Visited Firestone after my brother's brand new tire developed a metal chip. Over the phone, staff started the hole was too large to repair and a new tire was required. We agreed to proceed based on that assessment. A pickup the vehicle already had a new tire installed, but the original tire was not initially available for inspection. Upon requests, staff brought out our old tire. However, the metal chip had not been removed and raising concern about how the determination of an unrepairable hole was made. Staff then removed the chip in front of us, after new tire had already been installed. The next day, we visited Les Schwab, where technician confirmed the original tire was repaired with a patch and removed a new tire installed by a Firestone. Contact firestone manager to request and a refund of over $300 and return of the tire. Manager agreed. Upon returning to Firestone, manager started he believed the tire from Les Schwab was new, not repaired and reported he could not locate the patched area, implying our account was inaccurate Returned to Les Schwab for documentation confirming the tire was patched, not replaced. Returned again to firestone with the documentation, however, another staff member located the patched repair site, and the refund was issued. While appreciative of receiving the refund and returning the tire, the overall experience was frustrating, marked by a lack of trust poor communication, and repeated statements from the manager suggesting disbelief of our account. Final resolution was satisfactory, but the process significantly impacted the confidence in service and customer care! read more

I had an oil change appointment today 07/30/2026 at 1 pm. I was told the day earlier by the lady in the front if I take an appointment around 1 pm i can drop off my car and pick up the same day. I did just like that. Took time off from work dropped of my car and the lady said i can pick up later. I went back to work and i get a call around 4 :30 pm they cant change the oil and i need to leave my car overnight. It is frustrating dont promise if you cant keept it. I took my car into this location June 24th for an oil leak, they "fixed" the oil leak and spark plugs. That was $770ish okay fine no problem then, 3-4 days later my Engine light comes on... I call into the place to ask why it could be on I had to take it back in again spent another $800. Yesterday July 21st not even a full month of services done my car starts messing up again but this time it's doing the exact same thing I supposedly thought I had got "fixed" the first time when I took in for the oil leak fix. I'm driving all the way from north gate with my mother that just been released from surgery and my baby girl so we can imagine how scary that is on the highways, plus this summer heat. I call the store I speak to the store manager which is Jeremiah and my emotions were high but he did not make it any better at all . After I explain the situation he's going to tell me that there could be another oil leak.... And his attitude was shit customer service skills are shit because regardless of a customer being upset, you're supposed to express customer care and understanding then go straight to the point of what you'll do to help fix your mistakes or lack of making sure your customers understand that other things may occur. He just wanted to match my energy of course instead of taking accountability. My thing is why wouldn't you guys check for another oil leak if that was my main concern in the first place ? Why wouldn't you tell someone that sometimes if one issue gets fixed it can cause a mishap elsewhere? That's like giving a prescription to a patient and not telling them the side effects that may occur. I took my car in on 2 separate occasions and left it with you guys for hours!! But you guys constantly want to give recommendations on other maintenance repairs to make money but didn't even fix the main problem! I highly recommend crossing your Ts and dotting your I's with this place. $1000 in 3 weeks not even a full month horrible. read more

Went there about a year ago, had them change a few belts. When I first got there to pick the car up, the car did not want to start. I think the mechanic was out there waiting for it to happen. They gave me a jumpstart. I left the next day. My car wouldn't turn on. I ended up getting a jump got near Paisley Canyon pulled over turn the car back on and a disc and a few other parts just came flying from the bottom of my car. Called a few days later and they said that they could not help me that it was 100% my problem. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. I scheduled an appointment last week to get my brake pads changed. I didn't request any additional services, and wasn't told that I had to purchase anything else. The appointment was confirmed, and I was supposed to go and get that done this afternoon. I called to confirm my appointment an hour ago, when I was told that Firestone doesn't do just brake pads, but I had to buy rotors too. I've never heard of this, as I've gotten my brake pads, changed at Firestone over the past several years. I was told that if I got my brake pads done without getting rotors done, that they wouldn't assure my work and wouldn't give me a warranty. I was then told that my 12 o'clock appointment wouldn't be finished until 6 PM. Again, I made this appointment a week out. With winter weather being what it is, I was very disappointed to see that the appointment wasn't even filed correctly. They had me under a different first name, and the gentleman I spoke to wasn't very understanding, and acted like it was a big problem for me to be in and out of there in 3 1/2 hours for a brake pad change. Needless to say, Firestone has lost my business. It's unfortunate because my family has gone through Firestone for the past 27 years with all of our vehicles growing up. This auto care facility is not what it used to be. This is unfortunate. I have a lot to say about this place. Pam gets you in with a great quote on work needed.. Then the managers take over telling you that you need other things.. very confusing invoices. They like us in a state of confusion that's what the world is doing. Money money push those sales. I came in concerned about a burning smell in my truck. They didn't find it or fix it but I got a huge bill/ work I don't think I really needed. I'm a woman and I know they take advantage hindsight being 20/20!! How do you know they did any work? and still a burning smell, that's on Firestone. Very very long story short I went in to jiffy lube today asking them their opinion of this burning smell ( still after 3600.00 spent at Firestone) Within 10 minutes they told me I had a leak in my radiator! I was livid. Firestone had started me out with a quote of 1400.00 I didn't get it in right away but then when I finally did, this happens and 3600.00 later, still with a burning smell from my truck. They told me to get out steam cleaned. BS!! I was taken for a ride. They even tried to sell me wiper blades! Jeremiah said I needed a power steering pump, then I needed rack and pinion 1100.00 . He had no concern on burning smell. My invoice says burning smell courtesy check. I assume it was fixed. It was not. I feel really mad. They had it over night even at the Auburn location. I didn't want to do that but they had it all ripped apart said have to come get it the next day. They didn't notice I had a radiator leak when I stressed to them over and over what is the burning smell. They didn't see my antifreeze was gone but I kept filling it asking them why? Why did this happen to me? I've had hardship after hardship and these people making this money screwing people over. No accountability. Jeremiah put a faulty part in my vehicle. Told me they test drove it twice!! When I drove it home it died at the light, then check engine light came on! Lies! If he test drove it they would have fixed it before letting me drive it home! He tried blaming it on me not getting the work done that was needed. I finally brought it in because I was concerned with the burning smell that I assumed they fixed after 3600.00.. The Firestone in Auburn when they had it over night .. I later went to use my car phone charger it was gone! Alix replaced it Im grateful but the character of these people are not right. I saw their other reviews. They now want to do a claim on this matter with their claims people. I don't trust them anymore after everything. Does this make sense to anyone? Where do I go with this? I'm sure Jeremiah doesn't care about this review. He remembers me because we had it out about this bs. Telling me I'm harassing them by then. NO ACCOUNTABILITY! these days they're aren't any. I was out of town and my wife had to two flat tires on her new 2024 Subaru that had 800 miles on it. She went to this Firestone and ended up replacing all 4 tires because they said they couldn't fix the two tires and had to buy four because she had all wheel drive. Women beware, this store will take advantage of you if you don't question their judgement. All tires just 800 miles, she wasn't shown the tires that could not be fixed and was not given the choice of taking the two good tires back with her. I can totally understand the poor ratings they get, which seems to be a good percentage. Just totally out to make their bottom line and not be helpful to the consumer. Called on 7/31/25 about wheel hub replacement and scheduled appointment for 8/1/25 at 8:00am. After rearranging my schedule for the day I show up only to be told that they don't even work on foreign cars other than tires. Wow. I took my vehicle in for an alignment today. The technician walked away for several minutes before getting started with trying to loosen the nuts on the tie rods, and after just a couple minutes he called me under my car to look at a problem he was dealing with. He said he couldn't get the nuts to break free and was trying to use heat to break them loose, and he didn't want to damage anything trying further. He said he could cut the tie rods off and replace them and do an alignment, and I thought that was ridiculous. So I left with a copy of the alignment printout from his attempt today, and went to a dealership and told them what happened and what the proposed solution was. The Assistant Service Manager told me that he'd never heard of that, and that there are plenty of better ways to break those nuts free. He also saw the alignment sheet and said it was pretty bad. I looked at it when I got home and I noticed that the measurements taken when he first got everything setup were not bad. The toe on the left front was only slightly out of spec, but the steer ahead was 3 degrees out of spec, which exactly what it felt like to me. The reading after, however, put the toe on both front wheels 11 and 12 degrees out of spec and the steer ahead at a whopping 23 degrees out of spec. So my front alignment is actually significantly worse than before the Firestone technician touched it. The fact that he had heat on those nuts and tie rods and how far out of alignment he made those front wheels has me suspecting that he may have bent my tie rods, which had absolutely nothing wrong with them until he touched them. The dealership will now be doing the alignment, and if they tell me that the tie rods are bent and need replacing, I'll not only be angry at this Firestone location, but I'll also be working toward involving the judicial system against them. You don't pull a scam like that on me and get away with it. read more

I originally set up an appoint online and was then called telling me my appointment would be cancelled due to "Us closing" and that the break tech got off at 3 PM. Decided to set up another appointment at 2 PM and arrived for them to tell me 4 other cars were ahead of me and "It would be a while" to be seen. When I enquired how long, a customer was also in the store said "I used to work for Firestone, and it'll be a while" while smirking and laughing. My appointment came and went and I received a call at 4 PM stating that my break change was going to change from $350 to almost $900 dollars. I explained I wasn't interested in that cost and returned to get my car. The lady upfront who's name I forget honestly needed way better customer service. She kept calling me "Mr. Paul" (first of all, I'm Paul or Mr. Last Name here.... not Mr. Paul) I returned to get my keys and she didn't say a word to me when I returned, handed me the keys and just had this look of disinterest. What a complete waste of my time. I hear about auto body shops all the time trying to scam people and have a terrible reputation. I just wont go back to this place ever! We booked an appointment online about 1 and a half weeks out for a flat repair. [After seeing several reviews regarding appointment issues, it seems like this company ALWAYS seems to have problems keeping and honoring appointments.] After checking in this morning w/Lincoln, I was quickly informed that my appt wasn't showing, and that I should check my spam mail to see the cancellation. No cancellation was sent, just a confirmation of my 9am appt. 2nd after "quickly" inspecting tires, without even moving my car, we were told they couldn't perform the flat repair on 1 tire, it was too large to repair. We were told we needed to change all 4 tires and they couldn't do the repair, without changing all 4. After telling him these were new tires about a year old, he asked if they were purchased used. He then went into the credit card pitch, so we could fund the tires we didn't need, as if it's easy to just get approved for a new credit card. Since we didn't agree with what he was telling us, we will gladly go elsewhere and get a 2nd opinion, and not drain all our money at this unprofessional place. The store manager banned me from coming back to the shop at this location because I was wearing gloves and helping the technician to find what the problem was on my vehicle. The technician was nice and I was just showing him where the noise is coming from and what does it sound like. I did not physically work on the car. I felt extremely disrespected. The store manager was very rude and was being a jerk to not only me but to his other employees as well. I have been in there before with other managers and I never had a problem. I'm not unreasonable and I was just expecting some simple respectful manner. He confronting me impertinently and the experience I had was not acceptable as a customer. I had a flat tire. I came here to get my tire changed. My boyfriend had already pre-schedule for me to get my tire replaced. When it was time for my tire to get replaced they called me multiple times to tell me what's wrong with my car ( I had already had a scheduled oil change later that week) but when it came ti my actual tire I never got a call about them not having my tire in stock. Instead they called me and told me it was ready and I asked to double check the price he said it 900 ( but my order said it was suppose to be like 300-400) so I asked why it was that much he then told me that he did what was on the order and started arguing with me and talking over me when I was trying to talk. But that all good because I figured out he lied because when I added my boyfriend on 3 way to the call he then said he didn't have my tire in stock and that he just assumed I would like a better grip tire because of the weather change ( he said this after hearing my boyfriend on the phone, my boyfriend pretty much heard the whole thing prior to him saying that). He just assumed without even calling me and asking me or notifying me, but was able to call me about everything else that was unrelated to my tires. Interesting. The fact that Lincoln was a manager there and had AWFUL. Customer service. I will never come back. But wait there's more. When I got my oil changed at another place they notified me that my tire sensor was either not restarted or that Firestone did not put it back in the tires that was replaced. So I had to call and tell them that they either did reprogram my sensor or put it back in. Schedule an appointment for the coming weekend. I made it clear that I was not paying for their mistake. When I came in Lincoln was rude, and dismissive, I came in to check in. I gave him my keys and he didn't say a WORD, he just was typing on the computer. My boyfriend and I was like "umm is there anything we need to do," he then said "no". My thing is WHY could he not say "ok that's it, we'll give you a call when it's ready" but instead he said NOTHING. My boyfriend was pissed and so was I. When I got the call my car was ready he still didn't say anything. I asked what happened to the sensor he said it was broken. But my question is HOW is he a manager. To me they'll just put anyone in management position. Don't come here. If you do make sure they treat you with respect because after all you are a paying customer. WORST PLACE EVER!! DO NOT GO HERE!! You have been warned!!! I made an appointment online for an oil change in the morning for 6:30 pm. Called and got booked for an earlier appointment at 6:pm from a female at the location. Got email confirmation from Firestone. Left work early because I was coming from bremerton shipyard driving to federal way to make my appointment. Got there at 5:45 and the guy at the front desk was vacuuming the area and didn't see me for a bit. He was shocked when he saw me. Told him I'm here for an oil change, he said " ok, when can we schedule you in" I said I had an appointment for 6pm and he said no, I don't see that. All the technicians left and they usually book the last appointment at 4pm. I showed him my email that stats the confirmation and he said "weird, sorry how about tomorrow at 4pm?" I don't understand how I can make an appointment with a company but the workers don't honor the appointment! Horrible customer service or lack off, unprofessional and just rude. Company close at 7pm allow me to make an appointment with email confirmation and don't honor it. Technicians leave at 5pm and the front desk guy left when I left at 6pm. WORST PLACE EVER!! Really disappointed about their "reservation " system. I made an appointment through their web service for an oil change which was confirmed the following day by Firestone, and noted that I would have to wait for the work to be done. As i did not have a ride. I arrived on time and was told it would be a minum of a 2 hour wait, or possibly longer. I ask what the purpose of making an appointment was for, and, if they had absolutely no intention of honoring it, why make one at all? I was told me that all an appointment does is to guarantee the work will be done sometime during that day. Unbelievable!! I will not be going back for oil change services anytime in the future. I needed two jobs completed, Catalytic converters and spark plugs. Called Tuesday for a Friday appointment. Dropped off at 7:15 am. Firestone didn't have the part and didn't explicitly tell me that until I was leaving the car and out the door. Technician wouldn't start either job without all pieces, which is understandable. Did not call Friday, Saturday, or Sunday about progress. I called Saturday and Sunday several times. Takes to two different people, one had no idea the jobs going on. Missing part still because of the dealers error. No phone call on Monday, had to call myself and still waiting on part. Technician had not started it. Promised it would be done Tuesday by 4:00 pm. Call at 5:30 pm that it was finished. With kids to put to bed we opted to pick up Wednesday morning. As I leave they remind me that the muffler cannot be done there. Could have told me earlier and I would have gone elsewhere to get it done faster. Human errors yes, forgivable in ways of course. Not being called by the business doing professional work is frustrating. Kept me guessing for 5 days while having my car the whole time. Promised to check my fluids and set my car. Didn't fulfill that either, fluids not topped off and wiper fluid hose was not reconnected like I asked them to. I explicitly asked them to look into the hose disconnection as well. They performed the last oil change and typically that's when it gets disconnected for no reason other than carelessness. I give them credit for accommodating me on the bill for work done. Manager still said, " I can't do much else for you on the bill." I'll reconsider before I go back. read more

To start this off, I do nearly all car maintenance on my own or with a friend to save money. I am a huge skeptic of many car care places, and have tested a few here in Federal Way on their honesty and integrity. Firestone here in Federal Way is a good shop. Ibrahim is solid with his customer service. I came here for a full top to bottom inspection, I recently did a good deal of work on the car and did my own 90k mile service, but it is always good to get it checked top to bottom by a professional. he pointed out the car was in perfect shape and gave me the full rundown of statistics, and suggested a possible full tire alignment for the future, but nothing needed or showing wear and tear. My best advice to anyone getting any car work done is to always allocate more time than anticipated, so often (as seen in one review here) people get anxious and put off by the time taken to do the work. Going anywhere to do car work is best when you have the day off and not a tight schedule. To the reviewer below: control arms parts alone can easily cost 300-500 dollars, add that to tires, balancing, and labor, and 700 should not be surprising. The store closes at 6pm which is when my car was put on the lift for the alignment. So I know there wasn't a road test after because he would have noticed my steering wheel wasn't straight. I would not recommend this auto shop based on our experience with a 1999 Dodge Ram van. However, I do think these guys aren't intentionally swindling people- they just weren't able to diagnose the problem until fixing a lot of other things as well. With newer vehicles, they're probably much better at diagnosing issues but we probably wouldn't return with any older vehicles. read more

I was never sent a notice that there was any appointment issues, so on Sunday morning I rolled into an empty parking lot, business was closed and there was a poorly written note on the door stating that "closed Sundays until further notice". Being a woman who doesn't know much about cars, they have always been so honest and fair with me. They never try to get me to do anything I don't need or try to up sell me on stuff bc I don't know any better. I've specifically gone there twice with some issues and they said they could be an inspection and find out the problem, but they were pretty sure the problem wasn't something they were able to fix. So they recommended I go to a different shop/dealer. I just wish that Firestone was able to do everything and anything under the sun for vehicles. Integrity. It's just that simple. Their tech made an error while draining fluids. He could've just left it alone and nobody would've known until my vehicle broke down. This was a dealer fluid replacement only. But he did the right thing, he notified his manager, and his manager notified me. They put me in a rental car and resolve the issue. Firestone should be very proud of both men. I've worked with in the automotive industry for 50 years. And I've seen the decline of quality work and honesty. 5 minutes before closing, I called them to ask if they can patch a tire from a flat. They said they would and I took it to them. WIthin 15 minutes they had my tire patched. Super fast service, and willing to stay open even though they were closing soon. The only thing that bothered me was they seemed very unfriendly.
