Both outstanding attitudes and high work ethic. I like these two. Regular customer here. I came in today at 4:15 to get an annual inspection. The guy that met me in the drive said he sent his inspection guy home 15 minutes ago. They close at 5:00 pm...not 4 pm. Customer beware: Went to Speedee today to get oil change and a state inspection for my mothers car. They do not wear mask and they have very thin skin. Extremely rude service. She's elderly and high risk for Covid so we appreciate business that respect that we are still in a pandemic. Not only would they not wear masks the manager refused us service. I called them after I left and explained that it is only polite to wear masks. I don't care if they don't make customers wear mask but at least approach the customer with a mask because you don't know who is high risk. He used a very aggressive tone with me but by the end of the call he agreed that masks were good for some. A few minutes later the owner, Mr Kirby, called me and was yelling over the phone that if we don't like his mask policy then we aren't welcome in that location. He said "I'm tired of all you liberal virus people all scared of the virus. You can shove it up your a**! Don't come back!" He then hung up the phone before I could respond. No problem, I wouldn't go back to any Speedee location again if they paid me. To bad they don't care about their customers. We took the car down the road to Take 5. They did a great job. Very quick, fast, friendly service and they wear masks. Didn't even have to ask them. Night and day difference. I highly recommend Take 5. read more

Spent about an hr waiting for an oil change but they were extremely busy. The only issue is that when i arrived home and looked at my invoice I noticed that OW 20 full synthetic oil was used on my 2014 Dodge Ram 5.7L Hemi. Recommended oil for that truck is 5w 20 full synthetic. I have always used JIffy lube in the past for all my vehicle oil changes and they have always used 5w 20. I contacted Speedee via email and stated my problem but i have not received a response. Chances are, that i wont receive a response and will not be returning there to get any work done in the future. read more

Recently tried to get a state inspection and oil change this week. They had problems with the inspection equipment so would have to hold off another day ok fine. I'll just do the oil change call back at their request to find out if the state inspection equipment is working. Called yesterday Tuesday 04/29/2020 @10:00 am. Said it is working and we are busy perhaps you might want to come in later that day. Drove in a 4:00 pm one car in oil change bay guy comes out and said we're busy perhaps tomorrow, what...? I've been coming here for along time (decade and more) for all things they do with perhaps 8 cars over the years and perhaps several owners on their end. I have been coming to this place for at least 10 years and they always sold me a Mobil One oil change with a Mobil One oil filter. The young woman who asked how they could help me told me that they have never had Mobil One oil filters, got very rude with me, and eventually walked away. She claimed to be the owner and then that her father has been the owner for years. So, either they have been cheating me all these years charging me extra for a Mobil One oil filter or she doesn't know what she is talking about. I find no reason for her to get rude and belligerent with me. I thought I was the customer. Maybe she needs a course in customer appreciation and real service. I went to get a state inspection on a Saturday, expecting a crazy wait time. These young guys were very responsive, courteous and were diligent about their jobs. I was originally quoted a wait time of about 45 minutes but was out in about 30 minutes. Great service from these guys but I truly appreciated their personable approach. read more

They don't wear masks and apparently are sick of the virus and do not care if someone is concerned because of being a high risk. I've never been treated so rudely. I will never go back and want to let people know how rude and uncaring they are. They have absolutely no respect for their customers. I wouldn't recommend this location as I've run into the same issues others have posted about. I'm new to the area and came here for an inspection around 4:40 on Sat, no other customers but was told they close at 5pm and didn't have time. No biggie. Came back today at 4:20pm and was told the same thing. I'm not gonna beg to give my hard earned money away and this shop acts as if they don't want new business. I'm at Firestone now and although their inspection technician had just gotten off work he was glad to stay late to take care of me. They've earned a new customer. read more

Kylee greeted me when I arrived and completed my inspection she was very nice and friendly! As I entered the building there were 3 other employees standing inside talking, 1 lady and 2 men. No one acknowledged me or said hello. That was no big deal maybe they were busy. The two gentlemen left out to help Kylee with the inspection. Once they left the lady that was sitting behind the desk made a phone call to someone to complain about a customer. Apparently, the customer wanted the cameras reviewed because she accused someone of stealing her Yetti cup out of her car on Monday when she came for her inspection. I just found it very unprofessional and rude for this employee to call someone to complain about a customer when another customer was present and could hear the entire conversation. The employee also used profanity. She then proceeded to hang up with that individual and take a call from her mom and told her the same story about the customer. That should not have happened. I don't want to hear employees complaining about customers while I'm receiving service. Besides that, my experience was great! Super easy and quick. read more

took truck in to get check engine light on and was thermostat was bad so had them fix this issue. didn't drive truck till Monday when I had to go to work and light came back and truck running bad. so took back to shop and they couldn't figure out the issue. so i took to a different shop and one of the plug wires got loose some how and was charged 99.00 for them to look at it. so i tried to get money back and was told they couldn't refund money since we didn't touch plugs. this is the last time I go there and will not suggest this to anyone unless you want very bad service. read more

WOW - what kind of service place won't service your vehicle? Especially if they want repeat customers! The only "dipstick" in that place has blond hair, a big mouth and an attitude that screams "we don't need your business." Young, dumb and 100% ruining someone's business! Pulled in asking to have my oil checked, thought I was low. Attendant asked if I wanted an oil change - I said let's check it first. He indicated I was a quart low - I suggested we top it off. He then asked if I was a "returning customer." When I said no, he closed the lid and told me they don't top off. Needless to say, his response also came with an attitude to which I said ... "it's tough to become a repeat customer when you won't do any work in the first place." His response - "here are your keys." Shared my story with another business that was happy to help. I had called this shop due to its positive reviews to ask if they did break pad replacement. They told me to come one in and they'll get it done! I was happy they were able to get me in so fast and had excellent customer service. Unfortunately I left paying a bill of 500 dollars for ONLY changing the break pads for all 4 wheels of my car. At the time I didn't know I was being ripped off because I don't know too much about cars. When I soke to more knowledgeable people they showed me normal break pads for my car are 25-35 for a set, I can understand up charging for the convenience of getting them ordered, but I was up charged 100 dollars PER set. They sold me these break pads for $130 PER set. This is taking advantage of your customers that should have confidence in the mechanics working on their cars. I will never to go this shop again and I'll never recommend it. If anything I'll do the opposite. My breaks now make a sticky sound when I press on them and I took it to another mechanic to get that checked out (due to being ripped off I didn't trust the mechanics here) and they told me that they didn't even smooth the rotors off which is a very simply job that any mechanic should do when changing the pads. If that's not done then the wear on the pads will be uneven. Also to add, there was another woman waiting with me and she was using a coupon to get an oil change. The man at the counter told her it was not valid, although when I looked on line I found the same coupon and showed her... I should have taken that as a red flag that they are only there for your money. read more

these guys are always up to something and attempting to get you to buy something extra. the young guy Larry told me one price in a loud bay,I thought he said 4 dollars, I thought 4 bucks great, so hey go for it. they did the service and it was time to pay. come to find out it was 34 dollars and they charged me 15 for labor separate from the oil change coming to 49 dollars, on top of a 95 dollar oil change. total was 152 bucks. At the time the part was already installed on my vehicle so I tried not to give them a hard time, but I couldn't help but notice that I definitely felt like my dollar was not valued. this business has no black employees, so understand there's no one who will relate to you culturally in this place. if your of another race besides white. they treat their white patrons better than the others I watched a older white woman discuss pricing with them and actually got her way. but they stayed stern with me even though I told the guy I misheard him in the loud bay. and I've brought multiple vehicles to them over the years. my truck didn't even show up I'm their system so I guess someone has been putting my information in wrong this whole time since 2021. I'd go to a dealership where the attendants have expertise in mechanics, instead of these high school drop outs who tweak their grandpas old chevy in the garage over Busch lites and Guess what, it'll be the same price.. always went with speedee for value but they are just like all these other Companies, looking to get over at the expense of our dollars, the service costs more but you get less service and less attentive behaviors and nonchalant toward the customer overall. read more

Rude is an understatement. If the manager is this rude I can't imagine how the other staff is. Brought in my BMW for an oil change and took my car to the BMW dealership the next day only to find out SpeeDee didn't just put the wrong oil but also the wrong filter which led me to pay double the price to fix it. I mean mistakes happen, and I'm okay with that, as far as it's dealt with professionally. I requested a refund and brought in a letter from bMW to make my case legit, the guy sitting on the front desk refused to speak to my friend quote "it's her car and I'm gonna deal with her only" which was ridiculous and he then said the owner will contact us for a refund although on the phone he had told us if we brought a letter from BMW in he would process the refund instantly. Two weeks ago the mechanic recommended we should replace the brakes on my jeep. Current staff in the Bedford location are completely high strung and ready to trigger on anything. Be prepared to know your place if you want service! I have been using the same two SpeeDee locations (Bedford #2085 and South Arlington #2079) exclusively for over twenty years because of how I was treated by the owner back then. I noticed the change during my last visit but just chocked it up to another round of staff changes and it would settle down. This time was over the top unacceptable to the point I no longer felt I could trust them with anything I value. SpeeDee has unfortunately lost another three vehicles today, all overdue for service. I just don't see how they can stay profitable with the leadership climate they have created. I wish them luck in the future.... read more

Avoid! Took my car to our mechanic today and they showed me a pan containing about a quart of scorched up conventional oil, where five quarts of barely used synthetic should have been. This place had pocketed our very expensive synthetic oil that WE provided and put cheap conventional in my high mileage car (but they did remember to charge us for a synthetic oil change). They almost destroyed my engine by doing this. read more

Took my truck there on 2/18/16 for a vehicle inspection. There was a Inspection Sticker, dated 5/16 under the Registration sticker dated 2/16. I,ve had the truck for 6 yrs. The vehicle Registration was due at the end of 2/16, The Inspection Sticker was Valid for 3 more months, which I did,nt know how it worked, Instead of this shop telling me so, they peeled the sticker off, and did there inspection, and failed the test, making me drive around for another 20 miles, to set more cods in the computer.after 2 more trys it passed. They charged $25.50 For a State Inspection I did,nt need. I wrote to the owner,s Matthew Kirby and he refused to repay. BUYER BEWARE! This business does not respect the virus. Very disappointed as we have used them since they have opened. We had 5 cars that needed servicing today. Took the 1st one for inspection. I asked what precautions do they take regarding the virus. The operations manager that came to my car informed me that they will wear gloves but cannot force their wear masks. I asked if they could ask them to wear a mask and he said they could not service me. I called the owner and he had the same rude attitude! Even accused me of "being scared of the virus"! I informed him that I was not scared of the virus but am "respecting" the virus. ESP since one of the cars belonged to my 98 year old father. He just lost 5 customers. You would think in the middle of a pandemic he would be doing everything he could to retain customers especially since he has a lot of competitors. FYI I went up to Vincent's Auto service on HWY 26/ Cheek-Sparger Rd and they wear masks and gloves as part of their protocol. Very enjoyable experience! read more

My experience: Today, I went in for an oil change, and a/c service as a repeat customer. Immediately, I noticed the energy from my last oil change, professionalism and personalbility. The staff has changed and I like it. Although it's part of a franchised chain, it feels like a 'mom-n-pop' shop. Specifically the young-lady who greeted me listened and was attentive. She was not hasty or rushed me through what I needed. The young-man who is one of the son's of the owner was personable, honest and attentive.
