My Son ran over a large plastic bag on 30W, and it got all tangled up in his undercarriage. We took the car over to Firestone and we dropped it off. They were super busy, so we weren't sure if the car would even get seen today. I was pleasantly surprised when they had the car fixed and back to us with in a couple hours! The staff was very very friendly and the best part, they didn't even charge us!! I still cannot believe that there was no charge because they had to do a lot to get the plastic out from under the car. I'm very satisfied. read more

After bringing my car in for repairs, they installed a faulty part that caused me to have to wait over a week to finally get my car fixed correctly. It was incredibly inconvenient. Additionally, they will try to sell you extra maintenance unrelated to what you took your vehicle in for, after charging you for a safety inspection that you did NOT request. I scheduled an appointment and arrived 30 minutes early for it. 4 hours later they told me my car would be ready in 1.5 hours. I said did making an appointment not do any good for me? I came today, without an appointment, to have a tire leak checked and everyone was so friendly and lighthearted. One of the guys was cutting up w another customers baby, it was so cute. They got me fixed up quickly and when I went to pay for it, they told me "free of charge". I was surprised since I didn't buy my tires there Bc my vehicle was purchased new. Called to see if I could get my brakes fixed. They said it would be no problem. I drove an hour from Granbury and they told me after 45 minutes that it would take me hours. 5 hours later, they pulled my car around and when they were checking me out they said: " We weren't able to fix your brakes today. That will be $9.99 for the courtesy check." I was waiting there the entire time and they never said anything- then they have the nerve to charge me for the "courtesy check!" First and last time at this location. Had an appointment at 4:30pm for a simple oil change. At 6pm the vehicle still not in, so when I asked for the status, the employee "Liz" without a name tag responded very rude and annoyed and told me that have to wait for next available tech even if I have an appointment... I didn't get out until 7pm!!!! And the "complimentary" vehicle inspection was not even done! The location is very dirty and in a very bad area! Even the outside of the building looks sketchy. Both trips to this store have resulted in me needing to take my car to a different mechanic. In 2019 my gear shift cable disconnected and, because I had had positive experiences with the Firestone by my house, I decided to tow my car to this Firestone since it was closest. They just attempted to reattach the cable and when I finally decided that shifting involved too much effort, I took it in to the Firestone closest to my house and they told me that the cable actually needed to be replaced and that the work done the first time was insufficient. Now, in 2021, the cable detached again and I brought it in to this Firestone since I was again closest to it (I was also erroneously told by V at the front desk that the part I had had replaced was under warranty which later turned out to be incorrect). This time, Alex insisted that both the gear shift cable and the interlock cable (which I had not been having any issues with before bringing the car in) needed to be replaced. I only authorized the gear shift cable being replaced. When it was time to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that, since I hadn't replaced the interlock with them at the time, they had to leave the entire console off so that I could manually shift the car out of gear. They claimed that this was because the old interlock couldn't be connected once the new gear shift cable was connected (and were unable to explain how these parts fit together before they began work on the car but now could not). Despite the fact that they had not completed the repair (there is still a hole in my console that I have to reach through to manually shift my car out of park), I was still charged the full labor cost as if I was returned a car that was as functional as when I brought it in. Between multiple repairs being insufficient and work being only half-completed, I would recommend avoiding this shop at all costs. read more

Asked them if they could help me, they said they were not selling lug nuts. I asked them if they could see if they didn't have one in the shop, the employee told me yes, probably, but they would have to make me enter the shop and charge me for that. For one lug nut??? I highly discourage using firestone for your tire needs. I had a tire that was under their warrant it had 8/32nds of wear which meant only 3/32nds was used and 6/32nds of remaining tire life. If your good at math you know that is 2/3rds of remaining use on the tire. I had a flat due to a nail in the center of the tread, a repair that was covered and only required a plug or patch. Instead of repairing the tire, they claimed that they could not repair it and keep the warranty on the tire due to the wear on the side walls. To be honest, I did drive the car with a flat tire about a block before I noticed it and put the donut on, but the wear on the side wall had not even scraped their firestone name off of the tire. It was pretty clear that they were looking for any reason not to honor the warranty. Next they told me the replacement cost on the tire would be $45. This tire costs $66 dollars brand new. When I inquired about the tire tread wear and discovered the price discrepancy, I asked them why I was being charged for 2/3 tread wear when the tire only had one third used. Turns out they were giving me only 39% of remaining tire use for the tire under "warranty" and charging me for a new warranty for the new tire that was replacing the "old" tire that was "supposedly under warranty." In almost every other business I can think of a warranty replaces the old product with maybe a charge for wear or service technician and honors the original warranty on the service and new product part(s) without requiring the customer to purchase a new warranty. So all in all I paid $28 dollars for my two warranties(15.50+12.50) and $26 for a new tire. That means my original $15 warranty saved me $25. $66(for a new tire)-$41 warranty tire replacement and original warrant cost)=$25 saved. Then to continue to get coverage on a tire that had an estimated 50,000 miles of use, I had to repurchase the warranty on the replacement tire ($25-$13=$12 of savings) Firestone does not care about offering good service. They care about covering their liability risk (aka asses) and scamming money out of people unnecessarily. Assuming these tires actually last past half life, I will not be going back with Firestone. I wrote a note to myself on the warranty to guaranty it. P.s. After emails from corporate due to this post, I realized that the shop didn't even replace my tire with one of equal rating. My original tire was a 70,000 mile tire. They put on one with a 50,000 mile rating, and charged me as if I was getting additional miles by purchasing a newer tire when actually, by the mileage on both invoices, I was losing roughly 2,000 miles since I had only 18,000 miles on the tire that "could not safely be repaired." Corporate was unable to find my invoice number when I gave it to them. I sent two additional emails to corporate with photos of the invoice and pictures of the tire's wear. P.S.S. The employee from corporate was very helpful and diligent in reviewing the issues I had with the service. Although there seemed to be a hiccup in finding the invoice by its number, upon review, I was reimbursed and got the proper tire put on free of charge at a different location. I upgraded my rating to two because of how corporate responded in the midst of my poor experience. read more

I went in for a tire alignment and to get my tires properly inflated. When I picked up my car my tire monitored system was still telling me that my tires were not properly inflated. I brought this to the attention of the service manager and was told that the tires were inflated and to reset the TPMS I would be charged extra. When I got to my destination I checked my tires and found them to be under inflated. Once I inflated them to the proper PSI, the TPMS reset itself. I called Thursday 11/20/19 and spoke to Elizabeth about a tire that I had a bolt in. I called to see if I had road hazard which I did. She put in an order for a tire and said she would call when it came in. I called Friday at noon and the tire wasn't in. Elizabeth stayed that she placed the order in pass the cut off time. I was okay with that. Things like that happen. She then said it would be in at 3 and would call. I never got a call. I called Saturday to see if it was in. And it was. I have things to do and I need my car. I've worked in customer service business. When I told a customer I was was going to call back I did. Regardless of the situation. If this were a life or death situation who ever waits on a phone call back would be dead. I will be taking my business elsewhere from this point on. read more

So, in keeping with my series of rational decisions that end up being adventures, someone tried to steal the hubcap off a 2015 Hyundai Accent I rented for a weekend. I reported it to the rental place and because I am often more thrifty than wise, I told them I had declined the full coverage and that my insurance only covered collision damage. They ok'd me repairing it myself so I called what felt like every dealership in the metroplex and when I finally found the correct one, I called back to the rental place to make sure it was all ok, they let me know that LOLWHOOPS, I could ONLY purchase the hubcap and services through Firestone. Well, long story short, this was the only Firestone I called that not only dealt with my frantic calls for an estimate with professionalism and kindness, but they got the part, kept me updated on its arrival, and got me in and out smoothly. Cecilia and this crew have received some sort of knighthood in my mind. So so pleased. Would recommend. read more

I don't usually review these big-chain stores for most of them are the same 2-3 star fronts with minimum amount of care for you and maximum potential for crappy work. However, I was surprised by the exuberance and exceptional customer service provided by these guys. I usually work on the cars my self and when I needed brakes changed on my 2014 Audi A4, I called 8-10 different stored and this one stood out in terms of pricing. Although they had me wait for 2 hrs just to get the car initially inspected, i can take some of the blame as I showed up on a busy Saturday without an appointment. Once the problem was diagnosed and price was agreed upon, they gave me a ride home and 6hrs later I went in to pick up the car. Long story short, we had an argument over what price/discount coupon was agreed upon. After an exchange of few words, Victor - the manager, agreed to side with me. And that is what won my heart. Obviously I think I was right. But so did victor. And when you have a situation where both parties think they are right, it is hard for both parties to side with the other party. But victor did - because at the end he decided to side with the customer - and that in it self is a great yet hard to come by quality, especially with these big chain store fronts. I hope Victor and the entire squad carries this positive anomaly forward. read more
