What a disappointment to take my car into Firestone on Saint James Avenue in Goose Creek on March 2nd and not receiving customer service worthy of the money I paid for services rendered. I had no issue dropping my vehicle off with a 8:00 appointment and to find that when I returned at 3:50pm that my vehicle wasn't ready. I actually had no problem with that. I did, however have a problem when I saw that my vehicle was no longer in the bay and I asked the technician where my vehicle was and he stated "out fir a test drive" as he texted on his phone. I then had a problem after waiting 15 minutes and no sighting of my vehicle when I walked outside to see my vehicle parked in the lot. I was livid! I asked the technician if he was sure that the vehicle was being tested driven because I see it parked in the lot. He didn't even show a sign of embarrassment. I settled the bill, my keys were returned to me and then I departed only to be horrified to see oil on the driver's door handle, all over the driver's seat, top and bottom, and across the passenger seat. I returned to the service counter and requested that the technician come take alot at home the vehicle was returned to me and directed that he bring with him a cleaning cloth. Upon seeing the vehicle, the technician apologized and attempted to wipe the black stuff which made it worst. He stopped and said that he would "go get something to clean it." Well, he sprayed something on the seat and started rubbing which, again made the matter worst. I asked him what he was spraying on the black stuff and he showed me the can...fabric cleaner! I told him that the seat is leather and that he could not use that spray! He replied, "This should be ok." I ordered him to stop and he did. He told me that he would be right back. Upon his return, he told me that "the manager will order leather cleaner and we should have it tomorrow and you can bring the car back." I asked if it were possible for them to call me once they got the product versus me having to contact them. The technician agreed that it was possible. Well, a full day has gone by and I have not a word from Firestone. I guess I'm not a valued customer to them. At any rate, once I got home, I discovered that some of that oil actually got on my blouse, so I couldn't wait on Firestone to do right by me anyway and I had ti go get a cleaner myself. Uhm...so I paid them to do a job and in return they return my vehicle back to me at an additional cost for me to clean up their mess. This is usually my go to place because the service is quick and the employees are friendly. I needed two tires mounted on rims. Well today I went here and the lady at the counter had a slight attitude because it was not her home store. She told me that they could not get to it until 4 pm because they only have two technicians working. Needless to say I opted to go somewhere else because the lady had an attitude and mainly because they would not get to it until 4 pm. A place of business like this for the volume of work they get should have more than two technicians working. Terrible service! Took a flat tire in on Monday. There were only two mechanics on duty, so they couldn't get to it. Tuesday, there was only one mechanic, so they couldn't get to it. Mid Wednesday it was repaired. I picked it up Thursday. The manager rolled the tire to my car expecting to put it in the trunk. I asked her to mount it. I waited an hour and it still wasn't mounted. So I went in for a tire last week, now my car is overheating. Wasn't having this issue before I took it there. And sure it's just speculation, but why when I only want a single tire, do they have my hood open? I'm not a mechanic but I know taking off the wheel, and replacing a tire, doesn't require the hood to be open. Leading me to believe this issue came up to try and get more service out of me. I attached a picture of where it's gushing antifreeze. Idk about any of y'all, but that's an interesting clean cut, in a line that would just normally tear when it fails. Firestone is high as hell. But what car service place isn't? I've been coming to this location for 10 years, and I like to stick to what I know. I called 2 weeks ago to ask about a gas smell my car was having. They told me to bring it down, and they will check it out. Upon further inspection, I saw some liquid under my car, and it smelled of gas. I called them back, and Mr. Tim told me not to drive the car as it is a risk of fire since my car was leaking actual gas. He handed me over to Jason, and he told me the same thing to not drive the car. He explained everything in detail to me and even encouraged me to shop around for a better deal. I appreciate them both for their kindness and honesty. They both were very helpful in my decision and I hope they don't leave! They are awesome and very nice! We need more people like them in the workforce. And a plusnis that they gor thr part in way earlier than anticipated. So I was happy about that! read more

I had my oil changed at a Walmart and almost 2 weeks later my oil was out. Took it to Firestone and found a hole in my oil filter. They replaced my filter and changed oil correctly. I will be taking filter back to Walmart for a refund. Couldn't be happier with the service and repairs. read more

My car had multiple issue and it came to over $3,000 in costs. i had to call them over 5 times just to get the cost of the repair and list of general issues. I had a horrible experience. They did a diagnostic on the vehicle told me it was the caliber and speedometer and brakes the had to replace. When the work was done it cost me $1,500. I test drive it and the brakes was going to the floor as if air was in the brake line. When I brought the vehicle back for the to correct the brake, a different team member try to charge me to do another diagnostic and more work. I then take my vehicle to Brakes For Less that same day and they told me that the problem was my booster and that's why the brakes felt that way. I payed the $126 and the problem was fixed. I want to know, what did Firestone charge me for? My vehicle was unsafe to drive after picking it up and they didn't even care. Worst experience ever! Never again! read more

Best experience with a mechanic shop since moving to the Creek! Made an appointment to have my AC diagnosed, they determined the issue and scheduled the repairs for a Saturday morning. Dropped the truck off Saturday morning for repairs and was called early afternoon to pick it. They did a great job at a great price (I checked other shops for same service and Firestone was by far the best), and had great customer service. They were great! We had an issue with a plastic shield cover for the oil pan coming partially off dragging on the ground. We were on our way home m a wonderful weekend in Charleston and had 4 more hours of driving. They took a look removed the shield and had us back on the road within 10 mins. Unhelpful. No sense of costumer service. Did not even try. My car had checked engine light came out hard to start so I immediately took it there. The guy receiving told me his techs for the day does not know how to diagnose check engine light and the only guy who can do it is not in for the day and works there only 2x a week. I asked what should I do, or any temporary recommendation and he said he can't help me and does not even care at all. For a major auto repair shop, does not know how to diagnose check engine lights?! I can't say enough how much I appreciate his effort and the shop for being reasonable. This place does an ok job but nothing great. I had them work on my breaks but they were still bad and started to squeal after two days. I went somewhere else to find out I had the wrong break pads installed on my vehicle. Second, I had this place rotate my tires which should be pretty basic. They told me I needed new lug nuts that cost almost $40.00 to change out so I said go ahead. At the same time they told me they would reset my tire service light which comes on after switching tires to different locations but that was not done either. All in all Im not too impressed with the service and don't recommend going here unless you have a flat tire. By the way I noticed they try very hard to up sell you things you don't need to make more money. I watched them do this to everyone trying to get their vehicles worked on. The tire pressure light came on 3 days ago so I came by to have it checked out. The manager was in no hurry to help me. Instead I stood there while he chatted about the weather with another customer (whose business was finished). When I told him why I was there he laughed at me and said it was just the weather. Every time I have used a Firestone they have been nothing but accommodating and helpful. They are competitively priced and have great promotions on oil changes and whatnot. They may not be the best at walk-ins but they have a lot on their plate at any given time. I always appreciate them getting me in and taking care of my needs as soon as they can. read more

Really, only two customers ahead of me? All I needed is one tire to be checked, since it was low on air. I brought my truck in for a tire rotation. The technicians that they have here do not rotate tires according to tire manufacturers standards. To get them to rotate your tires the proper way you apparently have to ask for them to do extra work. It's either that or they rotated them properly and didn't want to admit they messed up the installation of my air pressure sensor. read more

Dropped our car off for a flat repair went to get breakfast then to the bank, then got a car wash, came back sat and watched the guy work as slow as possible stand around and talk then slow as possible to put the lift arms under the car then after he finally got them set after almost 10min he then took another 20 mins just to get my spare tire off then to put my fixed tire on the car then to finally finish while putting his greasy work hands all over the car and windows! Worst place ever, i used to do this kind of stuff for a living and have never seen someone work so slow on a car, it's ridiculous. Horrible!! read more

I scheduled my cars 1st oil change at Firestone complete auto car in Goose Creek. I have been taking by vehicles to them for years for service. After changing my oil and repairing a nail in my tire, I paid them for there services. At that point the Manager told me they had damaged my brand new SUV! He sent me to fender menders to get it repaired. (they were closed) I took my car for an estimate and sent it to the manager. A release was went by the corporate office for me to sign to cover the cost of repairs and Approx. 500.00 extra . The bill went over the estimate by 115.00. I emailed the SR Claims specialist to make her aware of the overage. She called the Body shop and paid the direct for the damages. When I contacted the claims specialist to release the balance of the fund, She told me the release was null and void and no funds were due to me. Really? DO NOT trust Firestone to live up to their commitments! read more

I'm really shocked at the negative reviews. My experience was very different. I went in to get an alignment. An hour later, I was told it was finished. The manager explained to me that my frame underneath was very bent, like it had been kicked or had been in an accident. He fixed it with no extra charge and I was on my way with a lot more money in my wallet and a weight lifted about having this problem resolved. I was treated with dignity and respect. The manager, Greg, was super nice and I can't say enough about how awesome they were!! It's not everyday a woman can say that about the way they are treated in the auto repair business. Went here for the first time for an oil change was charged more than I pay at my usual place $40 versus $25 oil change. Low engine oil light comes on the next day and I take it back to firestone, they had shorted me 1 quart of oil. Their policy states if they mess up a service you get refunded but this did not happen. My check engine oil light came on halfway through the 3,000 miles so I just took it somewhere else. Their waiting area was very clean and they had lots of toys for kids, a tv and water fountain so that was nice. I told a manager about my experience and he did offer to change the oil (the halfway through time) for free since the light came on super early and I'd had all those issues and it spoke well on Firestone that he tried to make it right but my car is my way to work and I can't afford to give out third chances. Unlike the other poster they did not tell me a bunch of stuff that was "wrong" with my vehicle. read more

BEWARE!!!! These gentlemen are not who you want working on your car. They tried to charge me $1,700 for something that, in the end, only cost me about $100. What happened was, I took my car in because my A/C was giving me problems after trying to fill it myself with store bought refrigerant. I had a felling I over filled it, and I told that to the gentleman that helped me at the counter, so all I wanted was the service where they drain and refill the refrigerant to the proper level. If they did that the problem would have been fixed right then and there. They call me and say, "it's blowing cold air now sir." When I went over to pick up my vehicle and test the A/C, and sure enough, it was still not working. I told the gentleman at the counter that the problem wasn't fixed and then they wanted to charge me another $40 to look at it again after i just paid $141 for the service they performed, "Okay, I guess I have no choice," I said. After looking at the car they called me and told me that the problem was my compressor, and that not only did the compressor need to be replaced but two or three other things should be replaced while they were in there and it would cost in total $1,532, on top of the $141 + $40 for inspection. $1,713 they wanted in total from me!!!! No way could I afford it, so I took it to Sears Auto to get a second opinion. Thank god for the people at Sears!! They Looked for free and found out that the refrigerant tank was over full by 12oz and that's what was causing the problem. I paid them about $100, they filled it to the proper level and the A/C works like it's brand new!!!! The guys at firestone either didn't even work on my car and charged me for it or they did a very unprofessional job and they tried to rip me off for an additional $1,600. Either way...I will never go back/trust these guys ever again, and I would advise you the same, especially if you don't anything about cars. Please stay away, and don't give any business to these bad guys. Alot of the businesses out there need a big change, and this is a prime example. If you want to keep you hard earned $...then trust me and stay away from this store. read more
