Unfortunately, had to change my review for this location. My wife's tire (purchased at Discount) got a screw in it and went flat. I put in a temp plug and sent her down to get it patched. The young man at the counter told her they couldn't/wouldn't repair it since "these plugs chemically destroy the rubber". I had never heard of such a thing and have followed this same procedure at least 3 times over the years for different tires at Discount without issue. I checked with both the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) and found this to be a totally bogus and naïve claim. (Can't believe everything you see on TikTok young man). Fortunately, there was a Les Schwab a block away who gladly patched the tire for her. They told her that modern rubber was extremely resilient and the temp plug would have no effect whatsoever. Scheduled an appt here bc I had a nail in my tire for 10:15AM next day. I got there 10mins before my appt, but they didn't work on my car until 10:45AM. Everyone there was busting their butt working hard so I wasn't that upset but still, little upset I waited so long since I had an appt. They did say it was going to take 1hr-1:15mins so I guess they included the wait time. They finished at 11:15AM and also checked & added air in all my tires, which I didn't expect. Best of all, they didn't charge me anything! I was so shocked!!! I was expecting them to tell me I needed a new tire or trying to sell me new tires, although my car was only 4mos old. But I experienced steering wheel was tilted to the left during stopping that I never experienced before and vibration during highway driving. I visited that shop and asked to do the wheel balance again. After that the first problem gone but the vibration was still there. And so, I visited Discount Tire without any appointment and asked to fix the problem. In thirty minutes, he called me my car is ready. He said they did the wheel balancing but didn't charge me anything! After then I am enjoying the drive my car like a bland new feeling!! I replaced all the tires on my truck recently and was happy about the service. Later I went on a short road trip and found the brakes unresponsive and pulling to the drivers side. After we got home, I went to the Federal way store where I had the work done and they denied any responsibility and suggested the problem was preexisting. I asked them if they would at least examine the brakes for safety sake and they said that their personnel were not trained on anything mechanical. He suggested that I take it to a brake shop and that their warrantee was not valid for brakes. Not the response that I expected from a reputable company. read more

I had set up an online account with this company. Kept my appointment on August 8th, 2025. I had scheduled remounting my tires - rotation, balancing, air stems. When I got there, I was then told they could not do the services due to the "state law" of Washington that tires over 10 years old aren't safe enough! My Michelin premium tires had been on my 1996 Honda Civic for 16 years. They had a sign in their waiting room explaining why they "might" not be able to service tires over 10 years old, as I recall. It was a rather elaborate sign, very colorful and sitting in the middle of the waiting room. I got this feeling they were much more interested in selling new tires than doing service for older tires. I then left quite upset and frustrated and went to Les Scwab tires just across the street. A manager looked at my tires and said they were in good enough shape to service! I had one flat tire and was running on the "doughnut" spare. He decided to only fix the flat, but he charged me NOTHING! I had no appointment, of course, and was just pleased he wanted to fix the flat. I profusely thanked him for his kindness and thoughtfulness. He replaced the defective valve stem. Although the other tires were not serviced, I at least was up and running with my normal Michelin tire. Discount Tire refused to even fix the flat tire! I won't be doing any business with them again. I should add the Michelin tires had less than 5000 miles (70K mileage rating). No cracks at all, plenty of tread left. I am 74 years old and disabled, using a walker, and once again in my long life, I had an uncaring business shove it up my yazoo! No consideration at all for my situation. read more

They have been super nice and responsive to all my questions and tried to match me with the best possible solution to my problem. Was too pricey even though their pricing was competitive. Had such a great experience working with Discount tire. Got tires 4 tires for a great price! When I left the shop my car started to make a loud grinding noise when I left. I turned around and they pulled my car in right away. They didn't see any issues and offered to tow my car to the shop Spark that they work with just in case it was something on their end that they couldn't see. Over the last 8 years, I have bought 2 sets of tires for cars that I have since sold. My 2020 Subaru Outback has only 11,500 miles on it but still needs a tire rotation about every 6000 miles. They still rotate, balance and check the pressure at no charge, a service that the dealer charges $40 to perform. I made a 1:15PM appointment online and showed up on time. The work was done in 15 minutes. The people are friendly and seem to treat everyone well, even when the news is bad. A few years ago, when I bought my last set of tires for a Toyota Highlander the price they quoted me was the same as the big discount warehouse store 1/2 mile down the street. I placed the order online and scheduled the appointment for the upcoming weekend. The following morning I received a call from Brad to inform me the tire I selected was unfortunately on constraint (very normal with our current supply chain challenges).
