It's only been 3 months and it's obvious they did a shoddy work on my brake change. I hear grinding and squeaking, plus there is a weird feel to the break peddle. I'm never going here again. With the amount of time I had to wait in order to get this done, I expected better quality. Update: after finally replacing my own break pads, I realize some hardware was also not replaced like one of the springs and one of the brake wear indicators. I just wanna start by saying it's thanksgiving weekend. Me and my family were leaving la gran plaza when our front tire suddenly started to deflate. We were able to make it to the parking lot of pep boys.The time was 6:15...they closed at 7. We had called serval times and then even waited outside the building. Locked. The cherry on top had to be was when at 6:45 a man who I assume was a store associate ran to his car which was parked next to us and didn't even look at us. I brought my car to get ac diagnostic and fixed cause it was blowing cold and then warm then cold they charged me 520$ said I had a leak they put dye in it and assured me that with the dye they would find the leak 2days after it was still doing the same thing I took it back and they couldn't find a leak I payed 520$ for nothing they didn't do nothing my car still not fixed and I am out of pocket 520$ don't waste your money or time taking your car there to get fixed cause apparently they don't know what they are doing read more

I just had an awful experience at Pep Boys on Seminary. I brought my truck in for rotor and brade pad replacement. A week later I was experiending squealing sounds and brought it to be looked at. Both the store manager and tech that serviced my vehicle drove my truck around the block and assessed that I need new rotors and brake pads AGAIN. The store manager claimed the store would not honor my warranty. They said there's nothing they could do but repeat the process and pay in full. They insisted there were no workmanship defects from the first install. I work for a large commercial construction company and will be sharing with all trade partners in Dallas/Forth Worth area to save their money and take their business elsewhere. Brought my car in for an oil change and check as I was heading on a road trip. Prior to the oil change, about a month before I had work done on the car to fix a "rattling noise" (sway bar) at a Firestone. After dropping the car off for the oil change, I get a call that my breaks will go out very soon so they have to fix them right now and to check my tire, they needed to "remove my tire to find the leak and it will be extra". A simple oil change and check, turned into asking hundreds for a problem, that after a check from another mechanic, didn't exist. Immediately when picking up my car, the rattle was back and i was met with awful service. Brought my car back to the original firestone, the sway bar was tampered with, the breaks are perfect, and tire did not need to be removed to be fixed. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! We bought my wife's car in for a basic oil and coolant change. We received the car report with NO ISSUES reported. We also had no issues with the car other than needing the two above mentioned issues. As SOON as we parked the car in the garage (mind you we live 8 minutes from the shop) the car started smoking and spewing liquid everywhere. We attempted to contact them and at first they said that since it's a Sunday they doubted they could help us today. We escalated to a manager, and had the vehicle towed to the shop to have them check their work. They claimed the fan came undone on its own at no fault of their own and wanted to charge us $500 to have it fixed. We escalated to corporate at which point still no ownership of damage was taken. We are seeking legal action at this point. read more

This place is ok when we went on a vacation our car stop working and the back wheels stopped moving we had to wait 3.4 hours until they picked us up.When they picked us up they took the wrong turn 5 times and was lost.When we got to pep boys they checked the car for 3.4 hours and they started working on the car and was 4 hours.Although they love the car nice and good a new it took a little long, but it was worth it I would give this place a 5 star but the wait was too long.But although thank you pep boys. read more

I made an appointment on line for an oil change it said 29.99 after the 20 dollar coupon so I show up check in get my oil changed and my tires rotated and when it comes time to pay she tells me my total is 75 dollars after the 20 dollar coupon I told the lady that's not what the website said when I made my appointment and she did seem to care one bit so I suggest any one looking for an oil change go somewhere else they will rip you off here. read more

I cannot even tell you how terrible this location is. We scheduled an appointment only to find out that when we got there they were not charging the same price as the coupon applied. Once I told them that my dealership charges way less and that I will just take it there, they matched the price AS A DEALERSHIP!!!!!! Ok, then they damaged my vehicle pulling it out of the bay in which they fixed. No one greeted me walking in. I was ignored and finally someone said something. SAME when I picked up. They did fix my car from the body damage, But let me tell you, I PROMISE to never go back here. Do what you will, but you should really watch your vehicle in and out the bays there. read more

This Pep Boys location is God awful! I would advise anyone that is in need of service and or assistance (especially on regards to tires) to seek out the nearest alternative. I would go as far as to suggest allowing a shade tree mechanic to assist you over these con artists. Please allow me too elaborate on why I have this negative view on this location. Yesterday my girlfriend had a blow out on two tires that were purchased and insured by Pep Boys 4 years ago which by the way the tires were supposed to be insured for 5 years or 75,000 miles. Neither stipulation had been met. However, my girlfriend has little knowledge about cars and unfortunately I was on a flight back home from D.C. She only needed 2 tires and they told her it would cost $350, but they told her to get all four tires so she could " get the best bang for her buck ". She asked about the warranty and was told that because her tires looked extremely worn the warranty and extras insurance she purchased was voided. So being stuck she agreed to buy all four ties for $500 plus tax. Afterwards, she was given her car she asked for one tire that was purchased from them 2 months ago which was not damaged. The worker took the spare tire and sat it on top of her nursing books and spare nursing outfits. He also tossed the spare tire on top of her books and nursing outfits instead of putting it under the mat where it belonged. You would think that would be it, but no as she pulled out of the parking lot she realized that her alignment was of so she backed back in to ask about it. The worker said "Oh yeah sorry, bring it back tomorrow and we'll fix it no charge. Also we broke a lug nut and placed out on order so we will fix that tomorrow as well." By the time I landed she was in tears because of these people. We returned together the next day and were told "We can fix your issues, but it will cost $89.99 plus tax." read more

This is the only place I'll take my car. They're quick but thorough. I received calls when they determined what was wrong, and all throughout the process. Polo the manager is EXCELLENT and kept me informed about the status of my vehicle at all times. If he tells you something is being done, it's being done. They treated me very well. One of the service men told me he would have my tires fixed by a certain time but when I went to get it it wasn't ready. They apologized and actually told me the service would be free because of the inconvenience. I was impressed with the customer service. The manager Pablo apologized and was very friendly. Do not choose this place. I feel extremely taken advantage of in a vulnerable situation. Last week I had an alternator short out in the middle of the highway. I had to have my car towed and chose this location because it was the closest shop to my car. I'm a young woman, and I always hate being in situations like this because time and time again, I'm gouged for things I don't need and considered ignorant and an easy target. This case was unfortunately no different. I was quoted one price and when it was time to check out, my final invoice was $400 MORE than they had told me. This was a simple procedure that they took hours to finish, and what they charged me in extra fees and labor was just ridiculous! They added things that they never informed me about. They literally took me for everything I had. AND as if that wasn't enough, when I drove away, my air conditioner no longer worked. I called immediately, but they wouldn't fix it because they had kept my car until closing time and said they weren't taking any new jobs. The guy acted like he had no idea how that could have happened and I must be crazy. I did a little research, realized they didn't reconnect the electrical wires to my compressor correctly. I ended up fixing it myself. The best thing I can say about this shop is that I'm thankful they didn't do permanent damage to my car, but the negligence with which they put things back together is astounding. All the screws were gone from the underhood cover. They literally just threw it back on and shut the hood. If you have a choice, go somewhere else! read more

I was visiting Ft Worth over the weekend. My car tire had a bulge in the sidewall. It's Sunday morning. Sam's Club didn't answer their phone and Discount Tire is closed on Sunday. I had a 3 hour drive to Austin that was NOT going to happen on that tire. Since I'm not familiar with the area, an internet search pulled up PepBoys. If I could give no stars I would. My headlight on my 2008 Ford Fusion went out, so I searched online and was told they replace bulbs for $9.99. I call and I'm quoted a price for a bulb. I go to the store and buy it and I'm told that the auto department can install it. I take it and I'm told no charge. This is great because I'm a full-time college student and funds are limited. I pull my car up and I watched the mechanic, with no tools, try to replace it. Of course he struggles, right? At this point there are 3 men under my hood, with no tools, trying to replace my bulb. I'm then told its hard to replace and that it would cost $30. I had to get to class, so I leave. I then double checked that online it said $9.99. I then called Pep boys to ask why was I quoted $30 when it says $9.99 online. I was then told it would take triple labor to replace the bulb. What is triple labor and why would it take 3 mechanics to change a lightbulb? I felt they were trying to rip me off..either because I'm a woman or because I'm African American. I will never go back to this store again. Anyway if it takes 3 men to change a bulb, it probably takes 7 to change a tire and I don't have time for that. read more

I rack up a lot of business miles each month and the staff at this Pep Boys location take excellent care of my high mileage vehicle. They monitor my need for routine maintenance service, tire and brake wear etc when I am in for oil changes. If there is any unusual or special repair needed, ask for Ben.
