TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE DON'T GET TAKEN BY THESE CLOWNS I took my extra car which had been sitting for a while to get the fluids changed, easy enough. They call me with your car needs a new battery. Sure seems reasonable I go buy one from next door (This is important later) and now my car also needs new battery clamps. They are not corroded, they are making it perfect contact with the battery terminals. Take my car go home. Take the car out for a drive drive it around for about 45 minutes everything is fine take it on the highway wide open throttle parked the car perfect. Next day car will not start the car won't start with a jump start The AAA starter is telling me my car now has a short. I have it towed back to the shop to have things replaced under warranty as they told me my car was fixed. Apparently now my fuel pump is also broken when it has been replaced within the last couple of years and had very few miles on it. I say well that doesn't explain why the battery is dead. So I take it back to them and let them keep messing with it and now I need a new alternator too. But they found that the alternator was draining the battery. I asked him if the car starts and just runs until the battery dies They said yes so I said okay well we can do these things I just want to see the car start and run off the battery power first. I get there and they show me it cranking not starting not running off the battery power. I tell the manager Zach that I was told that it just needed an alternator and that the alternator was the reason that the car wouldn't start. He says no it needs a fuel pump and now it needs an alternator too. I tell him I was told that the car starts and runs and goes until the battery dies he says no one ever said that and called me a liar. The parts cost is about 30% more than the exact same part costs next door at O'Reilly's. If you need parts they order it from O'Reilly's next door and charge you a 30% up charge. I've had enough I take it to my mechanic who works on my nice cars and they broke the alternator. The clip that goes into the alternator has been broken because somebody did not know how to unclip it. Over the multiple weeks (WEEKS!) they had the car, they actually managed to break things and cause new problems. Unbelievable. A complete waste of time. I was charged $10 for an air filter but I had assumed it was included in the oil change service as that's what it states on their website. When I asked the technician about it, he gave me an excuse and said that it was a $15 oil filter so I should be happy I was getting it for $10. If I had known I would be paying for an oil filter, I would have gone to NTB as I had my oil filter replaced during my last oil change. The technician looked at me like I was the stupidest person in the world for only getting my oil filter replaced every other oil change. Then I attempted to use a $10 coupon at check out but was denied because "every location is different." If every location is different, and there are no consistencies in your services, why would I ever choose to give my business to any Kwik Car location? read more

I was just at this Kwik Kar location to get my oil changed. the employee walked in when I was getting ready to pay and he told me he had broke my oil dip stick. I asked if they were going to replace it and he said no it wasn't his fault. I then asked to talk to the manager and the manager said the same thing it was not their fault And it HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! (Maybe put some training in place to fix this issue?). He then told me I could go across the street to oreillys to buy a new one or they will up charge me for one if they have to go get it. after a while of talking the manager eventually said he was done and just sat there in silence. he gave me a 15 dollar discount and that was it. Stopped by for an inspection, and I actually need a full synthetic oil change as well. I didn't have the time for an oil change today, but I had planned on coming back for my oil change since it's close by. I will not however be going back. I was told by a employee when I pulled up that he was finishing an inspection and could get me up next in approximately 10 minutes. While waiting in the lobby, another female customer walked in (she did not have an appointment, I asked) and asked for an inspection as well. A different employee told her he could get her going right away. At this point I had already been there 10-15 minutes. Sure enough, that customer was out within 15 minutes. My inspection was somehow slated for after her, and I ended up being there for 1 hour. The gentleman that did my inspection is not the person who registered me, and he was a nice employee. However, it's not my responsibility as the customer to inform the employees my place in line. I will not be going back for my oil change nor any other service after wasting 1 hour for an inspection. read more

Got my oil changed there yesterday, and woke up to a puddle of oil in my driveway this morning. Turns out they reused the same plastic plug that every other oil change establishment replaces each change (and that manufacturers also suggest replacing.) Today I had to pay for a second oil change 24 hours later. So I called up there, talked to the manager Zach... I thought I'd be cool, and just let them give me a free oil change at a later date rather than having to reimburse me the money. Got called a liar essentially... And offered 20% discount on my next change (as if I would go back at this point.) Yup, I'm lying. I just wanted to pay for 2 oil changes in 24 hours. I absolutely dread getting my oil changed and often go way past the 3,000 mile mark before taking my car in. The anxiety of a mechanic trying to push all kinds of services on me and sitting in a crummy waiting room for hours is what keeps me from taking better care of my car. Since I always had good luck with the Kwik Kar in South Austin, I decided to give this Fort Worth location a shot. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by the owner as I was getting out of my car. They quickly pulled my car in to take a look at it. Just a few minutes later, a mechanic came in to talk to me about the state of my car. I really expected a long laundry list of suggestions and some judgement on how long it has been since my last oil change. The guy who helped me was the opposite of my dreaded expectations. He was super nice, only suggested getting my transmission fluid changed and said everything else looked really good. Yay! He did not pressure me at all about the transmission fluid and I decided to have them go ahead and do it since I was already in there. The waiting room was a typical lube shop waiting room, but to my pleasant surprise they had a few toys that my 2 year old was super excited to play with while we waited. Another nice surprise was how nice all the other customers were who spent a little over an hour in the waiting room with us. Maybe I won't put off getting my oil changed so long next time! read more

Had so many problems with this place that I could write a whole book about them. I originally went to get the steering rack replaced because that is what the mechanic suggested. In the span of about a year and a half, they replaced the rack numerous times because it kept leaking. Finally a year and a half later, it doesn't leak, but the truck shakes on the highway, which is why I brought the truck to them in the first place. I believe the root of the problem comes from them using remanufactured parts rather than new. After paying a thousand dollars for the job I'd expect new parts. I do not recommend this place for anything more complex than an inspection. read more

Clearly there are better places to receive an oil change for a 2015 Honda Civic. $76 for an Oil Change here?.....Don't be a victim of gouge and up charge. Beyond that, they evidently do not know how to seal back what they uncap for the change. Because of this, we had to deal with an open flap dragging along the road, which we had to self repair on a Sunday which we missed attending our Church because of. I am sure here are good people working here, and not everyone's experience is the same, but we feel taken advantage of by a careless job. We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere in the future. I hope they take this review seriously so that it does not happen to any poor souls in the future. There are regular specials and discounts, and they even found my OEM Michelin truck tires on sale for less than Costco when I needed new tires recently. They changed out my mother in laws caddy battery in just minutes despite it being close to closing on a Saturday.
