my surprise the guy told me they couldnt fix it because they didnt know where the leak was but i could bring it back another day and they can put an additive in my fluid to light it up and check. Imo they could've called me and suggested that and i would've went for it but no. And they charged me $30 to tell me I had a power steering leak which i already knew thats why i took it in! At check out they had a few suggestions for things i could have repaired but why would I have it done here they couldn't even help me with my original problem? read more

Came here a few weeks ago for some emergency repairs. My brother and I were attending a family reunion in Ohio and on my way driving there from my home in Maryland, we heard a pop. Turns out one of my Rear Wheel Cylinders had failed. Mind you, I had just had both my Rear Wheel Cylinders replaced the previous month at my local mechanic (that's another story). Anyway, I lost braking pressure on the Ohio Turnpike and had to make my way precariously to my cousin's place. We were able to arrive to my destination in one piece and diagnosed that I had a serious brake fluid leak. The next morning, I drove my car very carefully( and slowly) over to the nearest Auto Repair Shop which happened to be the Midway Mall Firestone. The crew there was able to figure out the problem and fix it by the end of business the next day, which, happened to be on a Sunday. Then even were able to give me the part so I take it back to my local mechanic for a refund. I was able to leave on Sunday afternoon as planned and neither my brother or I had to miss a day of work the following Monday. After my first experience with my tires they really gained percs with me but this time I had my breaks looked at and I was told the front breaks and callipers need changed which callipers rarely ever need changed charging me around 700$. fast forward..altogether nothing needed changed and everything just needed lube up. I have been here twice now and the people at this Firestone are amazing!!! The first time I got two new tires put on my car (they let me know I needed 2 and not all 4) and they checked over my car to make sure everything was working as it should. I went in again today because I hit a very deep pot hole and my new tire went flat. They showed me where the steal rim was bent in 2 places. The tire was fine but due to the rim being bent so bad the tire would not hold pressure to it. They were able to save the rim by bending it back. They could have had me buy a whole new rim and tire but they went the extra mile to save me money. I cannot express enough how amazing it is to find a shop that helps the customer and doesn't try to screw you over! That is exactly why Wyley and the techs at Firestone will have me as a returning customer! I'm telling everyone to go see them with any car issues! read more

These guys took amazing care of me and my car when I broke down on a road trip back home. Not only did they make sure my car was safe, they made sure I only paid for exactly what I had done, no extra money. Aside from my car working perfectly after they fixed it they took my care and safety into consideration. They were kind enough to drive me to and from my hotel, point me in the direction of food or anything I needed, and truly treated me as if I was their kid who had broken down in an unfamiliar state. I stopped in unexpected a week later because me car was in desperate need of the work we talked about, the store was swamped but he still got my car worked on that day.
