STAY AWAY: I asked the service manager, Memo, if he can check out the tire thread count on my tires because I need two new tires as they have air bubbles in them. Since I drive an AWD vehicle, if the tires that are NOT being replaced are not within a thread count of 3/32s to the new ones, then I would have to get four brand new tires. New tires come at 10/32s. Therefore, the two tires that are not being replaced will have to be at least at 7/32s in order to avoid getting four brand new tires. When Mr. Ferrer checked the tires, he told me they were between 5/32s and 6/32s so I would need all four brand new tires. It seemed very odd to me because these tires were brand new in 11/2016! I went to Costco to get a second opinion and they told me that all of the tires are at a 9/32s which means that the tires are fairly new! I have been coming here for a few years without a problem. I recently took my car to the Blackstone location and they MESSED up my car so I took it back to the Shaw location and they apologized about the crap job I got at the Blackstone location and got it all fixed up within 45 minutes. I'll give them a 2 for putting 2 tires on. They we're going to charge me $60 for an alignment after $360 tires. And weren't going to due a full alignment. Told me they have to move my whole front end (cradle shift) to adjust camber. Good thing I know better. Sorry for the people that don't. read more

I'd give this place 5 stars for my previous experiences there but only 1 star for my last one. Blaze (manager) has been super helpful in the past & the work has been done correctly & on time, they seem very honest. My last experience however was a different story. I made an appointment (a week ahead of time) for 8 am on 7/3 to have an oil change, tire rotation, & alignment done. I had a 2.5 hour window before I had to leave for work, thinking that was plenty of time, (considering that I had an apt). Upon getting checked in, I was told they had a "screw up on the schedule" and there was only one mechanic there until 9:30 & they had "all this other work to do" so they couldn't guarantee my car would be ready. I ended up not having enough time to get my alignment done & still make it to work. Just an oil change took 1.5 hours! This is really very unacceptable when I had made an appointment. If they can't have enough staff on hand to do the services requested, then don't schedule any appointments for that time. Pretty simple stuff. I'd like to give them one more chance but if they don't get their customer service issues fixed I won't be back again. read more

Well all I can say is I stood in line for 20 minutes while the rep took another customer outside to look at her car. There was a few people in line and no one else came to help. I never got to ask how much an oil change and rotation would be because after 20 minutes just standing there not being helped I could only imagine how long it would take to actually help me and complete my oil change. Todate I have not had any problems with their work, but they guys just dont know the concept of an appointment. In July of 2014, I showed up on time for an appointment and yet it took them 45 minutes before they even started the work. Fast forward, Jan. 2015, I make an appointment, show up on time and 1 hr and 15 minutes later the work has still not begun. I asked that the car be taken off the rack, and i left. This location will not receive any future business from me. My concern is that the reviews for the other locations are equally poor. read more

This place is great. It is the only place I will take my car. They have great deals and will match any advertised price. My check engine light came on recently and I was freaked. I took it in and the guys checked everything thoroughly. It they changed some switches first ( most inexpensive thing), then eventually I found out it was my catalytic converter. But they fixed it fast and did a great job. I did check around for prices and they were able to get me the best deal. I also get all of my oil changes and my last set of tires there. read more

I will never, *ever* take any of my cars back there. I gave them two chances, and they screwed both jobs up so bad I had to go back four or five times with each repair to get it right, and in both cases, they never did get it right. Case one: Had a seized A/C compressor on my 2001 Expedition, of which I installed a new one. Also I supplied to them a new receiver assembly from NAPA. (I was planning to do the job myself, but realized I would never be able to flush the dual system out properly, so I figured I'd better let the people with the right equipment clean it out properly. Big mistake!) They installed my receiver, removed, drained and recharged the compressor oil, freon-charged the system up so it was cooling properly, billed me $400 and change, and I thought everything was good. Two hours of sitting in my driveway, and the system dumped the entire charge in an explosive instant. I took it back, and they claimed "my part" had failed. "The spring on the compression fitting must have broken. We cannot be held responsible for customer-supplied parts." So they gave me back the receiver, less the compression fitting spring, and they put in a Ford-authorized replacement, and recharged the system. Another $450. I took the "bad" part back to NAPA and got my $60 back. But it wasn't over yet. The A/C wasn't cooling as well as before the fitting blew. I went back two or three times with my complaint, and the best I got was "well, when it's hot outside, you can't expect the A/C to drop its air discharge temperature to lower than about 70 degrees under the best of circumstances. Which was an out-and-out lie! I just added freon to my Grand Marquis in 105 degree ambient conditions, and the air temperature coming out of the vents is 45 degrees! I still can't get the Expedition's A/C to lower than 57 under the best of conditions. I think I can correctly lay blame on the Firestone store for messing it up . . . perhaps air in the system, perhaps a clog. Whatever, their blaming the NAPA part was just a smoke screen. I later did an intake manifold replacement on the car, and found the "broken" connector spring intact under the manifold. Nothing failed on the part I supplied. They didn't snap the connector in all the way, the connection didn't hold up to the pressure, and they blamed my part instead of their own incompetence. It's almost like they didn't want to charge the system all the way after that fearing that the connection *with their part installed* would fail again, proving their inability to put the connectors together properly. To add insult to injury, four months later I went to change a flat tire, and found the crank (which is mounted under the hood) to lower the spare tire was missing. I had to go back to the store to reclaim my merchandise that they had taken off my car, and carelessly neglected to put back on. It's amazing they even owned up to having it after that long. That four months could have been four years before I realized they had stolen a part from my truck! Case two: I had a starting problem, and figured it might be a fuel pump problem. I had a flatbed take the vehicle to Firestone for repair. My Expedition was delivered from the factory with an unusual 35-gallon fuel tank as part of the factory towing package. So the tank is an unusual one, and evidently in high demand on the used market. All I know after their fuel pump replacement is the truck stopped running with 1/4 of a tankful still registering on the gauge. I took the truck back, and they admitted getting the wrong pump/pickup/sender unit installed, so it read 1/4 tank, when it was actually empty. I took the truck back, and they put the "correct" unit in. But ever since that repair, the fuel tank never seems to take as much fuel as it once was capable. Did they have a "hot" buyer for the super-large extra-capacity tank that came with my Expedition from the factory? Why did the pump assembly they initially ordered for my truck not fit properly? Could it be because somebody surreptitiously installed a new standard tank in my truck and sold the extra-capacity tank at a high premium, and then the part that arrived didn't fit the replacement tank? I may never know the answer until I pull all that stuff out *myself* and check the part numbers. One more addition of insult to injury: I had to go back one more time to have them replace the battery positive terminal insulator cap that they removed and never replaced until I insisted it was there before, and needed to be replaced. Rotten attention to details, no concern to safeguarding a customer's property, lying to get out from a tight spot when confronting a customer's complaints, and a real possibility that somebody there is on the take to sell customer's desirable parts at a premium expecting them not to notice the difference. It's enough to make me rant like this and tell everyone *I'M NEVER GOING BACK THERE!* read more

SCOUNDRELS! My car gets free tire rotation and lifetime wheel alignment per warranties I have with Firestone Co. Twice I took my car to the Shaw location for both services. The first time I picked up my car only to find they didn't even check my alignment. The second time was worse. After a couple hours waiting the manager told me they couldn't even check alignment because my wheel bearings needed packing. He then offered to pack them for $199. Huh? No way. Four months later I take the vehicle, sans any bearing repacking, to the Blackstone Firestone for the same rotation/alignment service. All done in 90 minutes. No mention of bearings needing packing. Nice try Shaw. Pretty greasy indeed. read more

Needed some tires for my BMW, and ordered a set of Driveguard tires. None in stock but they said it would be in the next day. As promised they were in the next day and I took the car in to get my tires put on. I showed up at my appointment time (30 minutes early) and was taken care of right away. Being run-flats they took a little longer than normal tires but that is totally understandable, RF's are a pain in the rear to work with, period. They got them on and finished the job, and I went home. What a difference those tires made, quiet, smooth, and yet very grippy (if that's a word). Now, for my take on this job, it was done in a very professional manner and with great care. This is absolutely the very first time I've brought a car home after a tire replacement and found that the tire pressures were correct. Excellent workmanship!!!! Usually after getting tires replaced at other places I check them for correct pressures and find that they've been over pressured by 5 to 15 lbs, and from one place they managed to pump 22 lbs more than what is required by the manufacturer. So I was very pleased to find the exact pressures required by the manufacturer of the car. Great Job guys!!!! read more

Every time you get an appointment, you end up waiting 1-1 1/2 hour to get something simple like tire rotations done. They seem to be always behind & couple times I called ahead & they said yes bring the car over now we'll do it right away. Then you show up & the guy with glasses keeps telling you "it'll be few hours"!! Walk next door to Discount Tire and they get the work done in no time! read more

BUY YOUR TIRES ELSEWHERE!!!!! Would give -5 stars if possible 3rd crappy experience here. First time was buying the tires and it took about 3 hours longer than they (Blaze the manager) said it would take. When I finally rolled out of there the TPMS light was on - they either didn't put any air in the tires or didn't reset the monitor. I believe it was the monitor. Second time hubby took it in for a road hazard repair. He brought it home and when I went to work the next day, I noticed the TPMS light was on. So he took it back on the weekend an had them reset the monitor. 3rd time was just this week. We were getting ready to head out of town when we had another screw in the tire apparently too close to the previous (12 inch) to be repaired and had to get a new tire - they waited 2 1/2 hrs just tell us this. They did not have the same brand/model tire as that I had on my care and tried to convince hubby that it would be ok. He wasn't having any of it as he worked in a shop when he was in high school and knew there would be excessive road noise (theses are low profile tires and there is plenty of road noise as it is). So, they would order the correct tire and have it in by Friday afternoon. We ended up renting a car for our trip out of town, came back Friday night, no phone call to let us know the tire was in. Hubby called saturday to confirm the tire was in, went in and had the new tire installed. AGAIN, the TPMS light was on and he returned immediately to have them reset the monitor. I can't believe the ineptitude of this bunch of supposed professionals. TPMS are pretty standard on most cars nowadays, not real cutting edge. We are done with this group of idiots! read more

Went in for an oil change because appointments were full at the dealership. I bought my own oil filter from dealership and took it to them to use as I have had a leak due to an improper seal in the past when going outside of dealership. Firestone refused to use my filter even after I agreed to pay for a filter from them in the full price of oil change. It's now Saturday night that I observed oil all over my garage floor and oil all over the bottom of my car. I have to wait until Monday to do anything about it as everything is closed on Sundays. I knew this would happen yet they ignored my request to use my factory oil filter. We'll see Monday morning what they intend to do to accommodate me???? read more
