I called and made an appointment to bring my car in and told them specifically what I was told at the dealership. In no time, they had it up on the lift and even brought me out to the bay to show me the issues the dealership had mentioned as well as another pretty drastic one that they hadn't caught there. The main difference for me was they showed me and explained what was going on with each part. I also was able to get the work done for those same two items for $1100 vs the $2000 the dealership had quoted and Brakes Plus got the parts and fixed it same day. CAUTION NOT REPUTABLE Andre seemed to be a nice guy who talked fast and a lot. I had a problem with my truck starting and ask him for a quote on a starter and he complied. Then I ask him to check it out and see if that was the problem. Left the truck and called back in a couple of hours and ask if they had confirmed it was a starter issue. And he confirmed with his testing everything it was ok and they were changing the starter. A couple more hours and they called and said it's ready. When I arrived they brought the truck up and I drove off to my home, parked and came out the next morning and EXACTLY the same starting issue. Called and let them and let them know. The issue was a slow crank, noise sometimes just a click. Left the truck again, and an hour or so they called and said it needed a battery. The battery was 11 months old so I had the supplier replace the battery under warranty. So I ask the simple question "What about the incorrect diagnosis's?" Then the fast talking Andre starts telling me they didn't do anything wrong, they just replaced the starter that I ask for. That is not what I ask for. I needed my cranking/starting issue repaired. The manager Victoria was standing there and was very subdued and was not going to say anything different from Andre. They were not going to refund my $600 for a starter that the truck didn't need. Tough luck was their attitude. Andre said he talked to his managers boss and would talk to him again and call me this morning. It's now 2pm and no call. Who knew. This shop is not very reputable and the company has zero integrity. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. read more

Completely disreputable. Went in for a standard oil change and state inspection. The oil change somehow took two hours and my vehicle 'failed' the state inspection because of a 'leaky steering case.' They wanted more than $2,000 in parts and labor to repair said 'leaky steering case.' I smelled something foul and took my vehicle to a more reputable shop where I was informed that my steering case was in fact not leaky. There was minor fluid residue built up on the steering column and they simply wiped it away - then low and behold - my vehicle passed state inspection when they hooked it up to the diagnostic tool. City Garage was going to rip me off for $2,000. Not only were they going to rip me off, but the employees on staff were disorganized, misplaced paperwork they had just handled, and were making personal calls while serving other customers. I dropped my car off bright and early at the Euless location because 2 of my wheel studs in the front passenger wheel were broken and hence the lug nuts had fallen off! I got a picture from the garage later with 4 instead of 2 wheel studs broken! Moreover, the quote they sent me was outrageous! To replace ONE wheel hub assembly, they (the guy I spoke to was Justin) quoted me $800! I looked up the part online, it was $62 on auto-zone. I respectfully asked if I could bring my own part and they only charge me for labor! The price of the labor kept changing throughout the conversation, from $250 to $300. He even said, "if you bring your own part, we will need to charge you double labor which will be $600"... never heard of "double the labor" BS! In the past, a different City garage location had told me if I brought my own part, they will not be able to provide warranty on that service, which is pretty understandable, however, I was not given any explanation as to why the labor would be double in this case! He was not willing to work with me in anyway, hence I told him I would come pick up the car! He tried to make it harder for me saying I would need to get it towed and he wouldn't allow me to drive my car out of their premises! At that point I knew I DID NOT want to deal with this level of awful customer service anymore so I followed through the process of getting my car towed. Luckily, I was able to find another garage who took care of my issue for $200 total with part, labor and taxes!!!! I am highly baffled at how a garage that I have been continuously over the years going to thought they could rip me off like this! I went in yesterday because my car crapped out on me in the middle of the road. Several good samaritans helped me push my car to the nearest parking lot for safety. Luckily, I was within walking distance to this establishment. The lady at the front desk was so kind and got one of her mechanics (Superhero Caleb) to come out and look at my car. Horrible customer service! Store Manager John Senato completely blew up on me in front of my family after asking for clarification on why I was paying to keep my own battery they had to take out and replace. Was extremely rude and told me "Fuck You" in my face after asking him for the number to corporate so I can file a complaint. John refused to provided me the number and threatened to call the police on me to try and have them make me leave without him even giving me my vehicle keys back or him processing our payment. John then left the location in his personal vehicle refusing to provide any customer service to a paying customer. The customer service and experience I received from Store Manager John Senota was completely unacceptable. Do want to thank Store Employee Brandee who was kind after John left the store. Brandee took the time to explain the situation in a professional way that people can understand and receive. She then completed my purchase. read more

These guys are the worst! They tried to rip my mom off. My mom wanted a quote on a tune up. She has done plenty of business with them before but they kept getting higher and higher. She decided to give them a try again because its close to her home. She called me and said they wanted almost $400. They were charging her $22 for a spark plug. I priced Acura spark plugs and the highest one was $12. She told them that sounded awfully high and the service writer told her that they had already started the work. I called them and nicely told the guy that my mom was on a fixed income and couldn't not afford that. That they needed to come down on the price. He was arrogant and told me no the work had already been started. I told him to stop the work until the manager called me. He told me no and that he would put all the old stuff back on and she could just come get her car. We are from Euless. Me and my brothers went to Trinity and we love this community and the people who live here. No business in Euless should act like these guys. They are horrible!! My mom is almost 80 and if I wouldn't of been able to hear about how much they were going to charge her she would have been taken advantage of. They are thieves in my opinion. Rip off artists!! We have spent a lot of money with this garage for them to not do the work correctly. My husband took his truck in for brakes and to fix the emergency brake. They were not able to fix the emergency brake, but said they could do the brakes. We just found out when we went somewhere else for the emergency brake that City Garage didn't complete the brake job correctly causing a leak. Because of a $20 brake kit that City Garage did not put on when they fixed brakes. So now the brakes leak and have caused a lot of damage that a $20 kit could have prevented. Would not recommend them to an enemy. read more

To start off with this happened last year, I know most will say it's silly to post this late but I thought I had already posted it along with the google review I left a year ago. I would just hate for someone else to get cheated in the same way I did, go anywhere else... Just please trust me when I say DO NOT GO HERE! After spending $1500 to take my whole dash out and fix my AC, they actually broke my glove compartment (which now raddles) and broke my gear shift plate. Got my car back on Wednesday and on my way to work on Thursday it broke down, literally turned off on me while driving. They took it back in and stated it was a different part that needed to be replaced and they would do it for another $800. Let me just say that my car was having NO ISSUES running before I took it here, the AC was just not working. So why after taking it to them did my car all the sudden die the day after picking it up?!? No apologies at all, or talk of replacing the parts that were broken when they took the dash out. Shouldn't have gone here after reading the reviews but I needed a battery and it's right by the house. They never ran tests to confirm that it was actually my battery. Two days later, my car died again. I paid for a new battery I didn't need. I went back and turns out it was a faulty alternator and they charged me 67.50 just to tell me it was the alternator and not the battery after I dished out $300 to replace a battery that didn't need to be replaced. Then they wanted to charge me $850 to replace the alternator. Do not go here. If I could give it zero stars I would read more

They helped me out with my vehicle. the problem that I have seen is that they seem to get backed up, meaning they have work order for the day that people come in and are not able always able to help that day. We were treated exceptionally well, from getting a ride back to my house while they inspected my vehicle and did the repair, to the actual analysis of the vehicle itself. Let me also say this,...I had a great deal of repairs that needed to be done on my car and I knew specifically all the parts that needed to be replaced. City Garage did not know that I already possessed this information, so after they inspected my car and came to me with exactly the same repairs that I already knew needed to be done, and not a thing more, well,...you know,....that is a mechanic shop you can trust. Quoted over $1,000 and told all brake pads and routers needed to be replaced. I knew this was high, and immediately contacted a mechanic from my hometown. Brake pads only needed to be replaced on the front tires and front routers were able to be reserviced instead of being replaced. Back brake pads and routers were fine. With an oil change included, I paid $285. I do not appreciate the dishonesty and will make sure to share my experience here with anyone looking for a mechanic. This place is a joke!!! Go elsewhere! I took my husband's truck to get it inspected. Friendly at first, said there was one person in front of me and that it wouldn't take long. That was first lie. I waited over an hour. Then the lady comes out and says the truck won't pass because the passenger side window tint is too dark. What? Are u kidding me? It's a factory chevy tint! Same as drivers side window! Why would only one side be darker? Have had truck new since 07 and tint NEVER modified! Ridiculous! I immediately take it to kwikkar in grapevine and have my inspection in 15 minutes! Absolutely nothing wrong w my tint! Can't speak for repairs but they can't even do a simple inspection.
